"Net I really doubt you should leave now.As maraha and Dani said,the EC are coming."Coolpikaaa said as he turned to Maraha."As she said,she IS the enemy..we could always..."He let his words trail off there.He really hadn't considered her a threat and doubted anyone really wanted to kill her.

"Theres a lot of people there, some of them are wounded, but there doesn't appear to be any agression between any of them, and aside from Little Sister none of them are known to my forces, so its hard to tell what side they're on. I'll be able to tell you more once I get more armadillos in the area but for now thats all I can tell."

Bog watched as the Mobile HQ came into view right at the edge of his firing range. He quickly sets his binoculars down and sets up his Sniper rifle. He hadn't expected this twist, and had been hoping Fort would have appeared in the open, making for an easier shot.

Looking at the Mobile HQ, he quickly thought up a plan.

Taking careful aim, a shot rings out, and at the MHQ a front tire punctures and starts to hiss. Another shot, and the other front tire starts to hiss in unison with it's equally shot partner.

They may be able to change one tire, but they wouldn't be able to change two, which means the group, and his target, would have to leave the HQ if they hoped to continue heading to the battle.

Or so he hoped.

As you wish, Coolpikka. As for you, Maraha, I'm afraid I cannot let you do that. I don't wish to harm a mere slave of the council, but I will not let them harm a rebel either. Thus, I am in quite a predicament. Therefore, I'm going to freeze you in time, so neither you nor others can be harmed.

*Net raises a Time Distortion field around Maraha, slowing time around her to a near-stop.*

((Three pages and we're already into the big stuff, eh? Time Distortion can't stop time and it can't last forever, but it can slow stuff down to an infinisimle rate. It requires some concentration, so although Net's gotten good at it over the years, he probably won't be able to keep it up if someone else attacks him. Or a rock falls on his head. Something along those lines, anyway Wink

((Chances are I'm just hopelessly ignorant, but I believe the mobile HQ is far too large for tires/wheels, and, if it isn't, would likely be in a snowmobile configuration, IE, treads and ski's))

*as soon as Kara saw the evil council's mobile headquarters gate into the area, Kara activated her dimensional stabilizers to block further teleportation in or out of the area and immediately iniated a tri-scan (thermal, X-ray, neutrino) of the mobile command center to attempt to locate any life forms on board and see if she could spot Fort or if any of them gave any indications (for example sitting on a particularly ornate throne) of being the leader. when Kara heard Bog's shots ring out and disable the command center's mobility, she swore under her breath.*

If Kheesth had had eyebrows, she probably wuld have raised them at Maraha and this other person she'd brought with her, but she didn't so all she could do was rather disconcertingly stare at them with her bright green eyes. She didn't even have eyelids, which further compacted the 'look' she was giving them. However the spirit Net seemed to have gotten the one so eager to fight under control pretty quickly.

Kheesth turned her reptilian eyes instead upon Triste, who seemed far less eager to fight than his companion.

"So, are you as determined as your friend to fight us?"

She asked, her voice dripping with unmistakable menace.

An absolutely exhausted Genkaku almost collapsed on top of coolpikaaa as he exitted the hideout, he smelled strongly of sweat, burning fur and vomit (in other words, he only smelt a little worse than the average slave).

"Citadel... Explosion... Friends hurt... Help them..."

Was all he managed before throwing up an obscene amount of blood, indicating that his external injuries were nothing compared to what he was suffering from internally. Fortunately for coolpikaaa, the Gei'ei had the decency to avoid spewing up all over him. Unfortunately, somebody was going to have to drag Genkaku away from the door, because he promptly lost consciousness and collapsed into the disgusting mess he'd just made.

Danikat heard the commotion in the doorway as CP rushed out and for lack of anything better to do went to investigate. What she saw almost made her loose her lunch.

"Danielle! We need your help, now!"

Danielle skated over to examine Genkaku, showing far more composure than Danikat. ((She likes to think it comes from living in a "real" world where you see this sort of thing all the time.)) She knelt down next to him and gently examined his wounds. Then she got out her healers kit and got to work. Whilst the kit still worked by magic it was slower than one of her own spells, but she wanted to save her energy and the faster enchantments for the battle where time would be of the essence. "I should be able to fix most of this, but he's taken a pretty good beating and won't be 100% for a few days." ((But he should be able to talk in a post or two.))

Danikat stood to one side, letting her friend 'do her thing' and turned her attention instead to her own speciality. "Arian?" She called out telepathically.
"What is it?" The armadillo replied.
"We heard two shots being fired. Where did they come from and what were they being fired at?"
"Where they came from I can't tell you, it seems there are a lot of unknowns emerging for this battle, it seems both sides are pulling out all the stops to get an advantage. But they were being fired at the EC's mobile base, on a mountain behind the Dome."
"Oh I see," Danikat responded, her voice deceptively calm, "And when exactly were you going to bring this mobile base to my attention?"
"When I had sufficent information, or it became essential knowledge of course," Arian replied in a tone that said Danikat should have known that already, "At present the only EC member we know is there is Fort, and we don't know what kind of equipment it has. Scout teams are working on it of course."
"Alright," Danikat concieded, "Well, keep me posted on anything else that happens, either there or at the Citadel or anywhere else the EC have been sighted. They're going to try and hit us hard and I want to be ready."

He'd had enough. Not only was he unable to do much in his comfortable armchair, he'd just got news from a passing grunt that the Rebels had been found.

"Darn" Cloud shouted, taking another sip of his brandy.

He was unsure what to do when another wave of grunts passed him, one knocking the TV over. As it hit the floor, it crunched under the feet of more grunts, damaging it beyond repair.

"Freedom!" he exclaimed just as he stood up and raised his arms in a fashion that would generally be linked to someone winning some great cash prize.

Stretching, Cloud scurried off to his room to change. It was strange that he hadn't seen a single Council Member in the cave.

Inside his room, Cloud pushed a button underneath his desk that revealed a safe on the other side of the room. He turned the dial until the safe clicked open to show a lever, which Cloud momentarily pulled. The walls of his room started to shake, the one opposite the door moved aside to show yet more secrets. He pulled his sword off the shelf that had been uncovered, as well as a few daggers. Just as Cloud stepped away from the shelf, the whole room gave a final shudder making everything click back into place. It looked just like it did when he first came in. Satisfied, Cloud walked off to the cave's entrance only to be waylaid by a voice that crackled over the intercom: "Warp link stabilised"

That meant only one thing, someone had found the Rebels and they wanted all EC members to join in on the fun. Cloud ran off down the corridors of the cave. Ten minutes later he was standing in the EC Mobile HQ with a mischievous grin on his face.

...Danielle, is it just me or is he rather un-crispy for someone who was supposedly in the Citadel explosion? I smell a trap. Is there anything in that medicinal thingamijigger of yours that can tell if someone's meddled with his mind? If it is a trap, I want to know who he is, where he came from and why he's here. Whether he likes it or not.

HollowEyes was set to follow after Cloud through the warp portal, intending to join the Headmaster now that he'd arranged a few things. However, instead of getting pulled through the mystical gateway and into the frozen wasteland where the rebels were hiding out he smacked into a wall.

"What is the meaning of this?! I thought that you said that this portal was stabilised?" He was more irritated than outraged, as he didn't really care that he'd looked like a bit of an idiot for walking into a solid closed warp portal, it was more important to find out what had happened just now. "It was sir, until just a moment ago... Ah, it's back up again, please go through sir." HollowEyes stepped back and shook his head. "Not a chance, not until you can explain to me what just happened." All grunts present began to scramble about the room frantically, examining the various bits of equipment that they hoped would tell them why their warp portal was on the fritz. In other words, HollowEyes thought, nobody here has any idea why this is happening. "Forget it, just send Cornelius through and we'll see if he makes it."

A terrified Cornelius was quickly escorted to the warp portal and thrown in. In a sudden flash, the portal sealed itself again, and Cornelius' legs and lower torso fell to the ground, severed from his upper body. No doubt the rest of him was currently bleeding to death in the snow, assuming that he even made it there. "Somebody's forcing the warp portal closed sir. Whatever they're using to do it doesn't seem to be Psycotopian technology as it can't seem to keep up with our portal's energy output, it can't keep us shut out forever, but..."

"But you haven't had enough experience with DP's technology. I get the picture." HollowEyes was not at all impressed with the grunts here, but now he had to figure out an alternative way to get to the scene of the battle. "No sir, it's not that simp-" "I don't care for explainations, advise the rest of the Council to avoid using the warp portal, we can't guarantee it's stability. I believe that EnD should be able to sort out some alternative transport." HollowEyes stalked off out of the room, several grunts scampering after him. "But sir, what will you be-" "I will go on ahead and ensure that the rest of the Council has an easy entry." Caton joined the Second-in-Command as he left the Cave, the grunts took this as a signal to leave, and they quickly returned to the darkness to let the other EC members know what HollowEyes had just said.

"Things not go well, boss?" Caton inquired, not seeming very interested. It was no secret to HollowEyes that his minion did not approve of what the Council was doing to Blackstar, but Caton had sworn to serve HollowEyes for the rest of his undeath, and a difference of opinion was not going to change that anytime soon. "No, they did not." The pair continued in silence as they approached the volcano, coming to a stop at it's base. Caton did not need to be commanded, he could already guess what his master wished for him to do. "Any preference, boss?" "Whatever's easiest Caton, you're going to need to maintain control over as much lava as possible over quite a long distance." "Hm... That not be easy..."

The nekomata concentrated hard, focusing his attention on the magma within the volcano. The Ruby Dagger glowed a brilliant red as an enormous amount of lava spilled over the edge, though there was no tremor to announce it's appearance. Pouring down the rocky slopes, the lava quickly took shape as it built up speed, rushing towards HollowEyes and Caton. They both leapt up, HollowEyes sticking a pair of beetle charms to his feet, and the lava swept up beneath them, lifting them off the ground. "A snake?" HollowEyes questioned, looking at the long stream of lava trailing behind them. "Not your favourite, but easy for me." Caton replied, trying to maintain focus. This would be quite a long flight, he would most likely be spent once they touched down, assuming that they managed to get all the way to the base.

Although not yet visable from the frozen tundras in which the rebel base was located (partially thanks to the air being so thick with hail and snow), the glowing red snake weaved it's way across the sky as if it were trying to move stealthily, though really, just about anybody below would be able to see it.
