Grinning, he carries on.

"I told her my breif history, while leaving out certain subjects of certain choice, and I learnt hers in turn. She was born into the faith and has always lived there. When I had finished the slice of cake and heard what she had to say, she directed me to the dining room where she asked the many cooks if they could prepare me something. Prefferably covered in gravy.

I believe that their views were "Be a house for a homeless man, and in turn you shall be homed." Something like that... I don't know, but it was a pretty nice place.

I stayed there for a few weeks, maybe a month or two, I don't know the exact date, everythings I bit funny after I took that hit..."

He winces slightly and fidgets in his seat.

"Well... Like I said, I don't know...

The only thing I can remember I was older then, probably... Twenty... Twenty two max... I always thought that the views of the faith would make them seem an easy target, it did.

Someone from a castle nearby thought he might take the land that they are living on, he tried to buy it from them. The didn't want to move, they liked it where they were, so he sent in his troops.

It took them a week to get from the castle to the village. Everyone from the faith refused to move. They also refused to fight, not a good combination. Most of the residents of the village agreed to fight though.

The soldiers didn't do the smart thing and come at night, they came just after lunch which was pretty good for me. I stayed in the faith's building and started hoarding all the people into safe rooms that were thick and relatively fire-proof.

Didn't work very well though...."

A deep sigh escapes him as he slumps in his seat slightly.

She nodded her head. "If it's... too painful or anything to continue, then please don't," she told him, feeling a bit worried. She knew that she was a bit nosy, and after a few past times of it causing a lot of trouble, she's learned how to be more cautious.

"Haha, no, it's fine. It isn't painfull, just slightly awkward.

It didn't take the soldiers long to break through though, only roughly fifteen minutes. The villagers couldn't put up much of a fight, they were farmers, not fighters. They did manage to take a few of the soldiers though, which was good.

I got all the people to a safe place before the soldiers burst into the castle. I was a floor above. I knew all the best places to hide from playing with the small children in the faith, hide and seek always showed another spot to hide. I hid in the ceiling and listened to them giving orders.

They decided to split up and search for the members of the faith, which is exactly what I wanted since it gave me an oppertunity to kill them all one by one.

Well... I moved on once more, up a level this time and hid in a small shaft used to push warm air and smells coming from the kitchen up and around the house. I'll spare you the gruesome details, but I'll tell you that the first person I say ended up dead, so I took his sword and moved on to finish the rest."

"There were roughly... Sixty to eighty soldiers. There were about a hundred or so just to take the little village, the king decided that he wouldn't send many because nothing could harm them.

I managed to take out maybe... Nine, ten maybe before I ran into the commander... Heh heh... He hits hard... He was wearing a strange suit of armour... It was all spikey. Anyways, he must have been specially trained because he heard me coming, we had a small skirmish before he broke the sword I had and hit me over the head with a club."

Seph frowns slightly.

"Everything went black, and I can't remember anything about that... I'd have to skip forward a long period of history because most of it was just me wandering after that..."

She frowned, not liking the way her thoughts were going. He didn't exactly say how that battle had ended, and she had her guesses of how it did, but she had no want of them confirmed.

"And then you finally decided to end your wandering...?"

"Not really. I was most likely to remain out of trouble if I stayed alone and kept moving on from place to place. I came to the Corrupted Cave not a long while ago. A year or two. In that time I'd finally met an angel who says she's been assigned to "making sure I stay out of trouble." Never works though..."

He rests in his cushion, having cut his history quite short in one go. He didn't want to bore her though.

"Aaaand... After that I joined Blackstar, and all in one day... I gained two heart-sisters, Embri and Angel. Blooded someone into a vampire, Angel, and almost killed Embri... Fun day..."

Looks up at the ceiling as if thinking before sighing.

"Corrupted Cave... are you an EC member? And by angel, you mean Shirlea correct?"

At the mention of his two blood sisters, she fell silent. Embri she know a little of... but she had no idea who this Angel was.

"I can imagine.." she commented wryly. "How did all of that come about?" she asked him, referring to his obviously eventful day.

"No, not Shirlea, Angel. Her name is Angel. She's.... complicated."

Thinks for some while.

"I've known her for a while, I'm quite good friends with her. I turned her into a vampire to save her actually.... Well, I was the one who caused her need to be saved anyhow..."

"Oh.. I meant you guardian angel's name is Shirlea," she amended as an attempt to stop the confusion.. even though she was feeling slightly confused herself.

"At least you tried to fix the problem..." she trailed off in response to his second explanation.

"Yes, with a very crude solution. My extended life hasn't been good to me, it might not be good to her."

He leans forward and puts his elbow on the arm of the chair, holding his head in his hand.

"That's my... Rather short history then..."

She fell silent again before recalling her plans to ask about his daughter.

"How old is she? Your daughter I mean."

"Erm... She's.... Two if I put it in easy terms..."

More footsteps from upstairs, it sounded like she was coming downstairs for something.

"Yep... She's coming downstairs, probably trying to find me... Shirlea is away today so I'm afraid I'm going to have to play "Close parent" today."
