The Re-arranging of Blackstar

I think the Olympics should stay, but put them near the bottom, since it is a pretty big section that isn't used much.

*Gasp* No, leave the Olympic Stadiums alone. They have some of the best examles of peoples RPing skills, as that what it was there for them to prove.

I have... mixed feelings about this. I like the boards as they are, but I can understand people getting confused.... :S

I think that what Net's come up with is a *very* good idea. We keep our individuality as a forum while gaining organisation.

Therefore we're all happy as far as I can see.

Net has a pretty good idea going on, at least in concept. I might disagree about some of the little piddly re-arrangements, but it makes the site easier to look at for newbies and also keeps our unique-ness.

I put my vote toward something like what Net proposed.

Second (or third, or fourth) the motion, or propose a new one.

I can definitely sympathize with the new people coming here and getting confuzed. I was one of those. Personnally I really don't like the organization/layout of the forums on Blackstar. What Net said: the RP boards are mixed in with the non-RP ones. I don't like that.

The whole idea of Blackstar being a world is just fine. And that wouldn't have to change at all even if we re-arranged the boards. We can keep the place names and everything. But I think it would be very nice to have all the RP forums in one lump and all the others elsewhere so they don't get confuzed.

I think we should have one big section (or several smaller sections; that's ok too) devoted solely to RP boards. These can still keep their location names and can even be organized by location.

Then we can have a different section devoted to non-RP boards. Suggestions, welcomes, FAQ's, announcements, disscusions, non-RP chat, etc. I see no reason that non-RP boards need a location in the Blackstar world.

Even if the non-RP boards keep their location in the world, I would like them seperated on the site. That's just me.

This is all just my opinion. I don't mean to be confrontational to all the Dojodians who wish to keep the site layout the way it is. I'm just writing what I would like to see and adding my suggestion to the mix.

I agree with Net.

Another random idea I would come up with would be to divide each section into RP and non-RP boards.

But that's just an idea.

Netdroid 9's plan is a more succint method to combat confusion - such implementation would be advisable. However, it does not wholly address the base issue of confusion amongst our newest members. Where do we place the Training Dojo?

Places where Fiction (the story, the role-play, the evolution of the game) collides and comingles with Fact (the conversation, the story, the news article) need to be classified. Where do they go?
