These characters could use a bit of... excitement.

Maraha

Zothar and Shadox have never been used... I'd love to use them in combat. I'm not new to RPing at all, as I'm sure you all know...

But I've never trained... :P

I don't know what I want to train in, exactly... Just general training, perhaps? And as for the trainer I want... I dunno, first come first serve, I guess. The trainer may choose wether I shall use Zothar or Shadox, I guess.

How 'bout just a general battle, and we can point out any flaws we see in each other's posts? This way, we'll be learning while training.

As for which character, it doesn't matter to me. Pick which one is you like best at the moment, but be sure to send me a linky to it's character profile if it has one....

Oooo, sounds like fun! Hmm, maybe instead of using Shadox or Zothar I'll use Triste, he hasn't been used much and I'd really like to get to 'know' him, you know? The link to all my characters is in my sig, BTW. I forgot that I removed it, heh.

So... we should probably choose a setting, hmm? I was thinking of perhaps Insanity City, the main world in the Realm of Insanity.

It's a sort-of old londonish world, it's always night, and right in the center is a large Clocktower. Heh, think of Lumina from The Legend of Mana. There are several moons, most of them oddly shaped and are a color that one would normally see in the Northern Lights.

I could try elaborating a bit more, or the battle could take place in a forest or something, I don't care much.

Well, Insanity City kind of has Lumina's purpleish 'glow'.

This isn't a good picture, but it's the best Google could fetch for me. :P Insanity City has that glow. The Clocktower is called the Creative Clocktower, and is surrounded by a thick fog at the base. If one is walking through the fog and doesn't watch their step, they could fall into a bottomless pit.

I was thinking maybe it could take place in an abandoned mansion or a graveyard or something, there's a lovely Graveyard east of the Creative Clocktower, and just south of there is a nice old Mansion. ;D

I think a huge spooky Graveyard would be a good setting. :P

There was an eerie ambience to the area, the cawing of crows and the strange sounds coming from deeper within the forest, the fact that the Moon was barely visible through the tree branches didn't make the place any cozier.

Triste stepped slowly and carefully through the forest, dodging twitching trees and rodents of unusual size, he eventually stumbled (quite literally) upon a Graveyard. 'Pfft, how funny, a vampire in a graveyard, what next?' He thought while stepping between the old, cracked tombstones. 'I wonder who these people were, their personality, their life... Death is such a strange and awful thing, lucky for these people they don't have to LIVE it.'

Nynaeve shuddered from where she was standing- in between two rather elaborate tombstones. Her midnight blue cloak, not yet activated, fluttered slightly in the night breeze.

She did not like this arena setting very much.

Of coruse, it had a certain dark appeal to it... but... it... was just creepy. To her at least.

Her usual clothing, a tunic and legging made from shredded dragon skin, provided a bit of warmth, but she still wrapped her cloak tighter around herself.

She felt more or less reassured by the knowledge that she was well prepared for the fight with her two Uchiwa Akki's tucked neatly into her belt and the two enchanted daggers tucked into her sleeve. Her bow and arrows had been left at home for this setting with its low lighting made those wapons useless. Who could shoot something they could not see?

Eve frowned when she finally spotted what she assumed would be her opponent. Not one to honourless and launch an unfair surprise attack, she called out, "Greetings!" before waiting for the other person's reaction.

Trist paused and looked up at what he made out to be his opponent. "Ah, greetings to you to. It's a fine night for a small sparring session, isn't it?" His words cut through the eerie silence like a sharp dagger. He approached Eve cautiously, and once he was only a few yards away he bowed slightly. "We should begin soon, ladies first."

She grinned. "A gentleman eh? You rarely see those nowadays," she commented wryly before drawing her two Uchiwa Akki's from her belt, fanning them out in front of her.

"I'm not one to displease..." she told him with a hint of an impish smile before lunging in to take two quick, diagonal slashes from hip upwards.

Inwardly, she almost cringed at the "pathetic" first attack... but rationalized with herself that it was merely to guage his speed and response time.

That first attack surprised him, he just barely managed to jump back and out of the way before he was cut up. He didn't bother wasting his time or energy speaking, he just drew his Silver Stake from his coat pocket, the end of the stake was dagger-like and thus could be used like one.

When he lunged at Eve in an attempt to slice her arm or shoulder he had to watch his step - there were large twigs and chunks of stone and rock - he seemed to concentrate more on his footing than actually fighting.
