The Vampire and Unicorn Pub and Inn

In Dojopolis, there is an odd building only a small walk from the main hub of the city itself.

It seemed to have randomly sprung up overnight, as is the way in Psychotopia, but this one was slightly odder than the other buildings around it.

It lay outwards along a grassy walk. It rose up out of the small lake it was sitting inside and towered above the other buildings. The only way you could reach it was either by boat or by passing down the small walk towards it. It was a castle, and an old looking castle at that.

The next day, the torches outside were lit and the way into the pub seemed welcome, the only thing that stopped that is that the door was locked. The third day, both lights outside and inside were lit. The inside was of an old English design, it looked like an old pub. The bar had stools were people would sit and drink, while there were stairs going upwards to rooms. There were tables where people would eat ordered food and whatever else they ordered from the bar.

It was furnished with gold, brown and red furniture. Deep, wooden chairs and tables were set around the main pub room. There was everything that someone could want in a modern pub too, Snooker table, Jukebox and other such items.

The only two people seen in the pub at the moment though, was a tall, black-clad vampire, and a warm, gentle unicorn, and they were both rushing about, preparing for guests.


~ This is an idea that has been stewing around in my head from a different RP site, but I wanted to do it here instead of there and see how it goes. For those of you who didnt read the description, two words. - PUB = DRINKS. We are OPEN! ~

Gin and Tonic - - 25

Golden Dragon Brew - - 10

Stimulated Ducks - - 100 , Used for those who wish to sober up, for some drinks it may take more than one.

[Danikat]

*Danikat was wandering through Dojopolis on her way to the market place, although she appeared to have gotten lost. This was not an unusual event in the Dojo, run as it was by the God of Insanity it was not unheard of for streets to quietly rearrange themselves and Danikat was not overly concerned, she would get to her destination eventually*

*Suddenly she turned a corner and found herself confronted with a building she was certian she had never seen before and one that managed to look out of place even amonst the haphazard arcitecture of Dojopolis. It looked, she thought to herself, like a castle*

Danikat: Whats a castle doing in the middle of the city?
Arian: Not a lot apparently. Its been there for a few days and nothing has happened.
Danikat: Hmmmm.....

*Danikat walked slowly around the castle, examining it from every side, and eventually stopped at the end of the walkway across the moat. Cautiously she crossed the moat, almost waiting for something to attack her, but she reached the door unharmed*

*Glancing up at the castle looming above her she shrugged and tried the door....locked. her curiosity mounting she knocked*

*A knock at the door stirred the vampire from his sleep, he opened his eyes and groggily stood up. He wasnt going to open the doors yet, they still hadnt gotten all the food inside, but the ale was good, so he supposed he could carry some orders.

He opened the latch from the bar and walked towards the door, weaving inbetween the red and gold furniture. He reached the large castle door and shouted to move back before opening it, the door swung out a large way. The vampire stuck his head out, and blew a long strand of emerald coloured hair from his face.*

Hullo there! Welcome to the Vampire and Unicorn Pub and Inn! We are not... fully stocked yet, we are still cooking the food, but the ale is fine.

*The vampire examined her from head to foot quickly before swinging the door open for her.*

Please come in.

[Angel]

*Angel had heard about the place and felt like checking it out, it being run by two of her close companions. She had dispensed with the rather inadequate map Zed had drawn (with charcoal of all things) and taken to the air a good ten minutes ago. She's now circling the castle, looking to land on the bridge.

She lowers herself gently and pads in her usual silent way to the door,*

Evening, *she grins* Is my Sire in?

[Sephirothsicase]

*Vorodorer smiles as the first newcomer enters. He smiles even more when he sets eyes on a familiar face.*

Ah! Angel! Yes, he is, he's in the back cooking at the moment. Feel free to go in and talk to him.

[Danikat]

*Danikat smiled at the suprisingly warm welcome and when the door is opened fully steps inside*

Danikat: Thank you. This looks like a very nice place you've got here.

*She looks around at the decor before turning back to the vampire at the door*

Danikat: Did I hear you mention something about ale?

[Sephirothsicase]

*Vor nods at Dani as both of them walk in.*

Yus... We've got.... Whiskey and all those strong drinks, but if you want a nice Ale, then we've got the V&U Beer and the V&U Mead. Both of them brewed in this very building. The beer has a slightly good kick to it though, so watch out. Would you like some?

[Swix]

A human woman named Karen walked through the streets of Dojopolis. She hadn't arrived in Blackstar all that long ago and she was still learning her way around. This particular human had long silky black hair held back with a material headband, and black clothing. Her hands, wrapped in studded, fingerless leather gloves clutched an old looking book close to her side. Her feet hardly made a sound on the ground as leather boots cushioned her footfalls.

Karen looked up at the Vampire and Unicorn Pub and Inn and frowned. She might not have been here all that long but she certain a building like this hadn't been here before. 'Oh well' Karen thought as she changed direction and headed towards the doors 'I may as well go and have a look'

As she entered a ittle nervously and noticed the unicorn, a sort of angel creature and a cat/bat woman already there a wide grin spread across her face.

Karen though didn't want to barge in so she knocked on the door instead before calling out.

"Um, excuse me. Are you open yet? If not I'll come back later"

[Angel]

*Angel thanks Vor quietly and slips through the door to the kitchen. the air is hot and pleasantly steamy, with smells drifting up from varyous pots and ovens. She lifts the lid of something that looks rather like korma curry*

Seph? you back here? something smells great. *something looking suspiciously like an eye bobs to the surface and she puts the lid back carefully*

Vor turns and looks out the door, he spots the human and waves a hello.

"No no! We are all open! Free booze and food for a few weeks as the opening season starts! Come on in!"

Seph turned from the pot he was stirring before noticing Angel. He smiles at her and raises a hand in a greeting.
"Don't mind that, that isnt an eye it's a cleaning ball. It releases the powder as the pot boils, nifty invention."
He goes back to the pot and tastes a small tablespoon before adding a pinch of salt.
"I'm cooking a roast dinner, pork, lamb or beef. It comes with potatoes, carrots, broccoli and lots of gravy, want any?"

[Angel]

*she looks doubtful then comes over and peeks into the ovens*

no, thank you for the offer but I just fed. What's this?

*she picks up an expensive looking bottle with a purple label and tries to read the runes, but they run away from her eyes, hiding on he other side of the label. She laughs softly and puts it back down, turns away, then turns back quickly. the runes are surprised and she reads "Tamworth rice oil"*

you can make oil from rice? wait.. Tamworth? they grow rice there?

*she laughs softly and looks over his shoulder into the pots of vegtables*

Seph raises an eyebrow.

"I have no idea what that is, maybe Vorodorer brought it in when I told him to get ingredients for the opening week."

[Swix]

Karen walks in more boldly now it had been confirmed she wasn't interrupting anything and took a seat at the bar. She couldn't believe her luck, any place that gave free food and booze even for a few weeks was perfectly fine by her. The old lookig book was very carefully put on the table and slid to the side of her, as she wanted to keep an eye on it.

"So, what kinds of drinks do you have then? I'm not exactly familiar with this... place, but I'm willing to try anything interesting"

[TiChei]

He wasn't quite sure what he was doing, or even where he was, for that matter he didn't even have a proper name. In his mind it would've been perhaps better to stay in seclusion. It had been a few hours since he had entered the streets and even walking back the way he came he couldn't remember seeing anything of note. That is until he turned a corner and was quite sure that the castle looking building in front of him was out of place from all he had seen.

But he could clearly see it was a pub, he looked at his worn feet, they could use a rest. So he quickly padded his way down the walk way to the door, pushing it open hesitantly, this was his first time entering a social area in over a decade after all.

"H-hello? I was just wondering if it might be possible to rest here for awhile? I don't have any money to buy things though..."

[Sephirothsicase]

Vorodorer quickly pours Karen a small glass of Mulled Mead from a bottle. He places this infront of her and smiles.

"Try that, you might like it."
