A Group of adventurers stands before DP. DP would have prefered these people to be one's he had hand chosen. Unfortunately, they were out sick. In fact, everyone was out sick. Ninety-five percent of the population has contracted a mysterious illness that never killed you, but you never recovered from. So you sat in bed with what had been deemed the "Endless Flu".

DP had used his clone trick to create clones of himself to look after his citizens and perform all the functions of the Dojo to prevent economic collapse until these adventurers had completed their quest.

What was that quest? Well, a group of his more brilliant clones had been studying the EF, and determined that it was brought here during one of the many invasions of the Dojo. This groups job was to go through each landing sight for each invasion, and analyze it for traces of the EF. Only with a sample taken from the landing sight could a cure be synthesized. So DP desperately wished he could have his hand picked team.

But in true Dojodian fashion, he was left with who ever came.

DP looked up, almost exhausted looking, at the group.

"I know you may not be the best out there, but you are all we've got. You...you need to go to both Concordat landing sights, the borg sights, and the Corporate offices...

takes samples, and warp them to...my lab...for analysis..."

DP then went to sleep. Even for a God, it was near impossible to run do an entire country's work for long.

The adventurers took this as their cue, and set off in search of the Endless Flu

((Well, there you are. You are part of the group searching for the most potent strain of the Endless Flu. And DP's acting like some old man. Have at it. DP won't be joining the party, because my schedule won't like it. But if one of you would be so kind when you get a sample to PM me, I'll make a post from the lab stating the results fo the test.))

((I'm a little confused about this RP - since it incorporates both of the Concordat invasions does this mean that it's set in the future?))

KC11 looked about the area. She was now no longer the teenage girl who made random comments. No. She was now the full grown woman (or female dragon) who made very random comments.

She was an expert in DNA lab testing, which she hoped would be helpful in finding out more about this EF.

"Poor people..." she said to herself. She thought of all the people who had to live with EF, not going outside to play for fear of spreading the desiese.

She groaned. Elsra, her best friend, had contracted EF a few days ago. If KC didn't find a cure to this, she would never see her best friend again.

"At the very least most of your sisters are still intact." she thought, but even so she hung her head. Her sisters, going from KC4 to KC9, had each contracted the EF. A few of her brothers had also gotten it. Her mother was even starting to show a few warning signs.

"I have to find out more." she said, before turning into a dragon and taking off.

((Interesting name. Rolling Eyes ))

In a forest nearby where DP had adressed his adventure crew, there grew a massive plant-the plant called the Morbuzak.

For a plant, it was quite attentive to news and such-it had heard of the epidemic called the Endless Flu, or EF. However, it was not worried, seeing as it was not a plant disease.

Currently, it was thinking about EF while lying stretched out on the ground, the shorter vines behind its "head" folded back. The other vines were stretched out in other directions, wrapping around various objects while it slept.

The desert had become a kind of second home to coolpikaaa.Looking up at the clear sky,he knew it was going to be another hot one.Sand swirled around and it suddenly hit him why he hadn't become sick like the others.Maybe the desert heat was something they didn't like?

Coolpikaaa was going to have to check this out.

((Pardon my rusty style, it's been awhile... ^^; ))

The azure feline cocked her head from side to side like a small puppy inspecting a new sound, smell, or annoying insect. She then scratched the back of neck with a skeleton-like metal arm.

"Well, K-"

As soon as she was going to address the creature named KC11, she took off.

"Damn." The shapeshifter muttered, turning back to stare at the sleeping God. She didn't even know that deities could become exhausted... She pressed her spectacles farther up her nose.

Most of her fellow combat-buddies had fell sick with the Endless Flu. Kiri, Neko, Vatican, Wires...

Most.

The massive Time Dragon may be sick, but her son wasn't.

"Um, okay," Panther addressed the rest of the group hesitantly. It'd been a long time since she'd spoken to some of them... "There is a friend of mine who can give up more firepower if needed. He lives near two of the Concordat landing sites, so it's a triple win if someone wants to go with me."

She plastered on her best happy grin; which turned out to look more like the I'm-going-to-murder-you-with-a-chainsaw grin that the Evil Council was known for.

"Anyone?"

Nynaeve's fingers twitched to ease the god's symptoms- at least temporarily- but she knew that it would be no use.

How did she know this? From her many attempts on the poor children at the Academy. Her skill with healing removed the flu-like side effects for a mere day or two, and then they came back in full force. If it had not been for DP's clones to the rescue, she would still be there. It was only after the clones appearance that she reluctantly left with a fierce determination to help find a cure in full force. Quite possibly, whatever caused the flu might mutate and bring more chaos upon Blackstar.

She could not have that happen.

At least, thought she had no idea how, she was not sick herself. It seemed as if her healing abilities tied into her- for now- immunity, and she hoped it would last.

"Anyone?"

Panther's grin made her want to reconsider her next words, but she kept a calm face and allowed a small smile to appear.

"I'll go."

((This thread is going to be uber. Oh, count me in, please!))

The Black Forest was moving. It appeared to lurch and distend along a single path. Then, before this swollen mound of trees could reach the forest's edge, it sunk back into the ground. Ensichrys burst out of the trees, moving at a swift jog. The Guivre, the first living thing he had ever met upon entering Blackstar years ago, had fallen ill. The Endless Flu now gripped the serpent in its vile clutches. Life would be eternally miserable for the Guivre unless Ensichrys could find the cure that DP's clones said could be made. As he was searching for something that had not come from Blackstar originally, Ensichrys tripped and rolled forward several times before stopping on his back. Jumping up, he dusted his feathers of vigorously to get them clean and beautiful again.

Some things never change.

Looking back at the source of his blunder, he found that it was a rather thick tripwire of sorts. But what had it triggered? Ensichrys soon wished he hadn't asked as five Goo archers jumped out of the bushes. Yes, those detestable blobs from the last-forever gardens still had a few stragglers left from their initial invasion.

Is it possible that the flu actually came from... no time!

Ensichrys deployed his shock shield as four arrows hit the electric barrier and disintegrated. One made it through. Yelping in pain, Ensichrys fired a stream at the blob that had fired the arrow. Killing him, he saw a few more erupt from the nearby shrubs.

"Provided that you stop grinning like form of serial killer, I'll come."

TripleSix replied to Panther. In apperance, she had not aged a month, for how can a shadow age? Mentally, however, the shadow demoness had gained much expirence and learnt a fair bit.

Her black body was in the current shape of a anthroth lioness, wth flred jeans and a tight sleevless top, both black of corse. Her feet remained bare with large claws that were at presen retracted, and her tail was curled slightly around one leg.

"When do we go?"

((Seeing as this takes place in the future, I'll play along. Oh, and just for RP purposes, lets just say that Leporidae has the EF))

Offa was lucky enough not to have contacted the Endless Flu. He mostly stayed alone, with the exception of plants, insects, and the small critters that inhabit the Dojo. He hadn't heard of it until about most of the dojo caught it. When the news gotten around to him, he felt it was in his best intrest to make a diffrence and join up.

It was a long trip to make, but he eventually made it. He worried that his garden would be destroyed and die out before he got back (If he ever dose) but that dosn't stop him. The door opens up a little bit and a exausted half-goblin enters. "Excuse me . . . dose anyone . . . need any help?"

((This looks interesting... and I can play about with the switcher a bit too Razz))

There was another present here. The Guardian member and werewolf named Tala had stood and listened to the god before he had fallen asleep. That worried her, and so did this 'Endless Flu'. Because she'd never worried about any disease, she'd never come across one that could cope with her own innate healing ability. Yet here was one, come to the Dojo. If she caught it, she may well end up just like the others, although the onset may well be slower. Tala wasn't sure, and she wasn't keen to find out either. For all she knew, she and those with healing abilities may well be ferrying it around without their knowledge.

She'd come after the clones had been sent, as since she'd been one of very few at the Citadel still healthy she'd been trying to take care of them. It was a good job her pack instinct was well developed, or the more ferocious part of the wolf may well have pushed her into leaving them for being weaklings. But this thing wasn't ordinary, so that would have been foolish in itself.

The werewolf scratched the back of her head as the shapeshifting dragon took off, hoping that Sallah would be okay by herself. Being an empathic creature and being around so many sick must be hard on the little fire-lizard, but Tala had come to help here because there would be so few to help as it was.

"Uh, exactly how many locations has Blackstar been invaded from? Maybe some groups should be formed so we don't miss anywhere?"

Ensichrys obliterated the other four archers utilizing many ducking and weaving maneuvers. The remaining goos began to chuckle in unison and turned all goopy and nasty. The blobs melded together and formed a large goo monster with a massive macelike weapon. Ensichrys evaluated the situation and realized he had no time to charge up a blast powerful enough to destroy this goo.

Only one hope remained.

"Last words," the goo monster gurgled out scornfully. Ensichrys nodded.

"Let the stars of its dawn be dark! Let it hope for light but have none! And may trouble be hidden from my eyes by the one.

The Hellflower!"

With those final words, an explosion of sod ensued. Sixteen roots erupted from the ground and wrapped tightly around the goo monster. Muffled gurgles could be heard as Mortracta strangled the blob. How much she had grown since Ensichrys had first met her. Each root must have been 30 feet in length now. Unfortunately, she had to go after bigger prey, which was surprisingly scarce in the Black Forest where she lived.

One could almost have shed a tear for the blob as it was dragged down underground by the creature that had come to be known as the Hellflower. Resurfacing, Mortracta revealed that the main plant where she collected sunlight had not grown at all. It even may have been slightly more wilted. Yes, Mortracta was in very real danger of dying from unhappiness.

Ensichrys turned around slowly as Mortracta retreated to the depths behind him, just as slowly. Ensichrys enjoyed being dramatic. But now, he had to get back to an old monument to investigate the Endless Flu.

It was a dilapidated old ruin of rotted wood that had once been a tall mill. Ensichrys now jogged again toward the Ancient Mill.

((Sorry for the long posts, but I needed a dramatic introduction for each of them.))

((Hey, the forum deleted my post! Evil or Very Mad))

The Morbuzak awoke. The first thing it noticed was the fact it was hungry.

Considering the situation, it decided to head for the Black Forest-something told it to head there, anyway.

It burrowed into the ground, and where it once grew, there was only upturned dirt.

Panther let the unsettling grin fall from her face. She shrugged, adjusting her glasses slightly. "Whenever you're ready. I can carry one person with me, provided they aren't too heavy."

The shapeshifter stared at the tired half-goblin for a moment before responding. "Of course, we can always use another pair of hands on board."

"I'm not exactly sure..." She said to Tala, scratching her feline head. "Six? Seven? I only know of the Concordat landings and the Corporate offices." She shrugged. "Sorry."
