Hey All

I've only been creatures RP-ing for about a half a year, so I'm newish at the literary style of online RP games, but I've done real life RP-ing on and off for years. You know, characters with stats, and twenty siders, led by a game master (like D & D, but I never played D & D, mostly EPT if you know it .)

Much of my real life work involves writing, so this brings together several of my interests. I expect to get the hang of this higher level place soon enough and look forward to many a bizarre adventure. My main pair of characters are loosely based on some old game characters, modifed to fit some of the first RPG games I got into over on A2K and Gameware, then "improved" beyond reason as folks kept bringing in mega god demon types that no one had any chance at unless they played at that ubber-level. I may develop some new characters as I see what gaming is like here.

I always play "good", there is enough real evil in the world, I like my imaginary worlds to have the hope that some one is at least trying to stop it...

LIKES: good creative writing, humor, Turtle Lattes with whipped creme, skillful adversaries, responsive companions/adversaries, bratwursts with onions and peppers, making monsters go "splat" throwing lots of goo all over everybody. Group developed storylines (or at least influenced by the characters' actions.)


DISLIKES: gamers who simply ignore my attacks/spells, folks who write too much to explain their particular worldview/mythos base and then ignore the fact that each of us brings our own to the game. "Best friends" who dominate a game/story line. Games that die out for lack of interest with no plot resolution (AAaaacccgggkkk, thats a real pet peeve, I need resolution!!!!)

Welcome to the forums Shine. Seems like you and I share similar dislikes, although I've yet to participate in an RP that ever had some kind of ending myself

I don't think you need to worry too much about mega demon god types too much here, as most everyone here seems to be capable of playing fair. If they don't, then DP is mega demon god enough to take care of them .

I fear I may not be in your good list. I am known to write ostensibly long diatribes outside of roleplay to exemplify my philosohical treatieses. It allows me to define my perceptions of the world.

Actually, HisLordShip, yours I've found interesting, so I know that the difference between long boring diatribes and interesting character development lies in the eyes of the beholder, or good writing verses not-so-good-writing, or a familiar character who I am interested in, or other things, and thats all pretty subjective.

That being said,...do you always sit in a tree and just watch, (as in EC vs Gameware)? After you've put that much thought into it, I'm perishing of curiosity to see just what you actually DO about things (and coughing up owl pellets wouldn't count. )

The Gameware oneprogrssed too fast for my schedule to account for. I had plans. Those were shatterd by rapid-fire responses combined with a hefty workload. I intend to return from hibernation to take on the plot in my own way. Until then, of course, I observe. Knowledge is power, is it not? Bacon would not have it any other way. I will focus on my own betterment before leaping headlong into battle. One moment of reason is worth ten of surpirse, after all.
