The Concordat 2

[Mitsukai]

So lost in her grief-filled thoughts was she that she did not notice the metal staring to engulf her slowly as well.

First, the smooth nature flowed over her slender hands, stilling them. A comforting warmth made her feel tingly and aware of reality.

Surprised, she watched as the material continued up her arms and hardened on their way.

What on earth...?

Eve closed her eyes, feeling the tingly warmth all over her body. Opening them, she found herself in what seemed like a different world...

Darkness.

Everywhere except for a soft glowing light, a little ways down.

Feeling as light as a feather, Eve moved towards the glow which seemed to beckon to her.

In the middle of the clearing was a metal statue of a woman and a dragon.

The forest was solemly still...

D looked at Cassie with shock and fear. He had uncloaked himself to take the extra stain off his body. "Are they...dead? I...I just can't belive it. How could that happen so soon? What are we going to do now? We have to continue. All I can say is that there somewhere better now. Still, I want to blame myself for not helping them. There must have been someway to protect them."

D looked up high into the sky and saw the ships disending. They out numbered us greatly. "Anyone have any ideas on what to do now?" D ran over to the tank, jumped into the gunners seat and began firing shots into the sky towards the ships." This may have not been a good idea but it was the only one D had.

"No response from Tetsu or Eve," Cassie sighed, "We have to assume that they didn't survive that fall. No one could."

Ghost scrambled onto the back of the Puma and manned the turret. Her fire assisted CrazyD in keeping the Concordat ships at bay, but it could only last so long.

"There was nothing you could have done. And with our numbers as they are, I don't think there is anything we can do to stop them here," Cassie said to D, "There is a time to fight and a time to run... Now would be a very good time to run."

She reached over and set the radio to broadcast to the entire moon.

"This is Cassandra of the Guardians. The Concordat are stronger than we ever imagined. I am recommending that all Dojodian inhabitants fall back to the Dojo. This moon is lost."

Switching off the radio, she threw the tank into drive. The machine roared foward, and Cassie began searching for a means of getting back to the Dojo. In the field ahead there were many Concordat Dropships landed on the ground. The lack of cover would make them vulnerable to fire from above, but Cassie could see no other option.

"Anyone who can hear me, make for the field at bearing point 0 2 543. We are going to commandeer a Concordat Dropship for our escape. We leave in fifteen minutes."

Cassie put down the radio and pushed the tank foward.

((Excuse me for this, but, if you're going to abandon the place then you're going to have to see something))

As Cassie drove the tank forwards, it would seem that the tank had just entered a large field which the dropships had not yet landed on. However after entering through it, one would see a large building with a green shield about it as wide as the field was. And within this building, and still running towards it were thousands of Creatures. Norns, Ettins and Grendels all working together to get away from the Concordat.

Brock frowned and sighed deeply after hearing Cassie.

"So, I see we're going to have to abandon another home"

He said, then teleported again, ending up inside the shield and looking at the tank with a shocked and curious expression.

That was it, that was what Grarg had been waiting for. The sounds of many, many shots and Concordat fighting back, as well as the announcement. That made her rather angry, which was perfect for the creature she had in mind.

The snake began to change and shift until it grew six long, insect like legs, a long neck with a draconic head, and huge, mantis like pincers from the forefront. The black scaled and red eyed creature grew giantic, and the tattoo became plain to see on Grargs chest.

The now-Drantis Grarg roared in a great fury at the aliens and swept one of her massive 'arms' across the ground.

Syllak grunted and swung back after having taken nothing but pot shots at the aliens with her stolen gun, the golden fire-lizards claws digging into her armour as best they could.

However the draconian missed a plasma blast sent her way, and it caught her wing, burning her scales and filling the air with the scent of melting metal.

Syllak yelled loudly as she plummeted to the ground.

Tala turned around after she'd watched the dragon crash to the ground, and to her horror saw the tank and the others leaving without her.

"Well, if that's the way it's going to be"

She snorted, then fell onto all fours as her bones shifted and changed shape, whilst silvery fur erupted from all around her. Her head morphed and stretched until it became canine, and her eyes changed their colour to bright yellow whilst a tail burst out from the base of her spine.

Growling, Tala picked up the weapon she'd brought with her with her jaws and bounded after the tank.

The white meteor stopped in the air where ships were still making their way down, so abruptly it didn't even appear to have slowed down.

A white glow extended from around the solid part of the meteor slowly, and whilst this happened the solid part changed hue until it became transparent, revealing what looked to be a large white wolf inside. It was sitting on the same sort of glow that was around it, and that was extending from it, except it was solid. It also appeared to be grinning, and it's bright yellow eyes showed more than a few thousand years behind this being.

Sirus and Spike appered near the shielded building and began running towards it. Between them they carried an unconsious figure: Linda.

~Sorry, dad. I had to knock out mum or else I would of never been able to get her to leave.

It was then she heard the broadcast. She didn't stop for it but continued dragging her adopted mum with her.

"Our home...Abandoned? If this is a nightmare then it's a really bad one now."

She said sadly as she got closer and closer to the building that was shielded.

(( Actually, Cassie was driving into a field where dropships had already landed, but whatever, I'd like to speak anyways. ))

Inside the safety of the shield Cassandra addressed the creatures that had gathered.

"Is there anyone here that honestly believes that we can beat those monsters?" she said, climbing out of the tank, "We are outnumbered, outgunned, and basically overpowered. If we make our stand, right here, right now, I'm willing to bet that none of us will ever make it off this moon alive."

"But there is another way. On Blackstar there are many more warriors. We were foolish to come here with so few of us. We need more strength if we are to defeat this enemy."

"Those who are worried about losing their homes, fear not.us I do not believe The Cocordat have come only to destroy. If that were the case, they would have bombarded you from the air and not risked this massive invasion."

Cassie took a breath, and hoped her words would sink in.

"So who's in favor of living to fight another day, hmm?"

[CrazyD]

"I'm in! Well I guess out. I belive we should abandon. Get ready on Blackstar, so when it gets invaded we can win." D supported cassie because he belive the 'hold your ground' strategy would be a failure.

"We should set up many anti-air wepons so they can't even land. If they do land, we could blast them apart with morters and machine guns. Then we may invade space together, grouped as thousands, to blow the main ships apart. After the mother ships are distroyed there will be little resistance if any. We are most likley to succeed on Blackstar." D sounded confident with this matter. He hoped the creatures would agree with him so they wouldn't be slain where they stand.

D looked at cassie then the crowd. "Join us my fellow brothers! Let us flee to Blackstar together! There we may disgard of the filthy Concordat! They will forever fear us!"

Brock tilted his head to the side as he listened, the mismatched Norn was seriously considering things in his mind. To stay here and try to protect the other Creatures, or to leave and hope they would be okay? It was a really tough decision.

"This place has been our home for years, and abandoning it is not an easy decision to make. But... you make a valid point. We will leave"

He smiled then and made a sweeping gesture with his brightly Bengal coloured right arm.

"But I'm not leaving any of them behind"

The closer she got, the brighter the light became and the tingling feeling in her limbs increased.

Eve felt as if she was floating, weightless...

Ryouyuu...?

Her striking emerald eyes widened in shock, disbelief, and she pinched herself hard to make sure she wasn't dreaming.

Eve winced. It was real alright.

But... surely it couldn't be possible?

Her legs and arms were at ease, and yet she was slowly orbiting around the dragon, hovering.

Tentatively, she reached out a slender hand towards Tetsu-ko, half expecting it to alone me a hallogram or something of that nature. Inside herself, she brutally crushed the hope that maybe, just maybe, her friend was not dead... that a miracle could happen.

But... what if it didn't? She wouldn't be able to, in a way, face losing Ryouyuu again.

She hesitated.

But... she had to. She had to know.

Her hand moved again and made contact with the dragon's scaly skin.

[Coolpikaaa]

The dragon "statue" started to give off light.Suddenly the whole surface rippled and cracked sending out a very much alive dragon.


"urgg....what happen?"

The moment Eve touched Tetsu, there was a flash of blinding, bright light. As a natural reaction, she quickly closed her eyes.

"urgg....what happen?"

Ryouyuu...?

Nynaeve tentatively opened one eye, then the other and gazed at the very much alive dragon. She blinked a couple times, not quite believing what she was seeing.

You're... alive...?

Relief flooded over her as she bent over to hug the dragon as best as she could, a smile gracing her lips.
