Brocks liquid brown eyes widened as the tanks flattened houses and then the trees began to burn. Not again, the last thing he wanted was for the Creatures here to lose their home too. But there wasn't all that much he could do. The ex-Borg checked behind him to see the majority of the village had gotten away, before looking back to make sure no-one had been left behind. He couldn't see anyone, so he figured they'd all gone.

~Linda, Sirus, where are you? If you can teleport, there's a shielded shelter I've been working on not far from here. The villagers have been sent there~

That sent, Brock stepped out of the previously smouldering treeline and strode straight up to the ranks of the Concordat without any fear showing. He cut quite a dminiutive figure as he made himself known. An odd coloured Norn holding a white staff looked at the aliens with defiance, ignoring the vehicles.

"This is our home, it does not belong to you. You should leave"

The snake-Grarg slithered through the troops, it was amazingly able to move out of the way of careless footsteps or ones that were aimed at it on purpose. Once it had reached the place it sought, that being right in midst of the enemy it stopped and curled up. Brock... You disappear for years and show up now? What happened to you?

"Who needs para-packs?"

The Sivak Draconian Syllak smirked as she dived out of the ship, the fire-lizard Sallah still perched on her shoulders. Once they were close enough to the once smouldering trees the Sivak snapped open her wings and began to glide over them, stolen plasma weapon firmly clutched in her scaly hands.

The werewolf Tala took one of the packs however and strapped it on. Broken limbs were nothing more than a minor set back for her, but in the time would take her to heal them the battle may well have been lost or won. So she'd prefer to avoid the injury.

The werewolf looked down out of the ramp apprehensively as her friend dived, before she jumped off herself. She followed the same suit as Cassie and after landing on the ground pulled out her own weapon before advancing.

The white tailed 'meteor' that had approached before had swung around and was headed towards the fifth moon. It would soon see whether or not the Concordat had spotted it.

It was counting on it.

"They..hurt...the....TREES!"

Freya screamed out of Linda's mouth before she plunged her hands deep into the earth. To wear a body again was...Wondeful. But the local wildlife came first. And she fought wildly, using her knowledge and skill to attack the Concordat..

Plants began to twist and try and latch onto the guns, to break and pul them apart. Seeds mutated and changed, the newly made vines bursting out of the ground and whipping around to cause distraction. All the while, tree's who'd had the flame removed fom them began their assult again.

~Dad? I'm sue I won't be able to convince mum to go. She's gone beserk; either that or Freya has gone balistic because of the tree's and is going to do whatever she can to kill the invaders. I better get some rain over here, might be able to get a bit of lightning if I'm lucky and get the right clouds.~

Sirus called out mentaly to him as she knelt down, and reached out so each arm was straight out and her fingers were together. Her arm's came up over her head, and then she pulled them down to her sides. Basic rain summoning.

~Also, tell those blokes that Sirus think's they're all jerks for blowing up her ship.~

The Concordat · White Belt Old Friend Posts: 41

"Sir! More activity in the air space above the village!" a pilot states over his radio to the command ship, "It's a hell of a lot bigger than the other ships we just downed. Also, I believe I saw several soldiers drop into the battlefield from it."

On board the Ascendant Justice, the Captain looks over a holographic tactical layout of the battlefield with the General. A fairly large graphic of the Manta Starfighter appears soaring above the village, along with several on the ground.

"Take it down," the Captain radios in response before turning to the General, "You should let your ground troops know about the incoming forces from the South. It doesn't seem to be many, but they do have some artillery with them. Take caution, brother."

The General nods before relaying the message to the forces on the ground. In the air, a squadron of Concordat ships descend on the Manta fighter, blasting away with Plasma, and on the ground, the Concordat prepare for The Guardian's inevitable counterattack.

"Sir, I'm also noting some strange meteor behavior in the area," a operations crew member states, summoning the Captain to his side, "It might be nothing, or it might be a new weapon."

"Keep an eye on that thing," the Captain responds, looking at the screen, "If it becomes a threat, let me know."

A Guerrilla notes the approaching norn and tugs on the arm of a Veteran. The commander follows the gaze of the grunt and listens to it the creature as he speaks.

"This is our home, it does not belong to you. You should leave."

The Veteran, grins through his armor and levels a plasma rifle with the minuscule threat.

"We are not planning on leaving anytime soon," the soldier responds in the tounge of the Concordat, "And if you know what's good for you, you'll scram now. Or else you might never leave here at all."

Several Guerrillas and a single Predator come to their commander's side to assist in the threatening of this bold, but obviously very dimwitted, creature.

The shields of the Veterans and the thick armor of the Predators mostly protect them from the natural onslaught. The Guerrillas are far less protected, being struck by vines and branches everywhere. Fortunately, their protection is in their sheer numbers, being the most numerous race in the Concordat.

A Predator lets out a roar to alert others in the area as he notices the Borg Norn nearby. Firing a plasma cannon to blast a tree into bits, the hulking being charges on Linda, its large metal shield poised to bludgeon her to death.

Linda looked up, stuck her shield up on max and dived out the way. Spike followed suit, and Sirus just growled as she stood up. The air around her shimmered red, visibly showing her shield. What she was about to do she'd never tried...

Focusing, she tried to very quickly draw all his blood into his left arm while maintaing her shield. Linda's head snapped around and she focused; the earth itself began to move aside as a dormant seed suddenly took several roots at once.

It is said that Freya could make a forset grow in the blink of an eye; Linda was just tryig to make a huge tree grow really, really quickly below Sirus to haul her upwards.

"Dude, you've seroiusly chosen the wrong planet to pick on."

Tetsu flew forward even with the new weight of Mits on her.

Mits.
Tetsu's name for Eve.

Nearby, vines had started to move on their own.It was rather interesting to watch,but in times of war...well...it is war time.Even the trees which the dragon had just saved fought with intensity.

"Might as well help `em out."

And with that she concentrated again and some of the rocks moved around the trees.Speeding faster and faster untill they formed rock blades.Anyone who got to close the the trees now would be badly cut.

Eve fought the urge to yell her excitement. Seriously. Flying on the back of a dragon was very exhilarating. And nerve-wracking- clearly indicated by how tightly she was grasping on Tetsu's neck.

Instead she narrowed her eyes, scanning the village beneath them. It was sorely tempting to just cast a few spells, but there was no telling whether she was hitting innocent civillians or the Concordat.

"Might as well help `em out."

T'was a good idea. Considering they were all in this together, and this was their country and friends they were defending, and the such, t'is was a great-geez-no-duh idea.

And she would have gladly agreed and suggested that they swoop down and kick some Concordat butt... if she had not heard "kaboom!" sounds and smelt burning material.

Surprised, Eve whipped her head around to gaze in the direction where she heard the noise and saw to her dismay that the Manta ship being attacked by an unfamiliar ship- presumably the Concordat.

~They'll be fine ryouyuu. We have more bigger problems to deal with at the moment... you thinking what I'm thinking?~

Tetsu watched the ship attack the Manta.With amazing speed,she flapped her way up to the hull of the Concordat ship and stabbed a hole big enough to fit through.

"Lets bring this thing down....from the inside."

Brock sent again to his adopted daughter, before looking up and listening to the Veteran. He ran the language through the translation hardware that still remained within him before he let out a tired sigh, turning his staff and resting one of the ends on the ground.

"I was afraid you'd say that"

Brock, once BorgNorn 725 and destined to be the Norn God of Peace's heir smiled at the Concordat.

"It was worth a try. The rest of this satellite, and the planet it orbits will not be giving up to you as easily as this one village, and my daughter thinks you're all jerks. You've been warned"

Brock stated before teleporting and leaving nothing but green sparkles where he'd once been stood. The ex-Borg reappeared near where Sirus, Linda and Soike were.

The white meteor began to head towards the atmosphere of the fifth moon, it's strange white tail streaming behind it. Since the bigger ships hadn't noticed it yet, it instead aimed itself at the ones currently attacking the Guardians Manta Fighter.

Tetsu started to glow as soon as the ship was brought down.A swarm of ship was now decending on her,and she didn't have much time. Fire,Electricity and a few strings of web formed a cocoon around the dragon but it was too late.

There was an explosion and the smell of burnt flesh.Time seemed to slow down and tetsu turned to see the massive bloody hole in her wing.

Hit again.
This time in the tail.

It burnt.

The cocoon discharged,throwing flames,bolts,and strands across the sky.It was a rather large explosion and made tetsu proud.

Again.
Chest.

Everything went black.

And there was the sound of a dragon hitting dirt.

Ghost struggled with the controls, trying to avoid the incoming fire from the Concordat weaponry. Another explosion rocked the ship, and the main view screen blinked red with a large assortment of warnings.

WARNING: HULL BREACH IN STARBOARD CARGO BAY
WARNING: HULL BREACH IN PORT FUSELAGE
WARNING: STARBOARD ENGINE SEVERELY DAMAGED
WARNING: PORT ENGINE OFFLINE
WARNING: LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEMS OFFLINE
WARNING: NAVIGATION SYSTEMS OFFLINE

Suddenly, a plasma explosion tore through the right side of the cockpit, ripping apart the starboard control panel.

WARNING: HULL BREACH IN STARBOARD COCKPIT
RECOMMEND IMMEDIATE EXIT OF THE VESSEL

Ghost didn't need to read this to figure that out. She had already skittered out of the main cockpit to the para-packs. As she reached for one, another explosion emitted from the wall with the para-packs on it. Ghost was thrown back into the cockpit, nearly flying through the hole on the starboard side. Shaking it off, she got back on her feet and returned to the para-packs.

To her horror, she found that they had all been destroyed in the last explosion. Panicking, she sprinted to the cockpit, and bashed her fist against the "Cargo Release" button. Ghost twisted around and dove from the command center just as the cockpit separated itself from the Cargo Hold. She watched the mass of metal go shooting away down towards the moon, then sprinted into the cargo hold and grabbed hold of the Puma.

The jeep shot out of the back of the Manta with Ghost holding on tightly to the mounted gun. As she struggled to pull herself into the driver's seat, Ghost noted the remainder of the Manta join its cockpit in a similar fate, spiraling to the ground. She slipped into the front seat and fastened her seatbelt as the Puma tumbled through the air. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted Tetsu give her last cocoon blast before plummeting out of the sky.

Cassie's attention was suddenly jerked to the massive explosion in the sky. In horror, she watched the Manta fighter split in two and Tetsu go down in a smoking free fall.

"Ghost, Eve, Tetsu, are any of you reading me?" she nearly yelled into her radio. In response to her question, Ghost's puma came crashing through the treetops, slowing itself with the para-mechanism just before impact.

"Ghost! You're OK!"

The Grendel wobbled out of the front seat and collapsed on the ground, extremely exhausted from her frantic abandoning of the ship.

A triumphant smile was quickly replaced by alarm.

Eve scruntched her eyes tight and clutched even tighter to Tetsu-ko's neck. She could feel Tetsu working strands of fire, electricity, and web for a protective cocoon, but the barrier didn't form fast enough.

Ear-deafening explosions.

Putrid smell of burning.

Searing heat.

None of that mattered.

All Eve could think of was... ryouyuu's hurt.

Ryouyuu's hurt.

Ryouyuu's hurt.

It was because of her idiotic suggestion that they were spiraling down...

The ground seemed to come up to meet them at an alarming rate.

Eyes opened wide now despite the rushing wind, Eve fought to stay on Tetsu. To no avail. Her hands failed her. She slipped and flew through the air all alone, watching Tetsu travel farther and farther from her.

I have to save her... I have to... I have to...

Tears began leaking from the corner of her eyes but Eve paid no heed.

"Tei seishou tame mai kyuujo... Kaze!"

No sooner had the words left her trembling mouth had Tetsu made contact with the groud.

A huge gust of wind kicked up, traveling underneath Eve. She felt no sense of relief washing over her though.

Too slow.

She had been too slow.

She gave an anguished cry even as her fall began to lessen in speed.

Thud

The wind had slowed her fall, but by no means enough to keep her uninjured. After hitting the ground, Eve rolled to lessen the impact. Difficulty breathing told her that she had injured her ribs if not broken them.

Wincing in pain, Eve fought to make her way over to Tetsu's motionless body. With one arm wrapped around her middle and one hand on the ground for support, Eve crawled.

Tears ran freely from Eve's eyes, down her cheeks, leaving stained marks.

This couldn't be happening.

Tetsu slowly opened one eye.

"Cough..cough..Hey-cough cough..Hey Mits....

Did....Did I do good?"

Blood stained the dirt.
Blood everywhere.

Tetsu coughed once more,
her eyes closed.

They didn't open again.

The sound of Tetsu's voice immediately stilled Eve's quiet sobbing, and she rubbed at her eyes, brushing away her tears.

Ryouyuu... thank god... thank god...

Completely ignoring her pain, Eve crawled until she reached Tetsu's side.

"Did... Did I do good?"

Eve gave a grin filled with relief.

"Yes, yes you-"

She never got the chance to finish.

She never got the bloody chance to finish.

"T-tetsu? No... No. No. No."

A soft, tentative stroke on the head.

Tetsu's eyes didn't open.

Eve willed for them with all her might to open, glistening tears falling freely again.

It didn't work.

Silentlly, as if in a daze, Eve shuffled over and kneeled in a seiza position, her legs underneath her.

She gently shifted the dragon's head so that it was on her lap, petting softly, completely ignorant of the blood around them.

Tears blurred her vision.

Ryouyuu... this wasn't suppose to happen... don't leave me.... please don't leave me...

Anything small,light and not tied down swirled around the dragon,faster and faster untill leaves,rock dust and flame all formed together.The liquid nature splashed all over tetsu,covering her body and hardening into extremely strong metal.

Tetsu was now more or less a statue,covered by this metal.

Not moving.
