Goron lobs an Egg at KC, leaving them, quite literally, with egg on their face. At least it wasnâ€™t rotten. All thatâ€™s left of the Egg is a sticky smear and some bits of shell.

I for one have no real opinion about the motto. *shrugs* It doesn't bother me, and I don't even pay attention to it much.

Stone arrows=1 Granite, 1 Sandalwood plank, 3 Chicken feathers 25 Yen

Bronze arrows=1 Bronze bar, 1 Sandalwood plank, 3 Chicken feathers 50 Yen

Silver arrows=1 Silver ingot, 1 Oak plank,3 Chicken feathers 150 Yen

I kind of like it.

It is slightly creepy, the bit about "come into my world" kind of reminds me of that poem about the spider and the fly....posibly because I know its DP's world we're talking about here and I don't entirely trust anyone who was headmaster for the Evil Council.

But even so it fits with the theme of the forum and things, and I like the bit about 'let go of your mind', very appropriate.

Too surreal for my liking. Why not something of the classics - Cicero is oft cited for quotability- or perhaps a biblical verse....Ecclesiastes 1:17 comes to mind.....

Oh grow up. There is not separation of church and state on Blackstar. Members are free to express beliefs however they wish. That said, this is DP's site. He can put anything he wants up there.

But what I think HLS was aiming for was just something inspirational, not necessarily something religious.

I like the surreal aspect to it! But, you're correct, Ecclesiastes 1:17 would have been an excellent choice as well.

And I don't see the problem with a Biblical verse. Its a famous book, Christian or not Christian you can appreciate its unique writing style and enthralling stories. Beautiful quotations, as well.

I get to prance around as a god, (fake god really, but that's another plot and not well known), something that should rightfully offend us Christians, but how dare we offend non-Christians...

if I had the room to put that up, HLS, I would. I am, after all, not passing any law to abridge the freedom of Religion, nor am I a government agency endorsing any religion.

Be open! All are welcome into the land of Blackstar! Besides, such a quote at the top is transient. perhaps we might have some Kabbalah the next day, or Jane Austen the next, or the Vedas after that, or maybe some good ol' Mark Twain....anything to be reflective or kooky.

Shame we can't put in something too long..... is there a limit to the number of characters?

No. We can probably go to two lines should we need to... hell, if I know DP and PHP like I do, we could have the site pick from an array of quotes and randomly slap one up there.

No, no character limit, but he'd have to resize the banner and that's more work than it sounds like given the banner's inherent design. Goron, you're right, putting up a random quotation should be easy, if DP was so inclined.
