Seeing as my warp 1 1/2 hasn't generated much interest, I give you the story of my character, KC11.

NOTE: While all of these events are fiction, some are based on real events in my life. Also note that at one point in the story the story of KC's past will end and a made up adventure will happen. Just for fun, try and figure out when that happens.

I will start writing soon, most likely after I have done my Star Testing, or tommoro, it all depends.

Crinkle crack crink!

It was morning, and the sun shown through the dragon cave brightly. The sun illuminated the inside of the cave. At first, nothing seemed special about the place. A good bit of dirt, a few bones here and there, and several tracks. That was found in pretty much every dragon cave.

But, go deeper, and you will find something more.

In the center of a cavern in the cave, there sat a fire. Inside the fire lay three blue eggs.

And there were cracks along the eggs.

As the sounds of cracking filled the room, some hurrying footsteps came from somewhere else in the cave. The footsteps grew louder, until around the corner came an adult drizzard.

Drizzards are a cross between dragons and lizards. They walk upright and have no wings, and are about the size of a 5 year old full grown. They often serve dragon familys as messengers and servents because of their speed.

The young Drizzard in question here was named Robin. He had a dull green head and a red body, and his family had served this dragon family for thousands of years. He was about the size of a 2 year old, and was well suited for caring for younger dragons.

He watched as the cracks appeared in the eggs. "A pity" he thought "That the family should be out at this time".

After what seemed to be half an hour or so, one egg finally broke.

CRESHCRAK!

The egg burst open, revealing a very dark purple dragon with orange eyes. The Drizzard fell over in shock, but soon got over it and proceeded to usher the young dragon away from the fire. When the young dragon was ushered away, it blinked in surprise at Robin, then proceeded to swallow a small rock whole. Robin studied the dragon. It had no horn on its nose, so it was a female.

The drizzard began thinking of names. The family had told him to name the dragons if they weren't around. If they didn't like the names, they would just change them, it would be no big deal at this stage.

The drizzard thought of his lovely cousin. She was a very dark drizzard who thought up the strangest things as sport. Her name was Viara.

Instantly, the drizzard thought of that name as a good name for this dragon. And so Viara was named.

As he turned to the fire, another egg burst open.

CRESH!

A purple dragon, a lighter purple than Viara, with blue eyes shot out of the egg. Once again, Robin ushered the dragon from the fire.

He looked at the dragon. Another female. The youngster's eyes reminded him of saphire. However, she also seemed to have fire in her eyes. Robin couldn't decide whether he wanted to name her Saphire or fire or blaze or some sort of reference to fire.

And then he got it. He would combine the two ideas. And so Safire was named.

Now for the last egg. It seemed to be having a hard time getting out. Robin watched carefully...

CREK!

The egg split right down the middle, and out came a purple blue dragon with blue eyes like Safire. The dragon woobled out of the fire on its own, then it sniffed the ground. It found a worm, and swallowed it whole.

Robin watched the young dragon. He noted how much she looked like the older sisters of the family. You see, there were 10 older sisters, and the parents had named all of them. This dragon family wasn't very good with names, so they had been more numbered than named. The first was named KC1, the second KC2, the third KC3... all the way to KC10. So, because she shared such characteristics, Robin thought about naming this young dragon KC11.

But... it just seemed like such a boring name. Why couldn't he think of something similar.

Then he got it.

Only he would know her by her true name. To others, she would be KC11, but unto him she would be known by a much different name....

And so, the three new sister, Viara, Safire, and KC11 had been born. The huge dragon family came later, with 14 brothers and now 13 sisters, all controlled by one single mother. They all came back to the cave and rejoiced at the three new additions. They also congradulated Robin on his exelent name choosing.

Robin looked at the family as they celebrated. He figured Safire and KC11 would be alright in this family. But he felt sorry for Viara. You see, this was a family of light dragons, and light dragons had a lightning bolt mark on the side of their faces. KC11 and Safire had that mark. Viara did not.

Robin sighed. Another day, another few hatchlings. It was all the same now. He yawned, went back into the cave, and went to sleep.

(Thanks)

Over the next few months, the three sisters mingled into the family. They got used to the fact that their parents didn't have much time for them. They got used to the fact that most of the time Robin was the one who cared from them. And they got used to the fact that they were often not treated as individuals, but as a part of a crowd.

However, they resented it.

The rest of the siblings didn't mind it at all, but the three sisters greatly hated the fact that they were in such a huge family. Before the days when they got used to it, they would often shreak and cry at the smallest thing, and when no one came, they would shreak and cry louder until either they lost their voice or Robin came and told them to be quiet. They even had their own indevidual ways of complaining. Viara, when bored, would jump up on high ledges and pounce on unsuspecting siblings, parents, and Robin below. Safire would often set a part of the cave on fire. And KC11 would sneak up on the siblings, bite their tails, and latch on.

In the months following, Robin began to notice something disterbing. Recently, the three new siblings had gone to a Draconic Convention, where many young dragons went as a social event. When the three came home, KC11 and Safire had been chatting avidly about the event. Viara had come in behind them, cast a dark look around the room, and flew off. Robin later found out that she had shut herself in a small cave room.

Robin walked up to the bolder that blocked the enterence to the room. He knocked slowly.

"Go away."

Robin heard Viara's dark voice come from the room. He had never heard her so angry.

Ignoring the dragon's commands, he pushed the bolder to the side and walked into the small room.

Viara sat in the middle, her red eyes glowing angrly.

"I said, go away."

"Viara...." said Robin, but no sooner had he spoke than the dragon lifted herself in the air and blew fire at Robin. But, instead of the red flame she usally made, Viara blew a black flame. Robin only just dogged it. Viara flew over to Robin and proceeded to blow more black flame towards him.

"STOP! STOP!" cried Robin as he backed up against the wall.

"Why stop? You know that Dark Dragons don't know the meaning of stop."

Robin was just about to run when he looked at Viara in surprise.

"Dark dragon?....."

"Don't play stupid. You knew what a monster I was all along, from the day I was born, when you saw my black scales and the fact I did not have the mark! You knew I was different, you knew I WAS A DARK DRAGON!"

Viara screamed the last words and breathed some more black flame. The room was soon filled with darkness.

"THE WHISPERS THE OTHER DRAGONS MADE! THE NAMES THEY CALLED ME! THE TAUNTS! THE POKES! THE SCREAMING!"

Viara slashed at Robin, who backed away just in time.

"Viara! Listen to me! I didn't know! I knew you were different, yes, but I didn't relize you were this different! Stop trying to take your anger out on me! PLEASE!"

Viara roared and slashed at Robin. This time, though, it made its mark.

Robin fell to the ground in pain, as his deep scars ran with blood.

His last word before he fell unconscience was "I didn't know...." then his eyes closed.

Viara stood in shock, looking at the fallen self of Robin. Slowly, that shock turned to extream anger, guilt, and fear. Why did she do it? Why did she lose control? And what would her mother think when they found the seemingly dead body of their servent?

There was only one thing to do. She had to run away.

Viara tore out of the room and ran into Safire and KC11. They had been running towards the room because they had heard the screams and the roars. They stopped. Viara looked at her sisters. Tears welled up in her eyes, and she shoved past them. Safire and KC chased after Viara until they came to the edge of the cave. Viara gave one last look at her sisters, then flew away.

(I know the story seems to be more about Viara than me, but the parts with Viara are really important events for my story. You'll see in the next chapter.)

Safire and KC11 went over to the cave where Robin lay. At first, they thought he was dead and were about to plan for the funeral when he woke up. Immidiatly, he asked where Viara was. The two dragons told him that Viara was gone. Later on, their whole family learned about it.

It was a quiet day in the cave. The mother had shut herself in her room, and the siblings went about their day with bleak eyes. No one spoke a word.

In fact, the first thing spoken after the incident was this.

"She was a lesser anyway."

That came from KC4, one of the older teens of the family. Safire overheard that.

"Excuse me?"

"Viara was a lesser." said KC4. "She wasn't equal with us light dragons. She was just a lower than dirt dark dragon. Who her father was, none of us can guess, but he was probubly lower than dirt too."

"Don't say that." said Safire threatingly.

"Why not? It's the truth. Are you starting to be soft towards those evil freaks that call themselves dragons?"

"Sis, I'm warning you...."

"I mean, she didn't even have the sign. How's that for a Welshin?"

Safire gasped. Calling a dragon a Welshin was an extream insult in dragon culture. There were pleanty of terrible insults for dragons. Winged Lizard, Fire Freak, Knight's glory. But Welshin was the ultimate insult. It means.... well, the meaning is really to terrible to say.

Safire heard a roar, and before she knew it KC11 had leapt at KC4. KC4 screamed and tried to bat KC11 off, but KC11 latched onto her nose and bit hard. KC4 roared. She shook her head hard. KC11 slipped from the nose and hit the nearby wall.

"FIRE FREAKS!" she yelled "WELSHINS! You'll pay!"

And KC4 went off.

Safire went over to her sister. KC11 was wriggling and roaring. She got up and tried to fly over to KC4. Safire held her back.

"LET ME AT HER!" screamed KC11. "NO ONE CALLS MY SISTER THAT AND GETS AWAY WITH IT!"

"KC, please." said Safire soothingly. "You've done your part, and now KC4 is going off to tell mother....."

Then she stopped. She relized just how much danger KC was in. KC4 was known to be a bratty liar, and their mother always believed her lies. KC4 would probubly say that KC11 attacked unprovocked, and that she has to be put in some sort of... place.

Safire shuddered. That place would very well be the Home for the Magicly Disabled. Normaly, they just took people who took the wrong potion and sprouted wings or people who went out at the wrong time of night and became werewolves, stuff like that. But sometimes they would take magical creatures that seemed to be insane. The HMD wasn't the best place in the world. It was more of a strict laboratory, and if you suddenly had an attack, you could be "put down".

This was too much of a risk for her sister. It was then that Safire got an idea....

A few hours later, Safire and KC11 had left the cave. The only thing they left behind was a note. It said "Goodby, and KC11 is not insane." Not exactly the best goodby note, but a note all the same.

Safire and KC11 flew for a day and a night until they found a forest. They were rather hungry, and saw a rabbit running about in the forest.

"Lunch!" they both thought at once, and they dived, mouths wide open.

The rabbit sensed that something was not right. He could slightly hear the distinct sound of something falling very quickly. He looked right behind himself to find two young dragons with mouths wide open rushing towards him. Naturally, it did the first thing any rabbit confronted with this situation would do. It ran like hell.

The dragons did not pull up fast enough, and they hit the ground hard, dirt spraying on their scales.

"Ow..." said KC11. She lifted her head and began to inspect herself. Her wings hurt a little, and she had some blood coming out from her arm. But nothing was broken.

Safire copied KC, and found the same.

They lifted themselves up and looked about the forest. It was a bright, lively forest. Sounds of life came up from all around.

"I think one of us should..." started Safire, but she gasped as she looked at KC11.

"What?" asked KC.

"KC.... uh, it must have been the crash.... maybe there's some genetic rearranging bug in the forest...."

"What are you talking about?" asked KC?

Safire didn't answer. Instead, she grabbed KC and halled her over to a nearby pool of water.

"Look into the water!" she said.

KC went up to the water, curious about what was wrong. Had the crash somehow disfigured her face?

She looked... and she thought that there was something wrong with the water.

Because she was looking into the face of a girl with short blonde hair. The girl had bright blue eyes and several pimples. She wore long jeanes, big tennis shoes, and a grey shirt with a picture of a group of ants on it. She was on all fours, like a normal dragon walking pose.

"What... is there something wrong with the water?" asked KC, bending in for a closer look.

"No." said Safire. "Look at your hands. Your feet. Everything."

KC looked at her hands. They were small, pink, had no scales, and had five fingers. She looked at her feet. Just as had been shown in the water, they were stuffed into large tennis shoes. She wiggled her foot and relized that she had toes, five, just as she had five fingers. She felt her head. No scales, but hair. She tried to breathe fire, or lightning. Neither would come out.

She screamed.

(Ah, to heck with my policy)

The days went by, and Safire tested KC11. After all these tests, Safire comfirmed it. KC11 was a true shape shifter dragon.

Shape shifter dragons were rather rare. For most dragons, the only way that they could turn into other species was by a spell. But a dragon who could shapeshift without the use of spells was something to be revered.

Days went by. Weeks went by. Everyday was normal. KC and Safire went out, captured food, played, captured food, and went to sleep. Every day, they grew larger, and all was normal.

But then, one thing happened that gave KC, and perhapes all the dragon world, a new catchphrase.

One day, KC had turned into an ugly worn to practice shape shifting. Safire was out getting some food somewhere else.

It happened that a man was traveling in the woods, and he came upon the ugly worm. He looked at it, then said "Gezz. Why anyone would want any such creature in this world is my guess. Something not even a mother could love."

He then laughed and started to walk. But he suddenly became aware of a long shadow blocking the sun. He looked behind him to see KC in her full, giant dragon glory, standing on the place where the worm had been. KC gave him a smile, then said "Do not upset the ugly worm, lest it be a dragon in disguise." then ate the man right up.

Well, days continued to go by. KC and Safire loved the way they lived, even if it was monotonus.

But their life was soon to have a rude interruption.

One day, Safire and KC were playing in the feild. Safire had recently discovered that she too was a morphic dragon like KC11. But she could only transform into that of a blonde haired girl. They were teens now, and Safire was talking about a man she had met recently. The man was a brown haired person named Zach, and Safire was planning to marry him tommoro. The two sisters were discussing this.

"But Safire, you know you guys are different! What will happen when he finds out you're a dragon?"

"How can he find out?" asked Safire.

"Your children will be dragons, or at least have some dragon bits to them!"

Safire opened her mouth, then closed it. Then she turned her head away from her sister.

"I'll tell him sometime after the wedding." she said.

"Promise?" asked KC.

"Promise." said Safire.

Well, the wedding went past. So did nine months. And you know what happens for humans in nine months....

Of course, Safire was a dragon, yes. But she did spend such a long time in her form that her body's rythms became that of a human. And so, it was one day that she began to give birth.

It was 3 hours after she had begun. KC had just gotten to the hut where her sister and Zach lived. KC took the form of a blonde haired girl and walked into the hut.

The doctor ushered her out, saying that they were about to do a C section, because the baby just wasn't coming out.

This horrified KC. She suddenly knew just what was happening.

Safire was trying to lay an egg. Or several eggs. Who knows?

She began praying to the Nature Dragons, hoping with all her might that her sister had told Zach that she was a dragon.

After half an hour, a scream from Zach told her what she most feared.

Safire had lied to her.

KC rushed into the room to see a blue egg sitting on a table, and Zach staring at the egg like it had come from outer space.

"I thought you told him." said KC, glaring at Safire.

"I know but... I couldn't, KC. I just didn't have the heart to do so..."

"Would someone please tell me what is going on?" asked the doctor, who was looking at the egg in the same way Zach was.

KC looked at both the men, then said "It's best said outside."

Soon, they were all outside. KC slowly turned into her dragon form. Then she nudged Safire, who grudgeingly followed suite.

"Safire... you're... you're a... dra.... dragon...." stammered Zach.

Then he passed out.

It took a good many days, but finally Zach got used to the fact that he was married to a dragon. The egg hatched several weeks later. It hatched into a hansome male turquoise dragon with healing powers. Safire named the young one Jade. All was peaceful and good.

But one day, something terrible happened.

***

Safire, Jade, and KC11 were out in the forest searching for food. They were tracking a deer that was out of their reach. Slowly they crept up to it...

The deer heard them and bolted.

"Nuts." said KC. "I was sure we had it!"

They suddenly heard a great amount of stomping.

"Hey!" said Safire, running to the spot. "That sounds like a herd of deer! The Natures must have been playing tricks with us! Come on, KC!"

And she ran to the spot.

KC began to follow with Jade in toe, but she suddenly heard a scream. She ordered Jade to stay where he was, and flew over to the spot to see....

Safire being ushered into a cage by a group of men in black cloaks.

"Get 'er in there!"

"Yup! The money for this on' will feed us for three months!"

Safire struggled and lashed out at the bandits. KC flew quickly down.

"What are you doing with my sister?" she asked.

The bandits looked at KC, then looked at each other. One finally said "What luck! Food fer six months!"

Then they ran at KC, weilding clubs. KC quickly turned into a field mouse and scampered away. The men looked around, very confused. But then they shrugged their shoulders and went to get the cage Safire was in.

KC shed a tear as they took her sister away.

"Safire... I'm sorry."

Then she went to get Jade.
