Corporate Technology Proposal

It has occurred to me that perhaps a thread dedicated to listing and detailing Corporate technology that Mr Rawlings, Till or myself has used or may wish to use in the future may be appropriate. As each of us has used or come up with technology in the few threads we have taken part in, it would be a little easier to have it in one place altogether.

I also propose that this not be put in the Underground Bunker, but rather here, as a measure to prevent anyone with ideas who may not have seen my warning in that particular forum.

I would appreciate feedback from my colleagues when they have finished with their respective duties and check back here.

Something like the felbeasts and the guardians have done, except keep if for our use only? Yes, that would be a good idea. As a Corporation, we mass produce our products, so a company standard would be an excellent idea.

We have the three mechs that we used during the Olympics, but those are already posted elsewhere on the board. Perhaps we could simply copy them for reference in our database. Anyways, what other tech did you have in mind, Laur?

On an unrelated note, this new item system is a splendid addition. Perhaps we could make use of it ourselves?

That is indeed exactly what I had in mind Michael. As well as the three personalised Mechs we have, we have also used several other marvels of technology.

This is a list of the ones that I remember:

The 'normal' Mechs that Till used in the original Corporate Developments
The mini-Mechs that I came up with, with the added electrified hulls.
The Corporate satellites
The spy drones, complete with a bugging device that will cloak and attach to the target. These I used in Corporate Developments 2.
The defense guns at various Corporation outposts.

That should be enough to get it started up. However from looking at this I feel we are lacking in water based vehicles, so that may be something to consider.

As for the item system, we are a Corporation, are we not? As a conglomerate, we are a "large company which consists of divisions of often seemingly unrelated businesses." That is the definition given to me by Au'Marui. We can either find a way to use that or set our own purpose. I for one cannot see a way to excercise the first option, but I am open to suggestions. Either way, controlling the economy of the Dojo is our final goal.

Wise at last. Excellent. You start to think like I do- in terms of game of economic victory, with short-term or perhaps even long-term policy advancements.

First, we need to heal the rift in between this entity and the Psychotopian government. Perhaps by creating a few shadow-companies that bear fiscal connections to us yet show a more appealing face to our consumer markets. The Walt Disney Corporation does this, using the Disney logo to create the warm and wholesome image of family entertainment when producing children’s schlock, but assuming the more mature Touchstone Productions when making a picture with more adult-oriented themes.

Similarly, we need to harness the legal system of Psychotopia to maximize our profit enhancing margins. Genocide is outlawed by all but the most extremist governments, but what about wage slavery? Encouraging corporate loyalty through fiscal rewards? Unethical waste removal techniques? A brutal fists do not lead to successful endgame strategies. A cunning plan almost always does.

Why not attempt a stock issue, to improve our wealth? Create puppet accounts to vote by proxy with? Make loans then charge extreme interest. Privatize the water system, then claim ownershipover rainwater?

There are more games to be played than you have conceived. Brainstorm!

Sounds like you've been saving up those ideas for quite some time, HLS, haven't you?

In order to create alternate labels for our Corporation to operate under in other markets, we first must decide on a few target markets. I personally suggest that at least one of our shadow-companies targets Blackstar's newer users. They are inexperienced and uneducated in the world of the Dojo. Even without pressure they are prone to mistakes.

I fail to see how Genocide would create a profit anyways, so it is not so much of a loss that we cannot legally perform such an act. As for wage slavery, our company's assets (well over half of the currency in circulation) do allow us to do such a thing.

And as for unethical waste removal techniques, like I believe you stated earlier, we are not out to purposefully destroy the environment. However, should said techniques provide the most cost-effective solution, I can see no reason why we should go out of our way to pay more.

Privatizing the water system of Psychotopia may have less of an effect than we desire, seeing as I fail to find any mention of said water system anywhere on this forum. I'm not saying it does not exist, simply that in the eyes of the role players it takes on a lesser role. Admittedly, if we pointedly attacked such an asset with openness, announcing it to the world, it would certainly take centerpiece.

My point is that you cannot necessarily take something that works in the real world and apply it here. Blackstar has a somewhat less than usual economy, mainly because many elements of standard society do not exist here.

However, what if we did the same privatization to a commodity that already has the Psychotopian spotlight. For instance, Pocky? It is a well-known fact that Au'Marui will do anything for that certain resource, and being the ruler of all of Psychotopia... well, you see my point. There is already a stock in place for it, buying the controlling share would not be difficult.

Perhaps it has escaped you on your journey around the universe, or wherever it is that you went, but no one of us has been around this place long enough to bring anything of any worth as far as the world as we know it here is, to fruition.

Possibly the few things worth noting during your and indeed, Michaels absence is the trade between us and the Evil Council group along with the death of Blackstars god.

Whilst I am more than aware each of us has our own, real world problems to deal with, I cannot help but feel a tad annoyed. Fortunate it is that it is balanced out by relief to see a Corporation member other than myself here once again.

Well, I have made a post in the bulletin board, but no-one has taken any interest whatsoever... I mean, people have read it, but there has been no response. We cannot recruit when there is no-one who wants to be recruited. Do we have any ideas of how we might solve this...?

I do not believe that the post is visible enough, personally I'd reword the title 'Corporation seeking members!' or something similar, add more of a flair to it. It seems a little... bland. Cater to the masses and enthuse!

Perhaps "exciting futures in the commodities market."
