DM vs Addman

The draconic mutant shook her head as that slight smile once again played across her lips. The mutant spread her arms while at the same time unsheathing her claws.

"I didn't have any weapons in the first place, my illusions were what I threw at you. You're going to have to take my word as a Flock member that I won't use them anymore"

Addman did not know that she was a member of The Flock, although he did know that The Flock were a group dedicated to decency and honesty. He tossed his gun to the side, and then replied to her.

"No illusions either." He stated.

Trying to bait her, Addman questioned her choice in joining The Flock.

"You know, I never figured you'd join something like The Flock. You're such a cold, calculating killer, I bet The Flock doesn't allow you much freedom."

With that, he raised his fists to near his chin, striking a pose which looked slightly ridiculous when performed by children's puppet. He waited for her reply.

DM blinked and opened her mouth to answer, revealing four long fangs where her canines should have been, then seemed to think better of it and closed it. His question had caught the mutant completely off guard.

"No... " she said slowly, shaking her head "They're very good to me. Help me learn, are helping me to control myself... You've got it all wrong"

She brought her arms up in front of her, bent at the elbows and with one clawed hand further out than the other. Her legs mimicked the position and her tail helped with her balance.

"I'm not a killer"

"Not a killer? Then why are you fighting in the forest? Do you think that The Flock would encourage fighting like this?"

Stepping forward, Addman flung out his right arm and attempted to land a straight punch on her chin.

"Mmphff"

The sound was about the closest thing that left Blue's lips as Addmans punch connected with her chin, and caused her to take a step back to steady herself. Blood welled up from where her fangs had cut the inside of her mouth, so she turned her head and spat it out to the side. ~Shouldn't let myself get so distracted like this~ she thought, glaring at him.

"They told me about you. You're a part of that Evil Council, aren't you?"

Blue lunged forwards, bringing both her hands with their unsheathed claws forwards and down. She was aiming catch either of his arms.

After landing a successful punch, Addman was caught slightly off guard as she recovered from the blow so quickly and lunged at him with her claws outstretched. He only had enough time to bring his arm over his face to cover it from any potential damage. Unfortunately for his left arm, it recieved two gashes for it's trouble, which spilt a lot of stuffing onto the floor.

"Gah!" Cried the muppet in a mixture of surprise and agony. He pulled backwards a couple of steps and held his wounded arm with his right. It seemed OK, he could still move it fine, but it stung a hell of a lot.

In response to Blue question, Addman met her with a quizzical expression.

"So what if I am a member of the EC?" He replied. "And what did 'they' tell you about me exactly?"

Flexing the scratched arm proved that it was still useable and fully operational, but squeezed a little bit more stuffing out from the wound. Deciding to show that he could be much more athletic than his stocky frame would appear, Addman took a step forward, then stepped on a nearby hollow log. Leaping off the log to gain a little extra height, he approached Blue in the air, then swung his right leg in a sweeping arc and attempted to land a kick in the side of her head.

"You are evil"

Blue stated an answer, before the hidden athleticism completely took her by surprise.

"AARGH!"

The mutant screamed as she was propelled sideways by the force, her body crumpling to the ground. She landed on the floor in a heap, the other side of her head receiving a second blow from the hard earth as well as her left arm landing awkwardly beneath her.

Blue was seeing stars now, and she blinked her eyes as she tried to get rid of the lights.

Seeing as he had sent the mutant reeling, Addman tried to capitalise on his advantage. Standing behind the log he had previously leaped off, he extended his left foot, and gave it a hard shove. This sent the log rolling pretty fast towards Blue.

As it rolled, Addman kept pace behind it, ready to spring over and launch another attack.

As Blue blinked, something that looked like a whirling brown blur came hurtling at her. While stilled dazed from just having taken too many blows to the head, the mutant acted purely on instinct. She brought the wing that was not burdened with her body over it, the edge touching the ground and creating a ramp effect, then wrapped her free arm around her head as she did so.

The only thought going through her head then was that she hoped it wouldn't break her wing.

The log rolled harmlessly up and over Blue's Be-It-Yourself ramp. It sailled through the air and shattered against a nearby tree. Meanwhile, Addman, who had been running behind it, leaped, and attempted to land directly on Blue with a two-footed stomp.

Blue felt the log roll over her, and heard it shattering when it hit one of the trees behind her. She began to lift her wing so it didn't cover her anymore, as she hadn't seen the muppet behind it in her dazed state.

The next thing she heard was a sickening crack as Addmans double-stomp compacted her wing and broke the light bones. At the same time the excruciating pain of both broken bones and crushed side made themselves known.

"YOU BROKE MY WING!

The mutant screamed in a primal voice as the glow within her eyes became so bright it would have shone through her eyelids. The yellow, primal energy that she housed within herself was loosed in a violent blast.

He took the burst directly in the chest, which sent him sprawling backwards as he bounced once along the earthy ground. Skidding to a halt on his left side, Addman was rather confused and hurt. He didn't even understand where that had come from. He lay amongst the tall grass for a moment, trying to catch his breath again.

He looked down at his chest. There was a burnt, bald spot around the size of a tennis ball directly beneath his throat. This angered him intensely, which made him scramble to his wobbly feet.

"LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE!" He screamed, pointing with both hands towards his new furless patch.

"I had a hot date tonight! She thinks my fur is loveliest feature! If I go like this, I'M ONLY HALF LOVELY!"

Of course, he wasn't about to divulge the information that his hot date was in fact, imaginary. In his fury, he began to run towards Blue, unsure what he was about to do next.

Blue pushed herself up off the ground slowly, but faster than she should have considering the amount of pain a broken wing bone should have given her. It wasn't that it wasn't there, it was just that the energy that had been released and was now flowing in and around her pushed everything else back, even intense pain.

The violent release over with now, the mutant turned her briliiantly glowing eyes on the muppet. The tips of her long black hair began to move as though a gentle breeze was pushing them in the opposite direction of gravity.

"Stay away... from.... me.... "

She warned, struggling to force the words out before her mind reverted.

Addman continued his charge towards Blue, however, he noticed something very different about her. Her eyes were glowing, like he had awoken a slumbering beast from within. Regardless, he was too angry to bother himself with trivial matters such as rationale or strategy, instead, choosing to rush in first without knowing what was happening within his opponent. For all he knew, she could have instantly gained godly powers, but he didn't even consider it.

When he was close enough, Addman jumped and lunged with his shoulder towards her, hoping to strike her on the side where her broken wing was.

Blue watched with rapidly disappearing dismay as he refused to take her warning, anger it seemed was fuelling him as well.

The mutant would have fallen to the side again as he hit the side with her broken wing had she not reached out a clawed hand and dug them deep into the bark of a nearby tree. Her awkwardly held wing further compacted, a few more of the light bones shattered against her side. A few fragments poked out of the black scales of her skin, and blood trickled down it, yet Blue hardly seemed to notice. She didn't even yell.

Instead, she kept her brightly glowing eyes firmly fixed on the muppet as she swiped her free arm at him with her now-greatly increased strength and speed whilst yelling "I SAID STAY AWAY!!!"
