I don't think there have been any rules set out yet, so here's my proposal:

RULES
Criminal Records
First of all, details on criminal records.
Yes, we keep records of your transgrettions. They are stored in the moderators only part of the Hall of Shame ((Note to self: Suggest a moderators only subsection of the Hall of Shame)). These are usually kept out of the public eye and won't be revealed to anyone (not even you) without a good reason.
Rights
You have:
The right to privacy: Moderators do not make a habbit of scanning PMs without a good reason. But if we here any reports of illicit things happening behind the scenes, kiss this right good-bye. Also, you may request that your criminal record be exempted from the 'Freedom of Information' subsection of the rules located furthur down the page.
The right to an unbiased judge, jury and executioner: The mods here are as unbiased as possible. If you complain against an EC member, master RPer, god, demon etc. Then your case will be taken seriously no matter what our affiliations may be. If you feel that they aren't, you can always appeal.
The right to appeal: If you feel that a moderator or admin has dealt with you too harshly, feel free to appeal to another mod. But remember, if you don't have a good reason to appeal, you may just end up with the opposite of what you wanted. And yes, apologies are taken into account, so long as they are sincere.
The right to request information: If you are investigating something important and wish to access moderator-only information such as the Hall of Shame, you can request temporary access. But remember, like with appeals if you don't have a good reason you may be punished for wasting the mod team's time.
Responsibilities
And of course, with rights come responsibilities. Here they are:
The responsibility of not being an asshole: You may not: Spam, hack or otherwise alter the board. Also, you may not offend, ignore or harass other members. If you do anything even remotly like the above, you will be dealt with accordingly ((A topic intended to offend will be dealt with by a swift deletion and a removal of topic creation rights, for example.))
The responsibility to learn: Pay attention to what people say, and remember the importance of rank. If someone's a black-belt or an 'Old Friend', they probably know what they're talking about. So when they say 'That's called powerplaying and it's bad', and you ignore them and continue to do it, expect to get punished for it.
