Gabe lumbered out of the small hole of the entrance to the dome, following X-static's lead. The electric man from a distant place needed Gabes help, so - Gabe would help.
When he finally lifted his head (he had to crouch over to fit through) he saw X-static throwing a bolt of bright blue electricity at one of the creatures, frying it. The howl it set loose was ear pericing.
X-static seemed to be contemplating what to do. Hesitation wasn't one of Gabe's strong suits, he was a protector, so he would protect.
Gabe ran the 10 feet to where X-static was stood and in nearly one motion grabs him in one arm and jumps.
He jumps high, higher than the flying beasts because he had a long way to go.
This is not how he would have prefered to do things - but the others had said they would need to be quick with the suits. He hated being off the ground. In actuality he felt it made him a bit sick.
They landed on the other side of the flying beasts near to the ship. Gabe released X-static gently and drew his axe, turning to the beasts. His shield automatically sprung to life; sensing the danger.
If they attacked, he would hold them off.
It seemed to him however that instead they retreated backwards into the tops of the trees, scared of these to new comers. He laughed out loud. Then everything went silent. No wildlife, no wind, no buzzing noises.

"SCREEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

That loud high pitched noise came from the trees. Gabe wondered if something big wanted to play.

"SCREEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

The Mother-of-all-Kashiras rose from beyond the tree top horizon.

It had a nearly twenty-five foot wingspan, with an elongated neck that rode out eight feet ahead of the eight foot body. It had a somewhat pointed and crested head with a sharp looking beak, which opened to emit another-
"SCREEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

Large feet with nasty claws extended backwards. They were slightly webbed, but not for swimming, they provided additional flight control, affording the winged beast exceptional agility for something her size. At the "elbow" bend of the wings were hand like appendages with more of those nasty looking claws, smaller and more dexterous, they seemed to be grasping at the air as the beast approached. Clearly it is not a bird, as it lacks true feathers, in their stead the beast sports light weight translucent scales, which make for a suitably hard armor-like covering. They also make an extremely sharp leading edge for the wings

Her piercing red eyes stare at the large brown man who has frightened her children, and she sees several of them lying dead. Her anger is re-doubled-
"SCREEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

Her anger emanates from her in rudimentary telepathic projection with such terrifying intensity that often her victims simply fall over dead from the fear it evokes,

Seeing Gabe standing just beyond the dead body of one of her offspring, she dives towards him with lightening speed, extending her feet forward intending to grasp his shoulders with both feet, and tear off his head with her beak.

"Well that's a rather large beast..." Goron stated, noting the enormous being that had just materialized beyond the bio-dome. Knowing that he was relatively safe in the dome, Goron began attempting to remove the shield generator from his console, hoping to make it a more permanent device.

He placed the new object in the center of the bio-dome, where it could provide the most power.

"X-Static, I have installed the device, and it should hold until you get back to give it a power boost," Goron spoke over his comlink, "Are you guys OK, or do you need help?"

Goron looked sadly at his stripped-down console as he waited for an answer. "At least you still have me!" Allisa, the AI, piped up cheerfully.

"Wonderful..." Goron grumbled.

X-Static had found himself a little surprised that he'd been thinking of jumping the divide, when Gabe actually grabbed him and leapt across. Time was obviously of the essence, and the more that they saved the better. Entering the shuttle craft, X-Static had begun unlocking all of the different chests and storage cupboards looking for all of the oxygen suits that they'd have to wear in the vacuum of space. He stopped and turned around as the beast screeched.

Looking through one of the port holes, he sees the beast just above the treetops coming towards them at a tremendous pace. It was certainly big. Very big. Bigger than he had expected it to be. They were going to have to run. Quickly. Very quickly if they were going to survive. Turning back to the task at hand, he shudders as the creature screeches yet again. Finally finding all of the oxygen suits, he opens up a trunk with wheels an places everything carefully inside of it, including helmets, oxygen tanks, the suits, boots and gloves.

In response to Goron's transmission through a small head piece, "We will be back as quickly as we can. We have an obstacle; make that a large obstacle to get by." Cutting off his transmission, he lifts up the handle he begins wheeling it out behind him and gets to the entrance of the ramp when he sees the large creature flying straight towards Gabe. Two choices, dive tackle Gabe out of the way, or attempt to shield everything. Choosing the former, as it sounded easier, he lets go of the luggage as he charges forwards, and leaps propelling himself with a small burst of electricity from his legs, aiming to tackle Gabe out of harms way...

The beast. And the beast the lay in him. Staring at one another. Gabe didn't even hear the noise that X-static was making inside the shuttle. He was preparing.

Suddenly the beast began to swoop - heading directly for him. He took his stance. Setting his feet in place, putting his right leg back slightly further for a better stance. He was going to take this on his shield and then chop away with his axe. He didnt want to risk those talons hitting his flesh.

As the beast bore down upon him he saw its eyes. Dark - near pitch black. Striking fear into the heart of normal beings to the point where they freeze and are taken away. Gabe was certainly not an ordinary being. He stood there. Raised his shield like a spartan - ready to take the brunt when just before contact he fell to the floor with a weight on top of him.

The beast flew past un happy that it missed its prey. Gabe was unhappy also. He was enraged infact. He looked down and saw X-static to his left. Hed pushed him out of the way. Completely breaking his focus. His was angry with X-static but only because his pride had been hurt. He wasn't used to team play.
He growled at X-static then nodded as if in thanks.

By this time the beast had swooped back around and Gabe wasn't ready. This thing was fast despite its size. It came at them again and Gabe had little time to do anything else than dive to one side, however the gust from the wings threw him into the ground unexpectadly, causing his chest to bruise and one of his ribs to break. He spat blood which singed the ground... this was going to be tough unless he worked with X-static.

The Queen Kashira was ready to grab the large brown bi-ped, when a smaller, blue-haired bi-ped pushed him out of the way.

She spread her webbed feet and scooped the air, accelerating quickly. At the end of the scoop, she pushed them sideways, and turned her head sharply, the crest flareing to cut the air. The combination caused the flyying beast to turn sharply around so she could make another pass. Just before grasping her victim, it jumped out of the way.

"SCREEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

She screamed in frustration, as she repeated the quick turn move and prepared for another pass, intending at the last minute to dodge the brown man and snatch the blue-haired man. He was smaller, but he would feed several hatchlings none the less.

Goron snapped out of the trance he had put himself into while he had been working and focused his attention back away from the giant screeching "bird" to Whiteoak.

"Huh? Tunnels, right, let's do that thing that you said."

X-Static hd seen the partial anger in Gabes eyes, but he would much rather be disliked, rather than have a dead ally on the ground. He'd not bee on his knees long when the creature was coming back around towards Gabe again. Obviously his bulk must be enough to feed her young. Not quite willing to lt his team mate down, X-Static opens his palms and stretches his arms out wide to either side.

Jumping from palm to palm is a mass surge of electricity which then begins to widen as he powers up the charge. Eventually, it almost looks like a shimmering blue and white shield. As the Kashira gets dangerously close, he unleashes the energy towards the strange bird, staring as he hopes it'll fry the beast quickly and efficiently...

"Alright then."

HollowEyes leapt into the air, and much to his surprise he stayed there. ~Hollao, this kind of flight seems more dependant on will than any kind of physical action. Just think of where you want to go and it should work.~ ~Thanks Aoiame.~ HollowEyes quickly circled around Rai for a few times until he was sure that he'd gotten the hang of this, then swooped down on her and seized her up in his talons. He tried to be as gentle as he could in doing so, but reminded himself that he needed to get a firm grip so that he wouldn't let go of her either.

Once he was sure that he had a good hold of her, the Parasitian shot upwards, hurtling towards the edge of the asteroid's atmosphere. ~Hollao, you'll need this charm to get through space.~ A leaf from the Charm Tree extended in front of HollowEyes, flapping about wildly as they surged forward. He didn't really have time to see what it was, as the moment Ayame disconnected it the charm slapped into his face, but he knew soon enough as he felt the effects of it kick in.

"I won't be able to speak to you between asteroids Rai, so if you notice something that I don't and we need to avoid it, pull on my right leg if we need to go right or my left leg if we need to go left, okay?"

There wasn't really time to wait for her answer, as HollowEyes felt his entire head petrify. He honestly didn't understand how these asteroid zoo things worked, but like this he couldn't breathe even if he wanted to, so he didn't need to worry about suffocating in space, and his Parasitian body was biologically able enough to protect him from whatever other dangers most other species experienced from travelling into space, or at least prevent any permanent damage.

Looking ahead, he could see that they were fast approaching the Jungle asteroid. Figuring that they could at least take a break to allow him to breathe again, he slowed to a descent so that Rai wouldn't simply be smashed into the planet's surface when he landed, scouting about for a suitable place to stop for a while.

The Queen Kashira sped closer and closer....

The lesser bi-ped with blue hair seemed to have something glowing between his hands, it looked fascinating. She swerved to grab him, but just at the last, the glowing expanded and raced up to meet her.

As a flying beast of her size, the Kashiras had evolved a defense against lightning strikes. The scales had the ability to absorb and store large amounts of electricity. Not enough to absorb a full lightning strike, but enough to render it non-lethal. The electric ball impacted the Kashira. She instantly lit up the sky, as the scales glowed like light bulbs. She had burns over a large part her body, and the little hairs of her face and eyelashes were singed away.

Burned, weakened, and wounded, but very much alive, she turned again for another pass, from the claws on her right wing, tentacles of small electric bolts extended towards the ground. Primarily to dissipate the electricity in the scales, but also usable as a weapon, she could target them roughly in the direction of the two bipeds.

Half of the scales on her right wing ceased to glow.

Gabe had been worrying about his scrawnier friends safety. Since the sudden lightshow, he no longer worried. it looked like it would fry most normal beings but the flying beast had a resistance to it.
The wings on this beast were usually shiny but the wing on the right had become dull and the lightning bolts were now being returned back at him and X-static.
Gabe had apprehension about leaving the ground but if he was to get his teeth into this battle he would need to suck up his fear and get his axe dirty.
As the beast careaned closer to them it went down for a swoop at X-static, Gabe took this as his chance and leapt onto the birds wing, then scuttled his way across it towards the back of the head.
He had to keep a nice tight grip because the beast was despeartly trying to throw him off, it didn't matter for Gabe though - one arm was easily enough to bury this axe deep into the birds flesh.
As he raised it high the beast began trying to reach its head round and snap at Gabe, to no avail however - Gabe was a master of combat and swung the axe deep into the base of the beasts neck.
Instantly it must have died as its wings stopped flapping and it crashed towards the ground with its head at an odd angle. Because gabe had his legs wrapped tightly around the birds neck - the weight of the bird seemed to break one of his legs at an odd angle. He didn't even cry out in pain, in fact he was smiling; maybe because he was back on the ground.
The leg was rather nastily broken at the shinbone and looked like it would be troublesome.
Gabe was too tired to heal it himself without some rest so he thought he would leave it to the small one to do something, hed seen them heal their bones earlier so maybe they had some skill.
