The Journey, The Fight, and The Unknown

[Rin]

"im ok" the boy says leaning forward more in a futile attempt to see under the cloak. He sighs and leans back finaly giving up then rubs the back of his head

[Triona]

Nandini frowned as he replied. Curious could be a word to describe not just different but disapproving quirks. Though she was different, Nandini was not the sort to be pleased with being called an oddity.

She looked away, into the forest and considered leaving.
A small sound caused her to perk her head up though and she stared past the field to her right with interest.
Only a small hare jumped from the long grass though and darted away at the sight of them.

Despite it being a harmless annoyance, Nandini shivered.
'Ever get the feeling you're being watched, but not?'
She looked over at the two wanting to imply more question than in her last comment.

[Yoshi]

Yoshimasa lowered his voice,"Do you think perhaps we are being watched? That is a troubling possibility. Are you sure of it?" He glanced around rather nonchalantly as if he were talking about the weather and attempted to take a sip out of his empty tea cup. "Delicious tea, don't you agree?" He said this rather loudly almost as if he wanted someone to hear.

[Triona]

Nandini twitched and rolled her blood-red eyes.

Obvious was an understatement for her. How, if any, watching people would react however was another thing all together.

'It is just a feeling' She answered a low, soft voice.
Silently, she then merely watched and waited for the next move.

This Yoshimasa person, past his tea-drinking antics, seemed to have more then a drop of common sense in him.

[Yoshi]

"I'd say your feeling is right.", Yoshimasa said in a low voice again, "Don't worry. I have things all under control. Lets just see what happens when I do this.... you may wan to cover any eyes you might have. You, too, boy." Yoshimasa set down his teacup and made a slight gesture with his hand. The entire wood lit up with such a dazzling light as to blind all but the most divine of beings. He listened for any screams of pain.

[Rin]

"eep!" the boy quickly covers his eyes with his shirt revealing part of an ornate tatoo underneath

[Triona]

Nandinis' species were creatures bathed constantly in light, not to mention that she, herself, was one who used natural daylight as a weapon.

'If I have eyes?'

Silence overtook her with this thought as she watched his next few movements, picking up even the slight gesture to the trees.

Even if a race which belonged in the light, Nandini was dazzled by the flash which seemed to blind the sun itself. Everything was cast a total white and she narrowed her eyes to combat the twinge of pain in her large red eyes.

And nothing.
Not a sound or movement. Her eyes narrowed even more because at the eerily barren response of his attack.

[Yoshi]

"I see. I'm tempted to say that we are in fact not being watched given the nature of the aftermath of my flare, but something still causes me to lean otherwise. Ah well, let them come. I have nothing to hide." He gave a slight wink with that last sentence and refilled his cup of tea. Sipping it, he looked up at the sky, "I do apologize though, for that sudden outburst. I hope you both covered your eyes quickly enough. I think I may have overdone it a tad."

[Rin]

"whatever..." he boy says quietly, then looks up at them both. "So are you two going to help me get home or hold me hostage like the others did?" he tilts his head staring at them, the look in his eyes showing how worn he was, probably from the time he had mentioned being in captivity.

[Triona]

'Oh it was fine, if quite impressive.'
She replied flatly to the tea-drinker and made a small movement, like a shrug that could be seen faintly under the swabs of material she wore.

Nandini then swung her head haughtily to the side and stared at Rin as he spoke accusingly. 'What do you mean...'
Her voice was low, so she repeated herself.
'What do you mean by that?'
She leaned forward and stare at him. 'I have done nothing to harm you... and wait... what others?'
Her eyes narrowed as the full impact of his words hit her.

[Rin]

((on a small note, Rin has not yet made his appearence here yet :p))

the boy looks over at Nandini and sighs "jsut because you've done nothing to harm me does not mean you arent holding me captive.... " he says airily as if not really caring. He sighs and stands to strech. "the others i speak of however.... are the ones....." he taps his chin for a moment as though thinking then accusingly points his finger at yoshi as though he had done somthing wrong "hunting him!"

[Yoshi]

"Hunting me? How interesting. I wonder why they'd hunt me. I can't imagine I'd make good eatings, and I also don't see where I could make a good trophy. I do suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder, though. But I can assure you, dear boy, I'm not going to hold you hostage, and I don't plan on letting this nice young lady hold you hostage, either."

[Triona]

'So there are others then...'
Nandini, had (though unwilling to admit) been wrong about sensing someone in the woods. But there were people out there, or so this boy said. How much he could be trusted though.

She wouldn't let her concentration slip again lest embarrassment be her downfall. Pride was important enough to her not to be in the wrong again.

She made a sound of grudging as Yoshimasa swerved around the boy's question in a freakishly teasing and pleasant manner.
'Chasing you... why and who?'
Nandini asked quietly though her question was sharp for probing of answers.

[Yoshi]

"My dear, I assure you I haven't the slightest clue. Well... maybe the boy speaks of the delightful man and woman I met earlier. I believe they may have wanted to speak with me, but they were trying to ask in such a frightful manner. Make no mistake however, they were absolutely delightful to play with. But, then they disappeared.... so sad."

[Triona]

Again, Nandini noted as he veered round his questions. He was obviously one who either did not trust others, or felt the need to be optimistic even while giving vital information.

'I see.'
She let the matter drop with him and turned to the boy. He might be more willing and besides, judging from his contradiction, the boy might be easier to speak to.
'So they tried to take you hostage... while chasing him?'
