Tag Team Round 1:Addman and Cloud vs Till Doyle & Laur D

((Arena: It is a vast green land, with the occasional tree spotted about, and a forest just on the edge of the green plain circling around from the right to the left, in a semi-circular fashion. To the right is a large lake, several metres deep, and at least twenty feet in length and thirty feet in width. Around the plain there are a few boulders spread about randomly. There are most likely rocks and stones spread around somewhere.

New Ruling: All parties are allowed in the arena at the same time, rather than actually tagging in and out. Use this wisely.

((So, my understanding is that both of us don't need to tag in and out, and that we're both in the arena at the same time. Is that correct?))

Addman looked disappointed. It appeared to be exactly the same arena in which he had battled Father Mac earlier that day. It was funny how history kept repeating itself, and this olympic event certainly had a distinct air of deja vu.

Again, a bird chirped overhead, and a small squirrel ran across his path. This time, a swift stomp put an end to the cutesy critter's adorable antics, but left the muppet with a slightly messy sole. Trying to scrape it off on a rock, he began to think about the opponents that he and Cloud had drew.

Till and Laur were ruthless members of The Corporation, but despite never going head to head with these two, he figured they would probably be suited up in battle mechs, armed to the teeth with gadgets, lazers, sensors, bottle openers, morse code communicators, sky TV, and all other bits and bobs which Addman's mind began to mull over with a sense of wonder. He made a mental note to get himself one of these Mech's so he could watch "Multiverse's Scariest Park Jobs" whilst crushing armies of the dead.

Coming back to reality, the muppet began to formulate a plan, but he would need Cloud's help in order to enact it. He began to march towards the edge of the clearing, hoping to be spotted by the two Corporation members.

[Cloud]

As Addman was thinking of all the wonders that the Corporations mechs beheld, Cloud turned to him and said:

"Would you stop thinking about "Multiverse's Scariest Park Jobs" for two seconds and concentrate on this battle?"

Addman seemed to ignore this comment, probably too far into his own imagination to hear him. As Addman wandered off towards a clearing, Cloud stayed behind for a few seconds, then followed him.

[Laur Doyle]

Laur stood within a clump of trees in the Arena, a cold smile slowly spreading across her face. The ruthless Corporation member was not in her mech at all, not this time. No, this time she'd opted for the more practical Skin Suit that had been made for her. She was glad of her choice as well, as it would have been very hard to hide a mech in an Arena like this one.

Apart from the lower half of her face, Laur was completely covered by the Skin Suit. The visor of her helmet was down, although the HUD display had been switched off for the moment. Laur didn't need sensors to know where her opponents were or where they were heading, but her team mate might.

The thought of who her team mate was made Laurs smile freeze before what little could be seen of her expression returned to the mask she'd worn for years. Fin Fin wouldn't exactly have been her first choice for a partner, but she had little choice of competent fighters at the minute. Laur knew that Fin Fin was at the very least that, she'd experienced it herself.

The unwanting mutant brought her right wrist out in front of her face, close enough to her mouth for her to be able to whisper. She didn't activate the holographic display just in case it gave away her position.

"Fin Fin, they are approaching the clearing together. I do hope you can handle this"

Laur spoke quietly, though the barb in the sentence was not echoed by the voice. To anyone but Fin Fin, it would sound as if Laur was genuinely concerned.

Standing by the banks of the lake, Addman turned to Cloud.

"Glad you could join me. I'm sure your abilities will be useful in this fight" He said to his team mate. He then took a hushed tone to try and prevent anyone who may be nearby from overhearing.

"Although, I wish these Corporate fools would show up already. You got a plan to lure them out? I think our easiest shot is to try and force them into this lake here, then you can use your lightning ability."

Scooping up a stone from the bank, Addman threw it at the water, skimming it across the surface as though it was somehow emphasising his point. It hit the surface four times before plopping into the lake. Watching it slip out of view, Addman decided that it had to be pretty deep, or at least deep enough to submerge your average sized human. He waited for either Cloud's response, or the Corporation to show up.

[Cloud]

*Drawing his Demon Sword very cautiously so as not to attract undue attention, Cloud whispered back to Addman.*

Sounds like a plan. Do you want to be the bait?

*He said the last part jokingly because he knew Addman would never agree to such action. He waited patiently for any type of movement, he didn't want to be caught off guard.*

[Till Doyle]

Unfortunately, or more so fortunately for Cloud and Addman, Till Doyle for all intense purposes is otherwise engaged. Unfortunately for Laur, she too doesn't currently know his whereabouts. However, his appointed co-second in command of the S.G.R. had been deemed more than capable of such situations as this.
Although, Fin Fin personally preferred to remain within buildings and other public areas, where there was less space, and therefore more opportunity for her to strike. This would be a case of getting as close as she could to the freaks they had come to defeat in Olympic combat. "I will cope. Do not falter. It would be unfortunate for either of us to fail? Wouldn't it?"

She heard a small splashing sound not far away. "If they have not moved, then they are awaiting us to move into a foolish position. I shall draw them out, and gain their focus of attacks. You should circle them and attack from the side, attacking from behind is far too obvious."

Not waiting for a response from her co-worker, she steps out into the open, out from behind a series of trees. Her feet silently pad through the grass. She could see both Cloud and Addman not far away, looking out towards the lake. Her small and demure figure is thrown into a mass of confusion as her traditional clothing is large and billowy. A red kimono reaching down past her feet, covered with extra layers and tassels make hr shape unusual. The make-up she is wearing and her pinned up hairstyle completely disguise her normal and usual appearance.

From a distance, it would look as if she is unarmed, bar a short sword on her left hip. She slowly begins to dance towards them, expecting both of them to be somewhat confused as to whom she is, and what she is doing.

The muppet noticed a strange figure walking, or rather dancing in their direction. Again, Addman whispered to his team mate.

"Looks like company. That is either an innocent, or some cheap, corporate trick. Either way, let's have fun killing it!"

Frankly, Addman was getting bored with the lack of action, so even if this wasn't a member of The Corporation, Addman felt that there'd be no harm in destroying it. After all, the Olympic Arenas are simulated environments, so anyone other than the combatants are simply non-existential, which seemed like a perfect justification to attack in his twisted mind. As long as he knew DP wouldn't swoop down and smite him for injuring an innocent, he'd do it.

"Cloud, how about you go into your spirit form and try and drive him or her into the lake?"

Positioning his new Plasma Rifle and aiming towards the dancing person, Addman keep them directly in his sights, ready to attack.

[Laur Doyle]

Laur didn't say a word, she tightly held her tongue as Fin Fin talked and then abruptly cut off communication with her. Even Till wouldn't have been so rude.

Laur however does circle the Arena until she comes to the side of the direction she had felt the two beings walking. If they still faced the same direction, she'd be located on their right.

The visor of Laurs Skin Suit emitted a soft humming as it was brought to life, displaying the HUD in front of her eyes. Laur reached back and brought the dual sniper/grenade launcher to bear, paying close attention to the screen in her helmet that showed the magnified view of the large weapon.

Laur crouched and hid as best as she could in the underbrush without obscuring her vision. She kept the weapon trained on Fin Fins position, and constantly swept the area for any signs of the two she could feel.

[Cloud]

*Cloud broke free of his body and silently crept along towards the dancing person. He was hoping to scare her into the lake by popping up at the most opportune moment. Provided of course she didn't spot him first. Meanwhile his body remained low, hoping not to get spotted.*

[Till Doyle]

Fin Fin sees something moving in the water and smiles. She slowly begins to move away from the water, to ensure that the distance between her and whatever is moving around is kept. She activates a small comm. device, contacting Laur on a secure frequency, "I have one in my sights. A blue thing. Can you see it?"

She stops dancing, something is not right here. She walks at a steady pace now, closing the gap between herself and Addman, slowly picking up speed as moves towards him, her run makes her look strange and billowy, material flapping around her and her body moving side to side in a strange motion. Still, nothing is heard as she runs, her soft padded shoes allowing her to move with grace, dignity and speed.

[Cloud]

*Cloud saw his chance. He hovered towards Fin Fin, and threw a lightning bolt in her direction. He had crept up on her side that was away from the lake in order to scare her into its murky depths. He didn't reckon the plan would work, but at least it would give Addman a chance to do something.*

[Laur Doyle]

"I see it"

Laur answered, keeping her view trained on the blue thing in the water. Laur frowned however as she felt one of them... split? Hmmm... Fin Fin might be in for more than either of them bargained for. Laur turned the scope over to where the one farthest away from her colleague was, she could just make out a hunched figure standing there.

Laur loaded a grenade into the launcher, took careful aim, and fired at the target. She wasn't about to let Fin Fin do all the work, and this might distract their opponents from her.
