Pet Food DANGER: If you have a Cat or Dog, READ THIS

This isn't Dojo related, but it's important enough to post up.

Over 60 million cans of wet pet food, pouches and cans, have been recalled in Canada and the US by Menu Foods Inc. There have been ten deaths of dogs in the States, and an unknown number of cases of kidney failure linked to canned food.

Same here.

Strange thing is we have a couple of cans of Iams in the cupboard.

I believe I shall be throwing them out now.

Well, that article would explain why my dog Suzie had stomach problems and died last year...

I just hope no one else at the Dojo's animals are affected.

*Sigh* I'm afraid that has put a slight damper on my evening. Suzie was my best friend, always loving, always caring. I'd had her since I was 2 years old.
She was the only creature, human or animal alike that I'd ever cried for when they died.

Er... What if your animal specifically has a problem with their mouth where they will actually starve to death if they cannot eat soft can foods, because they'll end up chewing their own tongue off if they attempt to chew up dry food?

You get some other brand, I suppose, or make your own pet food... luckily, I don't think this recall affected the UK, so you should be all right. It was for N.A. only, as far as I know.

The manufacturer still hasn't isolated the problem, as of yesterday.
