"Spirit?" Noten had been incorrect in assuming that this being was a god, and wondered how one would tell the difference. There was probably a very easy way to do so, he'd have to ask Liyao about it later. Noten had no idea how one exactly controlled mischief as a power, but it seemed that Arnott was equally confused in regards to his powers.
"I am Noten, the God of Nothing. It means that I can manipulate anything into nothing. Watch."
He pressed down with one of his hands as it began to glow white, and the ground dissolved around it. Not wanting to accidentally force his way back out of the Immortal Realm though, Noten made this a short demonstration, pulling his hand back after it had only gone down a few centimetres.
"That is a very small amount of my power. But I can use nothing in a wide variety of ways."
Nodding downwards to direct Arnott's attention to the perfect handprint that Noten had left in the ground.
"See here? Something has happened here..."
The God held his hand out over the hole as it glowed white once more. When he moved his hand away, the hole was gone.
"And now Nothing has happened."
He'd never really had to explain how his powers worked before - Liyao never really questioned him that deeply on the subject and his worshippers seemed to understand without much trouble. Buggane had often come to him to discuss theories and other possible uses for his abilities, and for the most part his discussions were very much mentally focused. It was easy for somebody who had a true understanding of nothing to follow, but it would be quite difficult for someone who doesn't.
"It is hard for me to explain how it all works. Though it goes against what I believe, if you think of Nothing as Something, you might find it easier to understand." |

Arnott watches as the strange being demonstrated his powers, his eyes growing slightly wide as the ground disappeared. This being might very well be able to destroy this realm, and that, would be a very, very bad thing. A small sigh of relief escaped Arnott's mouth as the ground re-appeared. Musing, "God of Nothing".
"I'd be careful showing off your powers here. You might upset a few of the older ones. How long have you been a God exactly. No-one's ever spoken about a God of Nothing." He drops down to all fours, and nothing short of two highly energetic bounds, he reaches Noten, and begins to sniff around him, being careful not to touch him in case he lost his nose or something horribly disasterous like that... _________________ Books are source of knowledge, knowledge source of power, power is source of corruption, corruption is crime.Reading books will get you imprisoned!

"Older ones?" Noten had no idea as to why anybody would be upset by his powers - according to Liyao, many other Immortals possessed similar control over their namesakes. Or at least, they were supposed to. Arnott quickly continued on to a new line of questioning, making Noten have to focus to keep up.
"I don't know how long I've been a God for, but this is my first time in the Immortal Realm." Noten answered in a rather vague manner. Noticing that the spirit seemed to be uneasy with approaching him, he continued. "You don't need to worry about me erasing you by the way, it's an ability that requires concious effort."
Noten wondered what else he should ask the Spirit of Mischief next. Thinking for a moment, he recalled that he didn't really have any specific plan as to what he should do once he arrived here. This was probably going to be a mission of learning more than anything else, since Arnott seemed to know how things worked here. "Spirit of Mischief, I don't know much about the Immortal Realm, but you seem to. I'd appreciate it if you could tell me how things work here." _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

DP entered the Immortal Realm right in front of Noten and Arnott.
"Arnott, who in the worlds is this joke and why are you bringing guest to the Immortal Realm?" DP asks as his rift closes behind him.
"Better yet, I don't have time to deal with you, I've got serious issues to fix." _________________

((Sorry to bump such an old thread, I just need to wrap up Noten's appearance here.))
Noten suddenly felt himself silently choking, as though the atmosphere around him had suddenly solidified. What was happening? This person gave off such pressure, far more so than the tiny creature that he'd just been conversing with. Was this the aura of a God?
It was too much for Noten to handle, too much of Something for the God of Nothing. He didn't need to breathe but he felt as though he was suffocating in the mere presence of this person, that they were smothering his very existance...
It didn't take long for Noten to conclude that he needed to leave this place, and fast. "I... I must leave..." He whispered in a low voice to the Spirit of Mischief, making sure that the tiny Arnott was a safe distance from him. Once he was certain of this, Noten burned through the ground beneath him with white flames, disappearing from the Immortal Realm and sealing his exit behind him.
He was back in his Temple, safe and secure. He would go and question Liyao further on the Immortal Realms and attempt to prepare himself a little better before attempting another trip there. _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...
