Considering I am not tat much of a geek, and, well, I know nothing about coding or programming or anything and had no idea what the hell he was banging on about, it was still somewhat awful... I wasn't sure whether to laugh, or wince in pain as the stressed vocals assaulted my ear drums...
And the camera work was shoddy too... _________________ Books are source of knowledge, knowledge source of power, power is source of corruption, corruption is crime.Reading books will get you imprisoned!

Geeks trying to be cool is a contradiction in terms.
That song reminds me a lot of Weird Al's Its All About The Pentiums. _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

They're not doing it to be cool, just to have fun/make people laugh. They've got to be <.< _________________ ...And that's how it ended. |

What on earth if #kill-9 mean, anyway? The sooner that is explained, the sooner I shall understand just how random this is. _________________

Kill is a POSIX terminal command for killing a process (program). Normally you'd use kill -15, which is like closing a program in windows by pressing the X button. However, Kill -9 closes the program immediatly, kinda like using Ctrl-Alt-Delete to close down a program. This means it doesn't get a chance to stop what it was doing and clean up after itself so to speak, which is bad because it can cause problems in the future if it was doing important stuff (like defragmentation and other geeky things that you probably don't care about).
Of course, DP or Cloud'd probably do a better job at answering your question, they're the ones doing CS degrees. _________________
Bah, Give me 2 days and a load of napalm...
*Walks in wearing an extremely navy blue suit*
I never learnt such things on my course, mostly because I'm doing a Games Programming degree, thus I only learn how to make things look pretty via shaders and other things that are only useful in games. Well, I'm only half right on that front, I did learn a few programming languages, and a few other boring things but I never listened to those. Besides, most of it was all windows based.
On another note, why did I come in wearing a navy blue suit? No real clue really apart from getting your hopes up that I was going to explain it better. Well, now that's out of the way I'm going to head off and do some uni work.
*mumbles about there being too much work for him to do* _________________

Let the real computer person handle this.
As Net said, Kill is a posix command (ie one used in linux or unix) to stop a program.
what the -9 argument does is generates an interrupt to the processor to kill said program. This is useful if your program is locked (think infinite loop), because true to it's name, an interrupt interrupts the processor activity until whatever subroutine made to handle it completes it's task.
in the -9 case, this interrupt pauses the infinite loop, allowing the processor a chance to process the kill command to stop said program.
And guess what, Cloud can't even touch my 1337'ness.
Edit: By the way Net, I'm a Computer Engineering student (CPE). CS people can only code. I can build the computer then code it to do my bidding. _________________

Well, at least my coding skills pwn. Oh my god, I can't believe I just said that. Ahem, lets all celebrate this occasion by using excessive amounts of brain bleach.
*10 seconds later*
Umm, who are you people? Get out of my house! On your way out please tell me who I am.
((Too much brain bleach possibly... )) _________________

I'd make a witty and appropriate comment, but you'd both kill me, gut me, string me up by my spleen and run me over with a buick. _________________
Bah, Give me 2 days and a load of napalm...
