Got a special leash for one of my two lizards. Took him outside, and he started acting up about halfway through the neighborhood, so I took him home. Now he keeps staring at the leash.

He's so cute! Very Happy *squeals* I LOVE bearded dragons. His name is Tsuyoi, meaning Strong, and I just call him Yoyo. His cagemate's name is Hanabi, meaning Fireworks.

Hey all! Only on for a minute (on someone else's computer), but break's going great! Just rain and dogs- no drama whatsoever!

Bearded dragons you say? Do they make good pets? Are they fun to walk? What is having a bearded dragon like?

Oh yeah, if you can handle cleaning the cage once a week and feeding live food, they're great pets. They are relatively easy to breed in captivity, and so long as you don't keep males together, having two in the same cage is no problem at all.

They're very tolerant of handling, and some even seem to enjoy it. They're not picky eaters at all, and they will accept both vegetable matter and meat (non-Granny Smith apples are a favorite). But there are downsides.

They can get nearly two feet long when full grown, so buying a cage for them can be quite expensive. If you don't clean their tank out at least once evey week, it will start to REALLY stink. Being from the Australian Outback, they need to have a pretty hot environment (80 degrees at least. And lastly, the biggest problem new beardie keepers face, is the fact that a baby beardie can cost sixty freakin' dollars at a pet store (private breeders cost MUCH less).

And yes, they are fun to walk. Well, I don't actually WALK mine, as he is a jumper, a runner, and a fighter. I just keep him on my shoulder and walk around the neighborhood.

Having a beardie is a huge responsibility, but it's very worth the trouble.

And now, while my mom watches V for Vendetta for the fifth time, I get addicted to yet another anime.

Haibane Renmei.

It's about the Haibane, charcoal-winged angels.

Very crazily awesome.

URGENT REPLY NEEDED wrote:
FROM THE DESK OF MR MADUGO.
BILL AND EXCHANGE MANAGER
FOREIGN REMITTANCE DEPT.
THE AFRICAN BANK (BOA)
OUAGADOUGOU BURKINA FASO .

MY DEAREST ONE ,
I am the manager of bill and exchange at the foreign remittance department
of The African Bank. I saw your contacts in INTERNET SEARCH,After much
consideration i decided to write you since I cannot be able to see you face
to face at first. I will like you to take your time to read this mail
carefully. I did not mean to embarrasse you with my business proposal but I
seriously need your assistance. Please this is a confidential matter and it
requires urgency.

In my department we discovered an abandoned sum of U.S$12.5m dollars (Twelve
million five hundred thousand USD) in an account that belongs to one of our
foreign customer who died along with his entire family into the World Trade
Center on September 11,sept 2001 (AMERICA ATTACK).

Since we got information about his death, we have been expecting his next of
kin to come over and claim his money because we cannot release it unless
some body applies for it as next of kin or relation to the deceased as
indicated in our banking guidlines and laws, but unfortunately we learnt
that all his supposed next of kin or relation died alongside with him at
11,sept 2001 (AMERICA ATTACK). leaving nobody behind for the claim. The
owner of this account is Mr JOSEPH. F. GRILLO, foreigner and he is the
Manager Of petrol chemical service, a chemical engineer by Profession. He
died in world trade center as a victim of the September 11,2001 Incident
that befall the United State of America , the bank has made series of
efforts to contact any of the relatives to claim this money but without
success, you can confirm through this
website:http://www.september11victims.com/september11Victims/VictimInfo.asp?ID=1260
I now decided to make this business proposal to you and release the money to
you as the next of kin or relation to the deceased for safety andsubsequent
disbursement since nobody is coming for it and I don't want this money to go
into the bank treasury as unclaimed bill. The banking law and guidine here
stipulates that if such money remained unclaimed after Seven years, the
money will be tranfered into the bank treasurey as unclaimed bill I
therefore agree that 40%of this money will be for you as foreigner partner,
in respect to the provision of a foreign account, 10% will be set aside for
expenses incured during the business and 50% would be for me.

There after I will visit your country for disbursement according to the
percentages indicated. Therefore, to enable the immediate transfer of this
fund to you as arranged, you must apply first to the bank as relation or
next of kin to the deceased indicating your bank name, your bank account
number, your private telephone and fax number for easy and effective
communication and location where in the money will be remitted.

I will not fail to bring to your notice that this transaction is hitch-free
and that you should not entertain any atom of fear as all required
arrangements have been made for the transfer. You should contact me
immediately as soon as you recieve this letter. Trusting to hear from you
immediately.
Yours faithfully,
MR MADUGO.

*Cough*
Yes, I believe this. The lack of spelling, grammar, and other such things really makes this believable. Anybody have any suggestions of what I should do to mess around with this person? Wink

Barter with the kind fellow, 40% is not enough for the work you would have to do to get this money. He should get 10% of said money's and no more! Not checked that website [I'm scared to] but I don't think being shown a list of Sept 11th victims is really confirmation. Mr Magudo, you just selected that person randomly from a list of victims didn't you? You sick, sick person.

Ask him if you can get the money in some random currency that doesn't exist, Cornies for instance. I want one million Cornies! Wink These people could at least make their emails better, I mean how long does it take to stick a random logo in there and to format the text a little?

The lack of Wolf's Rain volumes for download below vol 6 is makin me frown Sad. I need vol 4 and 5 before I can watch that!

As you all may have noticed, I was away for quite a few days. Since I and my bf both had holidays off in the same week, I've pretty much been staying with him the whole time. And we were often using the net for other things, like Xbox Live, hence my lack of RPing.

He got a PS3 too. Virtua Fighter 5 is very cool, even the clothes get damp. I'm finding Lion is my type of character, so I've made a file with him and have been ranked 1st dan Very Happy.

Resistance: Fall of Man is however, very very disappointing. If you're after an FPS, go for it. If you're after an in-depth FPS that offers that little something that makes you go 'I need to play this game" don't touch it with a barge pole. Seriously, I played through level 2 after bf was on leve 1 and I was bored.

Got Sonic on the Wii too, which is very very cool once you get used to the different controls.

It was his birthday Thursday so I arranged a party for him Friday, and he brought both the Wii and the PS3 along so people could play them as well as listen to awesome rock music and have a drink at the bar (I'd hired a function room y'see).

You know what most people spent the night on? Wii Sports, on Tennis. No joke.

I got a bit drunk too, ended up 'passed out' on a table with my arms curled round my head while I complained it was waaaay too hot. It wasn't that hot (I'm told) but I was sweating and dizzy.

And to top it off, I had a strange and slightly disturbing dream a couple days ago.

Hello everyone!

I havn't posted here for a while, out of laziness, and now I'm going to be away a while longer due to being at New York for the weekend to see the Allman Brothers Band.

Asking you to not burn his house down while he's away, MDude.

I made friends with a squirrel today. Very Happy

So I go outside with some popcorn and my drawing pad, right? As I'm sitting at out picnic table in the backyard, racking my brain for inspiration, this fuzzy grey squirrel jumps up ont eh table and stares at me.

Being the sucker for rodents I am, I throw him a piece of popcorn.

The little guy starts munching on it, and I threw him a few pieces more.

This went on until I was- sadly -out of popcorn. D:

I immediately dubbed him Silver and went back to drawing. He didn't move an inch, though. He just sat and sat, staring at me with those giant black eyes...

It was kinda creepy, but tomorrow I'm definitely going outside again. (WHICH I ALMOST NEVER DO Surprised )

Guess what?

Shaon's back from Memphis/Nashville, with a full trip runup.

Tuesday, April 12

6:00 AM -- Group will meet at La Belle Middle School.
This was pretty uneventful. We were too tired to care, since we woke up an hour before we usually do.
6:30 AM -- Motorcoaches will arrive. Pack and load coaches.
This was also relatively uneventful. Our driver was a nice old guy named Wes.
9:00 PM -- Welcome to Memphis - Home of the Blues & Birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll!
Arrive and check into the Wyndham Garden Hotel.

This was actually at 12:30 AM. Whoops.
This is the first time I met my roommates, Courtney, Angela, and Amy. They're decently random.

Friday, April 13
8:00 AM -- Full American breakfast at the hotel.
Wyndham Garden is a good hotel, but not as awesome as Gaylord Opryland, which we stayed at afterward. Decent food, though the eggs tasted nasty on Sunday.
9:00 AM -- Board the bus and travel to Graceland.
This was actually at 9:30, since Shamus, Wolfgang, Jarad, and Cody trashed their room and stayed up all night. They had to clean the bus, inside and out.
9:30 AM -- Have a rockin' good time enjoying the fantastic Platinum tour of THE KING's home.
The tour features the Mansion with digital audio, the Auto Museum, Elvis' Custom Jets and the Sincerely Elvis Exhibit. Have lunch at the Chrome Grill and then have fun shopping at the various shops on the grounds.

Graceland was rather boring. We didn't get to see Sincerely Elvis, since we ran out of time from the group cleaning the bus. We also overloaded the Chrome Grille, which was awesome. They had a working jukebox that played only Elvis tunes.
1:00 PM -- Depart for the National Civil Rights Museum.
We were on time this time Very Happy
Enjoy Museum housed in the Lorraine Motel, site of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
This was a somewhat depressing, if not somewhat dysfunctional museum. There's a lot of pictures of people dying, and also the infamous "I AM a man." shirt. I was tempted to buy it just to annoy people >.>
3:30 PM -- Load bus and depart for Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum.
On time, though this is the first time several people have walked down a hill. Floridians are depressing.
4:00 PM -- Group will tour the museum, which tells of the history and legacy of people and musicians working in the Delta and Memphis region from the 1930's - 1970's and the styles of music that became known as the "Memphis South."
I gave up on listening to the audio tour here. There were giant statues of balls outside, so we sat on them and froze to death. It was awesome.
5:00 PM -- Load bus and depart for Ride the Ducks of Memphis.
Later on, we found out that they were RIGHT ACROSS THE DAMN STREET.
5:30 PM -- Group will see Memphis from lands and water aboard one amazing vehicle. Discover the history, humor and heroes of Memphis while cruising on the Mighty Mississippi River! Entertaining captains narrate this fascinating fun expedition. Departure for cruise is around 6:00 PM.
We didn't get to go in the water, since it was raining like it will never rain again, and there was lightning directly overhead. Was still fun, though.
7:15 PM -- Load the bus and travel to the Peabody Place Entertainment and Retail Center. This 300,000 square foot mall features and exciting variety of entertainment-oriented retailers, unique specialty shops and national favorites like The Gap, Ann-Taylor Loft, Tower Records & Video, and Starbucks.
Big place, small selection. The stores were 99% clothing oriented. Then there was the starbucks stand.
8:00 PM -- Gather in the Peabody Center at Jillian's Entertainment Complex. Group will have dinner at this fun restaurant. Jillian's offers amazing games, a video cafe, virtual bowling, redemption prize center, and more...
Jillian's was fun. They had DDR Mix 3, for christ's sake. The dance pad sucked, though.
9:30 PM -- Return to the hotel.

Saturday, April 14
8:00 AM -- Full American Breakfast at the hotel.
Someone trashed the fifth floor of the hotel. The staff blamed it on us (we were taped into the room, though) and the elevators were out of commission for the rest of the time there, which was annoying, since none of the stairs go to the first floor. On that note, this morning, a chaperon and I (Mrs. Morrison, more on her later) went down the stairs. The first floor door has a fire alarm attached to it. Said chaperon's all like "Oh, they disconnected it", pushes the door open, AND THE ALARM GOES OFF. I'm never leaving her alone about that Very Happy
9:00 AM -- Depart for the University of Memphis. Arrive on campus of the University of Memphis, School of Music and prepare for a workshop with Dr. Craig Williams, Director of Boards, at the University and Dr. Randal Rushing, one of the music instructors on campus. Be ready for a wonderful music experience working and making music with these renowned musicians. After the workshop, enjoy a brief tour of the campus.
God, this was the worst part of the trip. We were going to be in the second-largest recording studio in the city, but they were double booked, and we were stuck playing in the lobby. It was REALLY LOUD. Recording came out excellent, though. I'm going to get a link to it as soon as possible. No tour, since it was cold out and we were in thin t-shirts.
11:30 AM -- Board the bus and depart for B.B. King's Blues Club, the world's premiere blues address.
Enjoy lunch in this famous blues guitarist's restaurant. Be ready for a down-home Southern meal. Yum!!

Some band played. They were good. Also picked up a pick guitar pick for Al. Afterwards we wandered around Beale Street, and I picked up the best hat ever. It's like a jester hat, except with this tail in the back that is COVERED IN SPIKES. We were supposed to go to Mud Island River Park and the Mississippi River Museum, but it closed before we got there, so we skipped directly to~
5:30 PM -- Return to the hotel and get ready for dinner on the River Queen Cruise.
Relatively uneventful.
6:45 PM -- Board bus and travel to the loading dock for the Memphis Queen Line Riverboats.
At this point, our bus driver (A different one, Bill) proved how awesome he was. He managed to turn the bus around on a steep hill that was paved with cobblestones.
7:00 PM -- Board one of the fun riverboats and enjoy a fantastic evening of Memphis style barbecue and entertainment. The dinner cruise will begin around 7:30 PM.
The Memphis Queen was fun. They had an excellent band. But... dun dun dun, emo teenager rant:

I was sitting by myself at my happy little three-seat table, as the rest of the group was filing in. We were about to launch, when I hear the band director (Mrs. Noon) call out "There's some seats over here." and points to my table, and lo and behold, the people that sit are none other than Mrs. Morrison and her son, Robert.

Now, Robert and I are in a similar position in the band hierarchy. I met him at the last band trip, where I just saw him put together his instrument (Bass Clarinet) and commented "It looks like the illegitimate child between a saxophone and a clarinet." He replied with "Don't make me hurt you." And thus we ignored each other for the rest of the year. Then Heartland happened, and he was also listed to play. He managed to BREAK HIS HAND AND STILL PLAY which to this day still amazes me, but I digress. Anyway, I found out more about his place in the hierarchy. He's in the same position as myself, except he's not pleased. He was annoying the popular kids. Anyway some other assorted things happened (Swamp Cabbage, in which he spilled my awesome soda THREE TIMES) and apparently the entire band is attempting to pressure us into being a couple. Halp >|

Anyway yes, pretty much uneventful, except for WHEN I FELL AND SLAMMED MY LEG INTO A RUSTY BOX. That was painful.

10:00 PM -- Return to the hotel.

Next post: Nashville!

Since you people love me so much, I'm going to give you pictures of the first and the morning of the third days. Afterwards, my camera committed suicide. Which is a shame, since I could've taken video of Shamus and company washing the bus.

Morning -- First day. Us in the band room, being sleepy.

Eventually they got bored enough to start vandalizing the whiteboard. On the far left is Robert. On the right is Wolfgang and Cody.
I think the arm is Mr. Gatch's.

This is Allyson, the only other person to take photos using my camera. Also on the right is ROBERT AGAIN JESUS CHRIST GET OUT OF MY DAMN PICTURES. If you're curious, his shirt says "Find X," with an angle on it. X is circled, and "Here it is" is on the bottom. Funny the first time.

This here is BRAXTON'S HEAD because he got in the way.

The back end of our bus.

This is how the inside of the bus was for the ENTIRE TIME. Except more hyper.

And this is Kenya, the hyperactive six-year-old daughter of Mrs. Noon.

Third day coming as soon as I find the damn memory card.

Third day pictures!

The bus while at Wyndham Garden.

This is Suzzana, who is mental.

This is Bill, our bus driver.

This is a trash can.

This is the guy who did a workshop with us. Also the heads of several band members, including ROBERT GDGFSGSDF

And here is ShaonDad, who was filming all of this.
The Elvis impersonator is Trey, who was... impersonating Elvis. We called him "Mexican Elvis."

The band pictures. I'm on the bottom right.

Told you Suzzana was mental.
