Tag Team Round 1:Panther and Swix vs Mitsukai14 and Coolpika

((Arena: It is a vast green land, with the occasional tree spotted about, and a forest just on the edge of the green plain circling around from the right to the left, in a semi-circular fashion. To the right is a large lake, several metres deep, and at least twenty feet in length and thirty feet in width. Around the plain there are a few boulders spread about randomly. There are most likely rocks and stones spread around somewhere.

New Ruling: All parties are allowed in the arena at the same time, rather than actually tagging in and out. Use this wisely.

It was a hot day for an Olympic match. Coolpikaaa had camped out in one of the trees, and prepared for his battle. He had readied his electrical attacks and improved his physical ones. The pikachu knew it was going to be a great day.
Settling high up in the leaves, coolpikaaa stood ready, twitching his ears to any sound.

Neko's white ears twitched nervously. The water's constant rippling was annoying him.

And, he'd always been jumpy during fights, especially when he had to use the Werecat's abilities. Thankfully, it was a asleep.

For now.

The ivory-haired boy was outfitted simply- blue jeans, grey shirt. 'Don't overdo it,' the Cat had told him, 'You'll need to be flexible and comfortable for this fight. You can't hinder yourself with anything complicated.'

He, for once, took the beast's advice. The main reason behind this was that he really wanted to win this fight- people had bet, he had bet, and there were two particular bodies he wanted to impress. Whichever ends up liking me more, I'll choose. He kept telling himself. Him, or her.


((I believe only one other person know who the 'him' is... >> << And no, I won't tell. ))

Tala raised her snout slightly as she sniffed the air in order to catch the scent of their opponents. The werewolf had come in already in Were form, wanting to make sure she didn't have to waste valuable time changing during the fight. Unless that is it was necessary.

In her Were form Tala was 7 foot tall, and her body was covered in silver, brown tinted fur. For all intents and purposes she was a bipedal wolf, her legs were that of a wolfs but the shape had changed to allow her to stand upright. Her arms were quite long and strong, and her hands had long claws on the ends of them. Her face was that of a wolf's with yellow, brown tinted eyes and large, pointed ears that were pricked forwards to catch any sound.

Talas examination of the scents in the air brought all the flavours she'd expected. Grass, trees, water and the multitude of wild animal scents that pervaded everything.

There was something else as well, something that definitely did not belong. It reminded her of a rodent, yet was coming from a high tree.

"Neko, can you smell what I can? Someone's up in the trees"

She asked the werecat next to her.

"Neko, can you smell what I can? Someone's up in the trees"

Coolpikaaa smiled at this statement.
It was exactly what he wanted.
Pushing against the tree branch, the pikachu let out one of the biggest bolts he could as of now. It ripped through the tree top, lighting leaves on fire and breaking branches. It arched just as it was meant to and flew straight at the opponents with amazing power and speed.

Nynaeve repressed the urge to groan at this new installment of events. He couldn't wait could he? Just had to goad them into attacking rather than going with the original plan... Her task required too much concentration to be distracted now.

In the safety of the thicket she stood poised to let her arrow loose, and she had been so for a long time. Countless hours of practice had trained her to hold a ready postition. To do this- especially with a master's long oak bow which was very difficult to pull the string back far enough for maximum power and distance- was not an easy task. Like the arrow already nocked in the bow, the arrows in her quiver were diamond tipped. Each arrow had a griffon feather for fletching which would help the arrow fly true.

She had chosen not to wear her invisibility cloak because it would have been more of a hinderance than of use in this situation. Instead she only wore her usual long sleeved tunic and leggings made of sheded dragon skin, amour that would not get in the way of her movement. Her alliance with them had not been without perks. Tucked away in her sleeves were a pair of enchanted, amethyst encrusted throwing daggers with silver plating.

Adapting to the change in plans, she turned so that the tip of the arrow was not pointing directly at the opposition but rather slightly off and in the air. She let loose and quickly readied the next arrow. Almost mechanically, she let arrow after arrow loose, a brigade of arrows all flying at various points around Neko and Talas. If they jumped, they would be jumping into the path of the arrows. If they stayed, the lightning would hit them.

This might actually work... she thought to herself as she ran towards a new location in the forest.

Neko's feline reflexes caused him to roll out of the way of the electric bolt.

He soon wished he hadn't.

Several arrows pierced his left side- shoulder, forearm, shin. The sudden pain woke the sleeping beast.

~Well, well, well,~ The Cat sung lazily, an amused tone tingeing his voice. ~You couldn't survive one hour without me?~

~Shut up!~ Neko hissed, already ripping the arrows out of their wounds. He really didn't give a damn if the bled or not. That's what Werecat abilities were for. Especially minor regeneration. An arm wouldn't grow back if he lost it, but it meant his throbbing wounds would spew crimson a little less.

He stood, both ivory ears swerving around in search for the attacker.

~I'm going after the person with arrows, okay?~ He said in mindspeak, already breaking into a run. ~I'll try and chase him or her over this way.~

Neko assumed a quadruped stance, using all four limbs to run. His nose flared at the smell of the woman, guiding him over to her. He was more of a close-range type of person; get close, get a few slashes in, go Werecat, end o' story.

Tala moved with a quickness unexpected for something her size as the lightning bolt headed towards them. It was the trade-off she'd had for her relatively weak strength. Weak for a werewolf that is.

As it missed and struck the ground, Tala yelped in pain as arrows struck her arms and sides. It felt like she'd just jumped into a living thorn bush, but she was pretty sure it wasn't as bad as what that lightning might have felt like.

Tala nodded to Neko after hear his message while she growled and attempted to dodge the hail of arrows. Looks like she got the rodent, and she had just the wake up call for him.

Being careful not to look up so the arrows didn't hit her in the eyes, the werewolf charged full pelt at the tree Coolpikaaa had occupied, her fur flying in the wind. Small droplets of blood escaped where some of the arrow shafts had hit her, and some of them were still stuck there, but Tala didn't seem to care. They'd be healed in half an hour at the most, so long as she got the arrowheads out.

Still growling, the werewolf rammed the tree with her shoulder hard enough to send a violent judder through the large plant and start a tear along its trunk. She hoped to knock the Pikachu down, but just in case that didn't work she continued pushing on the trunk, bending it back with her inhuman strength so it would eventually break and topple over.

BANG!

Something hit the tree Coolpikaaa was in, causing him to immediately fall off the branch. As he sailed downward, twigs caught in his yellow fur causing small scratches and pain. He desperately grabbed for a large branch to break his fall, but instead, it snapped right off.

Coolpikaaa hit the ground and spent a few precious seconds trying to get back on his feet. When he finally realized what was going on, he noticed the large chunk of wood in his paws and without thinking swung at the opponent.

"OW!"

Tala said, her voice sounding something of a cross between a yelp and a humans speech. Coolpikaaa had managed to hit her knee with that branch of his, and the werewolf stumbled away from the it. As the pressure she'd put on it was suddenly realeased, the plant sprung back towards them and caused a tear to form on the opposite side.

Tala quickly turned her head to look at the small rodent before she raised one of her clawed hands and swiped at him with it as she stepped towards Coolpikaaa.

Coolpikaaa was swiped by the claw. The cuts quickly stung and caused him to fall back into the dirt. He rolled to the side and struggled to get back up, the whole time knowing that the natural static in his fur would give any person physically hitting him quite a shock.

Nynaeve paid no attention to the swirl of brown's and greens rushing past her. The same went with the occasional low branches that somehow always managed to inconvienently whack her in the face and the bloodly scratches she had acquired. None of this was important at the moment... and how could they be when she knew that she was being chased? The tell-tale crackle of twigs and leaves and thundering steps were all the clues she needed. And it was getting louder. That fact was a good indication that the persuer was getting much closer that she liked.

Shoot! What to do now...

Spotting a boulder on the ground looming ahead, she hurriedly formulated a plan.

"Tsuchi seishou tame mai kyuujo... Ishi Shouheki!"

She lunged forward while reaching her arms out. Using the boulder as a vault, she did a front handspring with a double twist off the boulder. Then, after landing on her feet, she performed a backflip back onto the boulder. Now in a crouched position, she remained so as the boulder literally grew. Like something out of a horror movie with the undead poking its arm out of its grave, the boulder continued to shoot out of the ground and morped into a sheer, completely smooth, 180 degree vertical wall almost twice the size of the average tree in the forest. Not only did the wall grow vertically, it also expanded horizontally across the land, plowing its way through the forest towards Coolpikaaa and Tala and beginning to circle a one kilometer radius around Neko. The width of the wall was wide enough for her to walk across. Not daring to waste any time waiting for the wall to finish growing, she began to sprint across the top back towards Coolpikaaa and Tala.

Neko skidded to a halt, nearly slamming into the wall that seemed to spring from nowhere.

He couldn't help but grin as he watched Nynaeve spring back towards Coolpikaaa and his fellow werecreature.

Looks like I should follow suit... He mused, white fur bursting from his pores and ripping all across his body. Slicing his shirt off- they were hindering the growth of larger muscles -he admired the dagger-like claws he'd gained. This anthropomorphic form couldn't hold a candle to the Cat's true form, but it was extremely useful.

Neko examined the wall for a moment- it seemed extremely smooth, but maybe... He slammed one paw into it, digging his claws in as far as they could pierce.

The rock didn't give much grip, but enough for the werecat to scramble up the wall with mild ease. When he reached the top, he gave silent thanks for the long tail that gave a feline balance, and continued pursuing his enemy.

Coolpikaaa just avoided being crushed by a very long rock.
Looking up, he saw Nynaeve running along the top, and thought to himself that it was about time she came.

Then he saw the monster chasing her.

Thinking fast, Coolpikaaa prepared for an agility attack, hoping it would get him up to the top of the wall. He quickly pushed down and faded from view than re-appeared right near the edge of the rock. He quickly began to fall the log way to the ground and barely managed to grab the edge.
Coolpikaaa hung there by his paws and instantly thoughts of him going splat on the ground filled his head.

Tala yelped as her claws and hand got a fistful of static after successfully connecting with Coolpikaaas body, and the werewolf quickly jerked her furry hand away from the electric mouse.

The werewolf's ears lay flat back against her head and all her fur bristled, although it was probably more to do with the static than her actually raising her hackles.

Before she could go for another attack, one to grab the branch off him, a solid wall of rock came hurtling towards them and she barely managed to jump out of the way before it would have hit her after the Pikachus leap.

Tala reached up and tore a branch off the tree as Coolpikaaa jumped up and hung on to the wall, she needed something to swing that wouldn't conduct electricity, and a wooden branch would do just fine.

Seeing that the wall was twice as high as any tree, the werewolf quickly scaled the one they'd been using. It teetered as she neared the top, clawed hands digging into the bark. She could smell Neko and the other getting closer to them too, and from the scent of it the rodent had got to the top of the rock wall and was staying stationary there.

Tala carefully backed away from the wall near the top of the tree while it teetered and threatened to throw her off, until she had moved as far as she trusted the torn trees trunk to hold her weight. Tala crouched on a thick branch as she opened her muzzle and put the branch she intended to use as a weapon in it. After closing her jaws over it firmly enough that it would not fall out, but gently enough that it wouldn't splinter the werewolf began to sprint along the length of the branch, back towards the wall.

As Talas powerful legs pumped, the tree began to bend in the direction she was going. Just before she reached the middle of the tree, where branch met trunk, the large plant broke and the top of it toppled towards the wall as Tala leaped.

Her hands outstretched, the werewolf slammed into the wall, her claws scrabbled for purchase on the top of the ledge before she barely managed to pull herself up, clawed feet scratching against the side of the wall.

When Tala stood up, she found she and Neko had both Coolpikaaa and the other one, the human caught in between the two of them.

Since Tala was not a cat so balancing was not so easy for her, and this wall was high enough to cause some serious damage, she began to change. She dropped to all fours as the joints in her back legs twisted and morphed so they supported a more quadrupedal style, as her hands shrank to paws and her shoulder and neck went through smaller changes.

Tala was now in her full Wolf form, which should help her more with her balance.
