Seeing that the thing that had been chasing her had not yet found her, Liessa peeks from her hiding place, and watches as all of the feet run by, stomping here and there, some walking backwards or sideways to avoid crashing into othr people, or to just avoid other people full stop.
A simple "Enter" from a womans voice is spoken as Laur rapped on the door, but it didn't appear to matter, as the oor was already opening. Leaning forwards, her hands clasped, a smile fits itself onto her face. The time she had waited for this very moment had come to an end, and she was going to enjoy every last bit of it.

Her hair is down, neatly combed, hanging around her shoulders like a black velvet curtain. She has no make up on, her own features supporting her better than average looks. Her fingernails are slightly long, but are short enough to function in an office environment. Her clothing is the most changed feature about her. She is wearing a black pinstripe suit, although the only visible part of her body is her upper body, she is in fact wearingsensible trousers, that widen as they go down her legs, completed by a pair of plain, flat black shoes.
In her tiny accented voice, which, from behind a desk carries more power than most people realise, "Welcome back Laur. I hope journey was good?" Fin Fin smiles pleasantly, her eyes appearing closed.

Laur feels the barest hint of a scowl tugging at her lips, wanting her to show just how she felt at seeing this woman in here. But she didn't, she guarded herself and her expression, although she allowed the urgency and need to complete what she was doing quickly to show. Hopefully, those assigned their tasks wouldn't slow down or sway. Laur hoped even more that that Violet would have enough sense not not to show up now. This could make things difficult.

"Fin Fin" Laurs voice gave nothing away, a mere colleague talking to another "I regret to say the journey was most unpleasant, and I will be leaving soon"

It was a statement, not a question. Laurs bright blue eyes looked over Fin Fins features, taking in everything from her completely changed looks to her apparently pleasant smile. Till must have had a very, very good reason for keeping Fin Fin after all these years, even after Laur had cut her throat open. Most others, she knew, didn't live very long afterwards. It was the fate that had awaited her if she had lost.

But that was past now, and now Fin Fin sat behind a desk in front of her. Till had been keeping a lot of secrets she'd never expected, and this was one of them.

"I assume you called me here for a reason?"

Laur asked, a little sharply. She certainly would not have phrased it that way if this was Till she was talking to, but then he wasn't here and she certainly wouldn't have risked coming here if he was. If that were the case, the Corporations buildings in Blackstar would have seemed a little more welcoming. But then she'd have had to deal with Michael, and that wouldn't have been pleasant either.

She ran, screaming. A little girl friehtened by a stuffed naimal

Flammae d'Infer! Bowdlerized, saccharine fairy tales must have robbed her of more than a good taste in literature!

She scurried over and around monk and gargoyle with equal childish indifference. The Owl's gizzard sunk.

    This could bode ill.
How should her father react to an accident?

With cautious, muffled wingbeats, the Owl followed.

She was in the hollow of a tree. Given her fahters resource acquisition scheme involving late-game clear cutting practises, the Owl found this refuge of hers oddly amusing.

He did not know what to say or do. Should he speak again, she would only fly - into the arms of a gargoyle or worse. The Bird simply sat and ruminated....until -

I see you.

Later on he would go on to describe how the sensation felt like. He eventually say something along the lines of 'passing a whole watermelon through one's colon, bottled and refined and pumped through one's skull at 20 kiloliters/second.' For now he rocked back and forth, with his head under his wing.

"Danté's hell. Being absrect never felt so concrete. Damn the gods to their heaven - leave the Earth for us!"

A scurrying along the branch and up his spine alerted the Bird of another servant's arrival.

"Lordship?" It breathed.

"Please accompany the girl. Try to interact with her; play with her like one of Beatrix Potter's dolls. See what she does, I suspect we may win her over through some a tea party with the three bears or equal tripe. I have things to do at the Grail Castle. Ominous things to do..."

"Yes, my Lord."

Tiny pink feet scampered away all too happily.

He took flight again. The holy man knew something or had something; it was a thing of great importance. That much the Owl was certain of. Why else would a moderate be so extreme?

He was getting stuppid now. Clumsy. Perhaps the psychic depth charge of a god's speech had knocked the sense out of him. His wings were still noiseless: they always were, so long as someone was there to know that down-tipped wings would never bely noise or ruffle the air. But perhaps he had forogteen of grace and form and elegance. Not that it mattered. his mind was too fevered with the thoughts of what was and is and could be.

A game of chess on the last playground of the gods.

And so this is how the Owl came to the Sanctuary came.

However, based on my characters development as so far, I thought it would be apparent that these events take place after both The Labyrinth, and your tremors thread. However, for not clearly noting it in my first post, I apologise to everyone involvedin this roleplay.

My thanks go to Dark Psycho for clearing up this situation with the relics.
Now let us continue partaking in this roleplay.))

((Don't worry too much about it Father Mac, I know how hard it is to keep up with a big RP Razz. And I don't mind so much about the name confusion either, it happens quite often.

I gathered that it took place after the Tremors thread, since I was using my characters as they are after that, but I never specified any kind of time period for my thread either, so I wasn't sure how yours factored in. Fictional time is confusing XD.

Thanks for clearing up the confusion about the relics too DP, it's greatly appreciated Smile.

As for what the charms of the irresolute jellyfish do, they remove bones or whatever equivalent the victim has for an internal skeletal structure in the limb that they attach themselves to (in this case, the bones in the persian cat's tail and left hind leg). For future reference, if anybody wants to quickly find out what any of HollowEyes's charms do, just click on the link I've put in my sig.))

Buggane hit the ground running, Little Sister riding atop his back with Tengu and Kappa not far behind.

"Please direct us, Divine One."

Though the group was running across the Central Plains with the greatest of haste, it appeared that they didn't have the slightest idea as to where they were going.

"I wouldn't have a damn clue where the God is, it's come in here and now it's gone and hidden itself or something."

She looked around herself with her Seventh Eye once more, not getting any signs of the God anymore. "Keh, at this rate we'd almost have better luck just sitting around and waiting for some weird crap to start happening." She muttered to herself, pissed off that the God had disappeared without a trace somehow.

"We keep moving for now. Head for the Black Forest."

Buggane bounded forward swiftly, Kappa and Tengu following closely behind. The group was moving with great speed, and would be in the Black Forest in almost no time at all.

((The Sanctuary: DM, EDM and GDM are up on the roof of the Sanctuary atm. EDM has agreed to join you whilst GDM hasn't, and poor Blue is trying to stop them from fighting.

The Guardians Citadel:

Furnace has impacted with the ground and is trying to drag your lion-like gargoyle down with him, to his 'territory', as your gargoyle had bitten his shoulder.

This was Fade's last reply:
Quote:
Fade held her Sapphire Dagger ready now, keeping her cold, watery grey eyes on her charging opponent. The assassin stepped to the side when she figured the creature had closed too much of the gap, hoping she would shoot past her.

After having seen what had happened to Furnace's flames, Fade was unsure what happen to her poisoned daggers were she to use them against this opponent, and she was loathe to give her any more advantage than they already seemed to have.

The Guardians Citadel:
Tala is on the floor on top of one of your gargoyles, trying to catch the fist that was punching her ribs and going to punch him in the head with her other fist to knock him out.

Syllaks mostly talking atm.
Syllak said:
Quote:
Syllak shook her head while she still circled, her red eyes gleaming as snow settled on her armour, only to be shook off by her movement.

"You misunderstand me. I am apologising because I cannot give what you ask of me"

The Sivak Draconian stopped, and removed the visor of her helmet to show her face better. It was that of a silver dragons head, with sharp teeth and bright red eyes that showed emotions bordering on sorrow.

"I am Draconian. My race was created by the corruption of good dragon eggs. If it were not for there being both evil and good, my kind would not exist"

"We are free now, to choose what we will and will not follow. I am just one example of one who does not wish to follow the only way that was shown us when my parents were created"

"You cannot promise me the redemption of my entire species, because like me they have made their own choice of who and what to follow. Attempting to force anyone to follow what you believe in is wrong"

This was Sallahs reply:
Quote:
Sallahs eyes swirled red as the pain of her fellow fire-lizards who'd been struck hit her and the others, the queen making loud alarm noises.

The alarm was intensified by the rest of them repeating similar noises as the loud message hit all of their susceptible minds. Several of them looked about in confusion, as though they were expecting to see the source of the intrusion close to them.

The queen shook her small dragon like head and did her best to get them back together, although the distraction had caused several of them not to be aware of the gargoyles swings and be knocked to the ground. One of them had a broken wing.

Now projecting the hurt that their brethren felt as well, those that had been left renewed their attacks.

I think that's all of mine ))

((Gah, I keep forgetting about this thing.))

Chris merely shook the Goddess' message off- he didn't deem it as important.

Wrath, having no telepathic ability at all, was unfazed.

"I can most certainly be used for other things than healing and recruiting." The Homunculus’s grin disappeared as he held up one hand. It seemed to shimmer for a moment before bursting into a ball of spines and bristles, each loaded with red poison.

"I am, essentially, a war machine- a being made of simple biological components, devoid of a 'true soul'. Scientists, most notably alchemists, call me a Homunculus." His left hand pointed to the Ouroboros shape on his stomach. "I can explain what this means later, but, right now, Chris says you're purging this place of Sin? Are you familiar with the saying, "Fight fire with fire", Father?"

Wrath's hand convulsed until it retained its original form. "Alchemist call me a being made of Sin. Since you are fighting to destroy it, I was hoping I could help- mainly in the destroying part." He paused for a moment, brushing the hair out from his crimson eyes. "Just point and I'll shoot. Tell me who not to kill and I'll annihilate everything else."

****

The head-headed alchemist screamed as she felt the Gargoyle dig into the wires that operated as he nerves. This thing was seriously starting to annoy her.

She swung into the wall, aiming to smash the beast against its surface.

****

Panther, when she had reached the outside, was now a brown hexapod. Granite-like spines had replaced her keratin ones, adding to the overall appearance of a creature born from stone.

“Sensei, what the hell are you doing?!” She hissed, dodging the rest of the Council members to reach her alchemy teacher. “You’ll damage your automail that way, I thought you knew better!”

The shapeshifter almost laughed at the irony of scolding her teacher as she attempted to grab the clawing and chewing creature. Part of its body was jelly- HollowEyes had been here.

Clapping her hands as Rai had done many times before, she struggled to touch the ‘skin’ of the Gargoyle. If she could, her transmutation would alter its outer shell into gold, hindering its ability to move.

****

Kiba was tossed backwards once again.

In his mind, he didn't think he could win.

He'd been trained, way back when he was a little Zigzagoon, to avoid rock-type creatures.

He also regretted not learning any water attacks when he had the chance.

The Linoone shook his head- Bad thoughts needed to go away. He probably just didn't make eye contact.

Then again...

~Tala,~ He whispered, keeping an eye on the Gargoyle ahead of him. ~Do any of these things have cracks in them? At all? Even if they're really tiny, I think I have a plan to use them to our advantage,~

****

Neko glanced up at Uely.

Well, this is different.

The cat-eared boy was sitting Japanese-style; legs tucked under him, hands placed neatly on his lap. He really didn't give a damn if he looked like a girl.

"So, uh, where did Gabe go?"

High above the Citadel a speck of light appeared, pushing its way through the clouds. A screaming fireball belched forth from the heavens, accelerating towards the pixel below that was the Guardians' stronghold. As it approached its target, the fire consuming it faded away, revealing a comet of shadow. Droplets of the dark flame broke off from the torso of the projectile, then vaporized, shrinking the mass that was the shadowy core. Snowflakes melted around the object, creating a column of tainted rain in its path.

The collision, somehow on target after its free fall, exploded on the point of Kiba's opponent. A vast cloud expanded outward from the impact zone, and a deafening roar blossomed. The smog was as black as the comet had been, obscuring the vision of the entire compound, as well as anyone who might have been watching the battle.

The icy winds of the Arctic plains swept the fog away quickly, revealing an enormous scar on the earth where the impact had occurred. The snow had been melted, and the ground below it, charred, but it left no crater. Instead, it left a lone figure, clothed in black with a tattered blue scarf flailing in the breeze. From his right arm, a curved sword emanated; its hilt was firmly grasped in the combatant's hand. Its head, inches from the ground. The mask that shrouded his face was directed toward Kiba, although the man's eyes were unable to be made out clearly.

The last of the smog blew away, and the source of the impact became clear. Goron had returned.

(( I must apologize for my absence. I have no good excuse for it, so I'll let you come up with your own ideas. I assume creativity and insanity still breed here? Needless to say, I left because of me, nothing that any of this community did provoked me.

On a lighter note, I'm planning on playing a lot of catch up, and I thought partaking in a (relatively) active RP would be a nice way to start. If DP is not too angered with me for playing hooky for a month, I will plan on continuing my admin duties. Same goes for the Guardians, should they choose to forgive me.))

((Me Jho'lak and Neko were on a plane heading to meet you))

The plane hurtled towards father Mac when an alarm went off. It mentioned something having happened back at the citadel. Something incredulous. Goron had returned.

He would be questioned at a later date. For now the were beggining their descent.

Penguin Captain: "Could all passengers please buckle into their seats as this might be a rough landing"

There didn't appear to be much space below apart from a small clearing. Bit cramped though. As the plane began to land, Uley could here branches breaking as the wings crushed them to make space - it made her wince, it was like someones bones breaking to her.

As they piled out of the ship the captain saluted and got his crew on working to get it prepped for take off, in case of a hasty get away.

They made their way towards Father Macs position. Gorons return certainly had come at an odd time.

((HollowEyes was fighting the gargoyles, though he seems to be kinda useless atm, everyone else is just too good Razz I think that I'll have HollowEyes go and try to see what's going on here though.

Liyao (Little Sister) and her small group have touched down on Blackstar, and are currently making their way towards the Black Forest (they came down because of the presence of another God, but Liyao's quickly lost the trail and since they have nothing better to do she's decided to move for familiar territory).

Noten, the God of Nothing, is in the Immortal Realm.))

"I'm moving out to find out just what's going on with these gargoyles, I trust that I can leave it up to the rest of you take care of things here?"

HollowEyes didn't wait for an answer as he trusted these members completely, instead he quickly removed the beetle charm from his horn and darted off into the Black Forest. He didn't really like ditching them like that, but with the recent God's message that was broadcast across the world of Blackstar he felt that time was of the essence. ~It's not like they can complain about it Hollao, you outrank everyone there anyway.~ ((obviously Ayame hadn't noticed Addman's presence Razz))

HollowEyes didn't respond, his mind was focused on running as fast as he could. He knew that the Council rarely liked to get help from other groups, but for now it was more important to know who was on what side in this whole affair. He had meant what he'd said before, for as far as he knew Father Mac's flock was indeed the weakest group there was. However, this situation had the potential to become a bit more problematic if they managed to swing the right allies towards their cause.

This meant that his first stop was none other than the Guardians' base of operations, the Citadel that stood alone in the desolate snow-covered wasteland that was the Frozen North. If they had chosen to side with Father Mac then they'd no doubt be facing a war much like that which had taken place at Forumopolis, possibly even worse.

Whipping the Ruby Dagger out, HollowEyes leapt upwards. ~Aoiame, a charm of the liquid flames please.~ ~Sure thing.~ The charm landed beneath the Parasitian, spurting a small volume of lava out that quickly took on a solidified form. Several large rocks were held in place on the back of the lava being, allowing HollowEyes a safe landing. HollowEyes had gotten a fair bit of practice with the combination of the Ruby Dagger coupled with the liquid flames charm by now, and had managed to create a useful method of transport (amongst other things).

The forcibly created golem scurried onwards, carrying it's passenger to his destination at a much greater speed than HollowEyes himself could travel.
