Name: Danikat
Age: Unknown, she looks about 23 by human standards.
Gender: Female
Species: One of a kind as far as anyone knows.
Description and Physiology:
Appearance: Mostly human but with the fairly obvious exceptions that she has cat ears, a tail, leathery, bat-like wings and violet eyes.
Physiology: Mostly human, she bleeds red when cut, and isn’t any stronger or faster than a human with similar build and appears to have all the same organs in the same places, although she does have some extra muscles on her back to operate her wings. However she does have marginally better agility and balance and slightly heightened senses.
Physical Abilities: She can fly, only slightly faster than she can run but she can keep it up for a while. She generally prefers to fall into flight but she can start from a standing jump if necessary.
She can swim, a slightly odd style that sometimes involves using her wings, but she isn’t really any better at it than your average human.
She’s also pretty good in a hand-to-hand fight. She doesn’t have a style as such, but she knows a range of ways to inflict pain.
Supernatural Abilities: She has a tele-empathic bond with her dragons, fire-lizard and the armadillos and whilst she cannot initiate telepathic communications with any other beings she is sensitive to them and can sometimes pick up communications from others.
She also appears to be immune to servere cold, alowing her to travel between frequently in nothing more than a t-shirt.
Weaponry: Kyr, her katana. It was a gift from Danielle and bears a silver inlay. She was told it could cut anything and so far the only thing that’s stopped it was DP’s Sanity Blade.
Signature Moves/Attacks: She likes to drop out of the air swinging her katana and has been known to use her tail in a fight.
Equipment: She has sometimes been known to carry a small bag but she’ll usually have her armadillos bring things to her. She has an interest in explosives and will sometimes use them in battle if her usual attacks aren’t enough.
Home: The island of Obsidian Cove. No one knows where exactly this island is in relation to everything else in the multi-verse as the few individauls who’s ever been there have teleported in either on or close to the island and other than Danikat and her allies they’ve never stayed long enough to explore. (It is not a part of Blackstar Dojo, for all intents and purposes it's in it's own dimension.)
The island itself is relatively small, approximately crescent shaped and made entirely of black obsidian, although top soil and eventually plants and trees have formed over the lower, eastern, side (the inside of the crescent). The western and northern sides are dominated by dramatic obsidian cliffs that slope sharply down to the sea. As a result the only suitable landing site for a boat is the blacksand beach in the middle of the crescent. The island has a very high count of insect life, which provides food for the seemingly infinite number of armadillos in Danikat’s army. Recently herds of llamas have also been seen, but their origin and purpose is unknown.
Danikat’s actual home is a fortress carved into the northern tip of the crescent by a past inhabitant. It includes a series of large caves, with an opening in the sheer cliff face over the ocean, which act as a weyr for the dragons as well as a “house†for Danikat, and a range of other rooms, most of which are buried deep in the solid rock of the island.
Sometime after her arrival she carved a sign into the cliff beside the beach which reads “Welcome friend to Obsidian Cove†in runic. Some visitors, unable to read it, have said it looks a little threatening.
Origin: Danikat does not know which world she was originally created on and does not consider it important.
History: She spent her early childhood in the care of various individuals, learning about different worlds and species before moving into Obsidian Cove and meeting the armadillos.
She’s spent a great deal of time in the dimensions of what is known as ‘The Creatures Community’, most notably Treesprite’s Grove and The Blackstar Dojo, where she is usually found these days.
Alignment: This is a tricky question. Danikat would generally describe herself as good and she tries to do what she considers right, but her definition of good and right may not always match anyone else’s.
Her primary loyalty is to her own goals, which she is generally not inclined to share. She also cares deeply for her friends and allies and whilst she accepts that the occasional armadillo may be lost in the course of duty any direct threat to her allies will be met with swift retaliation.
Other than that she likes to declare herself independent and free of any obligation to other authorities or organizations. However she has a very strong sense of friendship and loyalty and once an individual or organization has earned her trust and respect they can generally count on her support, either openly or covertly, at any time she believes they might need it.
Personality: In general Danikat tries to be friendly and open to everyone she meets (unless they’re trying to kill her or something) and she’s usually very enthusiastic about whatever is going on at the time. She’ll generally treat you the same if you’re a talking mouse or the supreme god of the entire universe.
She’s also very direct and doesn’t believe in beating around the bush or wasting time when something needs doing, which can sometimes make her seem aggressive or arrogant, but if anything she’s just impatient.
Known Weaknesses: Most things that would kill a human, being set on fire for a while, having her heart or other essential organs ripped out, being pureed, being crushed under an elephant with a glandular weight issue, being…well you get the idea.

Alzaranth's Profile
Name: Alzaranth
Age: 7 (This makes her a fully grown, mature adult.)
Gender: Queen (A female who can reproduce but can’t breathe fire.)
Species: Pernese dragon
Description and Physiology: She looks like you’re typical western dragon (reptilian, 4 legs, 2 wings, long neck and body) but in bright gold. She’s 40m long.
Her blood is green and she has two stomachs, although one isn’t used (normally for breathing fire, which queens can’t do.)
Physical Abilities: She can fly over long distances, although she prefers to travel between if she knows where she’s going. She can also swim and enjoys it when she has the time.
Supernatural Abilities: She has a telepathic connection to her rider, Danikat, formed at her birth through a process known as Impression. As well as thoughts they are both aware of each others feelings and to some degree experience them themselves.
She is also capable of teleportation, via a dimension known as between. In order to teleport she must have a clear mental image of where she is trying to get to (and the area must be big enough for her).
Signature Moves/Attacks: She depends largely on her claws and teeth when fighting but can also use her massive tail, wings or entire body as a weapon if she needs to.
Home: Obsidian Cove, same as Danikat.
Origin: Her race comes from the planet Pern in the Rukbat system but Alzaranth as actually born on another world where a pregnant queen had become stranded. Danikat was lucky enough to meet the queen and her rider and even luckier to Impress one of the hatchlings.
History: On hatching she was Impressed by Danikat and taken to live with her at Obsidian Cove. The two have lived and worked closely together ever since.
Alignment: Unless in very extreme circumstances she will go along with whatever Danikat does.
Personality: Surprisingly quiet and thoughtful for a dragon she will only interject occasional comments, generally acting as her rider’s common sense. She can become quiet worked up if something excites or upsets her though.
In general she will not attack another being if she recognises it as a person, unless it threatens her, Danikat or one of her allies.
Known Weaknesses: Danikat; a dragons bond to her rider is all consuming, to the point where if the rider dies the dragon will invariably commit suicide, so if anything was to happen to Danikat Alzaranth would lose all sense of reason.

Veamoth’s Profile
Name: Veamoth
Age: 5 (This makes him a fully mature adult.)
Gender: Bronze male.
Species: Genetically altered Pernese dragon.
Description and Physiology: He looks the same as Alzaranth, but 50m long (longer than any genuine Pernese dragon) and bronze.
The most important difference is that he can use his second stomach to create fire (without Firestone, unlike a normal Pernese dragon) and he has a third one which allows him to breathe ice as well.
Physical Abilities: Like Alzaranth he can fly and swim. He can also breathe fire (without firestone) and ice.
Supernatural Abilities: The same telepathy and teleportation abilities Alzaranth has.
He also heals much faster than normal.
Signature Moves/Attacks: He usually relies on breathing fire, or more rarely ice (generally if the fire isn’t working) but he can also inflict serious damage with his claws and teeth.
Home: Obsidan Cove, same as Danikat.
Origin: Created for Danikat from the DNA of a Pernese dragon.
History: Ever since his hatching he has lived and worked with Danikat.
Alignment: Unless in very extreme circumstances he will go along with whatever Danikat does.
Personality: In some ways he is the opposite of Alzaranth. He is very outspoken and opinionated. He’s also much more aggressive than a true Pernese dragon and is willing (often eager) to attack at the slightest provocation. Fortunately Danikat knows how to keep him in check.
Known Weaknesses: Having been genetically engineered as a weapon of mass destruction he doesn’t have many. Although he heals exceptionally fast he can be put out of action, and possibly even killed, if enough damage is done quickly.
Just like with Alzaranth his bond to Danikat acts as a potential weakness as well, he would be unable to function if she was dead or unconcious.

Arian & The Armadillos Profile
Arian
Arian looks like a large, silver armadillo and is rarely seen outside of Obsidian Cove. He is essentially Danikat's second in command; the fluke product of her attempts to adapt the genetic engineering done on her forces by a friend. Arian is not only telepathic but also extremely intelligent.
He spends most of his time coordinating Danikat's forces, collecting and analysing their reports and passing any important information onto Danikat, or occasionally other parties. But he is also in charge of the day-to-day running of the fortress and starting new projects.
Although he is usually incredibly calm, acting as the voice of reason in the organisation, the stress of all this work will occasionally get to him, especially when he thinks Danikat doesn’t appreciate how much he does for her.
(The truth is she knows full well her entire organisation would fall apart without him.)
The Armadillos
The armadillos are the grunts of the organisation. Adapted from the ordinary variety found on Obsidian Cove they look perfectly normal but are capable of telepathy and speech (and are allegedly more intelligent, although that may be debatable). At times they appear capable of teleportation as well, appearing unexpectedly all over the place, but whether this is actually the case or not is unknown.
No one knows exactly how many of them there are (except maybe Arian or Danikat) but if you look close enough you can probably find them everywhere.
They typically act as scouts and spies, hiding themselves wherever they can observe actions around them and reporting back to Arian. (Danikat can talk to them directly if she needs to but for simplicity she rarely does.)
They show varying levels of training, and specialisation and can also perform other services if necessary (although any attempt to teach them gardening has failed dramatically) and sometimes appear to be working in teams but again no one knows for sure whether this is the case.
The Arma-llamas Profile
If the armadillos are the scouts and spies of the organisation then the arma-llamas are the soldiers. At first glance they look like normal llamas but a closer examination will reveal that their fur hides a layer of armour much like that of an armadillo. These plates cover the llamas back, the outsides of the legs and both sides of the neck and head (with some gaps to allow movement), leaving only their belly and inside legs exposed.
They share some other attributes with the armadillos as well: they can speak and are telepathic and also appear to teleport. But they also have some unique adaptations to make them better fighters. Their hooves are much harder than those of a normal llama and could do a lot of damage if they kick you, but their preferred method of attack is to spit. When a normal llama spits on you its annoying but if an arma-llama spits on you you’re in serious trouble because their saliva is a highly corrosive acid.
Like the armadillos no one is sure exactly how many of them exist but they typically operate in groups of 5, with multiple groups working together if nessesary.
