Ashanti was sitting in the High Council Chamber, listening to yet another rant about the Going's-On at Blackstar. She was glad she wasn't assigned to run that place, and felt sorry for whatever sap got too.

She hadn't really bothered to pay too much attention to the "Immortals last mortal realm" since it's inception, normally too busy for the latest gossip on whatever. Not that it really mattered to her. Even if everyone stopped believing in the Gods and Spirits of old, they would still believe in Death. She was all but immune to non-belief.

"Seek not for whom the bell tolls" She mused...

Then a name that caught her interest came drifting up...

"How Au'Marui could let things get this far is Beyond me. It's as if he's not taking his job seriously." Ariel, the Water Goddess, chimed in.

"Or maybe he is, and is spreading that Insanity stuff around Blackstar, causing this riot" Augusta, the God of Wind countered.

"Either way, if things continue on this path, and we loose to many people in that Realm, Actions will have to be taken."

Ashanti quickly excused herself. It may have been unintentional, but now she had the first clues as to where her Fiancee had been hiding, and by the sounds she'd be needed soon for her job anyways...

Violet had transported herself away from the meeting room on Au'Mauri's request and had begun to hunt down her mother. Asking where she might be in this place would have been foolish, since, she should be able to track her down, as her powers here would be more complete than being in the mortal realm. She'd left her brother back on Blackstar, knowing he might end up upsetting someone, with bad consequences.

Finally reaching her mother, who was arguing with another God of something or other, she was finding even the most ridiculous of things were getting Gods now, and she was sure this God wouldn't be any different. The God looks at her, followed by a slow turn from Sira. She didn't appear to be too happy that her daughter had arrived here.

Violet found herself being the first to speak, so that she could avoid at least having her mother speak down to her, "Au'Mauri asks that you seek Ashanti, Goddess of Death and ask her to speak on behalf of Blackstar with The High Council."

Sira looked at her daughter, having been cut off from speaking, she looks to the person she had been talking with, and the look in her eye sent him packing quickly, but not before he made sure she knew he'd be back to discuss things further. "He wants me to find her? The coward. Very well. You had best return to your duties." With that, Sira begins to stroll towards The High Councils building and chambers, expecting to find her along the way.
She didn't know her personally, but she knew of her, and, even she should b able to feel the coldness of death in her presence.
____________

Jecht on the other hand had resolved himself to re-aqaunting himself with Gods of varying status. The more that he could gain to petition the High Council to give Au'Mauri more time, the better. However, he was finding that some were favouring Father Mac, much to his suprise. The mortal preacher seemed to get everywhere.

As it were, Jecht was not hopeful of a quick and easy resolution to all of this. If the worst came to it, he was sure that little of this domain would remain if The High Council had their way....
_____________

Violet visits the various gardens being tended for here, looking for specific flowers and trees. These were going to be necessary to the development of what Au'Mauri had requested from her, and her new associate, Laur Doyle of the Corporation.

She also collected a few small books and various items she would need to create a much larger spell to cover what she was going to do. She was unsure if this would even work. She had only left Laur with the briefest of instructions.

((Posting for Chronos since he currently doesn't have access to here.))

The Halls quickly rose into an eternally echoing chatter, over various things. Pominent topics were mostly arguements over which side the Council should take.

"This preacher, Father Mac, he has given me many disciples-"

"But are we to oppose one of our own?"

"His ideas are excellent, but a mere mortal alone cannot enforce-"

"But what about her, isn't she rumored to be in-"

"ENOUGH!"

Silence. Bliss to one such as old as the Leader himself.

"We have decided. We will give a preliminary warning to Au'Marui, and if any blood is shed we will intervene. I will personally deliver this message."

~You know that's a bad idea.~

~A bad idea, you say? Why for?~

~You are just as aware as I. She is there.~

~Are you threatening me, slave?~

~... no.~

"Any objections?"

((Aha, if anyone guesses who is talking to Chronos you get memory points.))

((There's no specific reason as to why Noten is now attempting to enter the Immortal Realm, it's really just because Little Sister told it that it should.

As a bit of a side-note, Little Sister will be referred to here as Liyao, since this is all Noten and it's worshippers know her as.))

Somewhere in the Immortal Realm, a white hand bursts through, attempting to pull itself into this world. It is struggling with this, as it is a very difficult task - not only has it's owner never been to the Immortal Realm, they have never even taken on a defined form before. Flailing about wildly as it struggles to grab a hold of anything, the hand slips back into wherever it had come from.

Back in the Temple of Nothing, Noten felt slightly frustrated. According to Liyao, it shouldn't have been this difficult - from what she'd learnt during her time with the Evil Council, Gods such as the Dark Psycho were able to enter the Immortal Realm with minimal effort. Taking a small break to look around, the God was reminded that Liyao was currently preoccupied with monitoring activity back in the world that they had intended to dwell in for a time, the Blackstar Dojo. Apparently now was a bad time for it's inhabitants, and though this was no concern of the God's, Noten was satisfied to let Liyao watch on in case it yeilded something of interest to her.

~If I may suggest something, almighty one?~

Buggane, one of Noten's most devout worshippers, was now communing with the God, through mindspeak as he knew not to irritate Liyao. ~I will listen.~ Noten replied, deciding to grant it's most faithful disciple the honour. ~For as long as I have been blessed to have known you supreme one, you have lived in places almost totally devoid of anything. It is your divine preference to be surrounded by that which empowers you, the nothing. Perhaps the problem that you are having with the Immortal Realm is that it is the exact opposite of this - no doubt the presence of many other Gods creates quite the 'full' atmosphere, and thus the added illusion of pressure.~ Noten considered this possibility, and decided to try and work with it. ~Your insight is appreciated. As you were.~

If Buggane's theory was correct, Noten would need to be exerting a lot of his power in order to enter the Immortal Realm. Essentially, he'd need to create a forcefield of sorts to allow him to safely move about the Immortal Realm until he became used to the atmosphere that was full of the energy of other Gods. Burning through the atmosphere around him, Noten tried once more to enter the Immortal Realm.

This time, two white scrawny limbs managed to get through. They scrabbled about rather wildly, as Noten was once again trying to get a good enough 'grip' on the surrounding world to pull the God through.

((This might seem kind of weird, but Noten has absolutely no idea as to how it's supposed to enter the Immortal Realm. As Buggane pointed out, Noten is strongest in places where 'nothing' is the dominent element (if you were to call it an element) - by contrast, Gods themselves are quite a bit of 'something', and their mere presense seems smothering to Noten. I suppose you could say that Noten's current inexperience with it's own abilities would make it seem almost weaker than a spirit.

If somebody feels like helping Noten get through, they can, but you don't have to - Noten'll get through by itself eventually Razz.))

Ashanti walked down the Corridor, scanning the many "faces" of these gods. She was never amazed by their arrogance. In her opinion, her, as well as all of them, where false gods. What kind of God worships a higher power? And she knew the Order of things existed...she saw it everyday she exerted her power over death.

A face walking into the Council Chambers caught her attention. It was Sira, Goddess of Pain, and one of the few people around here Ashanti respect..."one of two", she thought.

She goes over to face her counterpart, asking in a voice that sounded like she was speaking with two voices at once:

"And what brings you to this place? You were never a fan of the High Council, Sira..."

For once Sira smiles, she'd found who she was looking for, and had obviously heard of her also. She walks towards Ashanti, her smile now replaced with her usual serious concern. "I may be no fan of The Hgh Council, but that does not stop my parents from rallying support for them. Which is why I have come here, to look for you.

Au'Mauri wishes you to speak on behalf of Blackstar. He said you carry favour with The High Council. My hasband, Jecht, God Of Peace is also rallying what support he can from the other Gods, but the loyalty here is divided..." She pauses as a few Gods she recognize begin to have a severe disagreement. "You should do what you can, or the arguments will become full on war. have no desire to fee the pain of the Gods that will suffer....."

"And why should I? If he wants me to do anything, why does he send you! Tell him if he wants me to do anything, he should stop hiding from me and face his responsibilities!" Ashanti replied, the malice and scorn evident in her dual-tone voice.

Sira, not appreciating the scorn from Ashanti suddely becomes a little less pleasant, as her face darkens slightly, and her eyes narrow, "I am no ones messenger. He requested I talk to you after I updated him. My daughter resides on Blackstar, and it is my duty to make sure she remains safe, even if that means giving Au'Mauri information to do so!

Unless you wish that he and Blackstar fall, then perhaps you should do him this one favour and settle what score you both may have yourself..." She ends her sentance sharply, expecting that Ashanti may take it in. Sira was not one to back down, even from one as respected as Ashanti...

Hearing silence (and some bickering but they missed out on their chance), the God spoke again.

"No one? Well then. This plan is to be put into action immediately."

Formally, Chronos stood, his aging body unnaturally graceful.

He bowed.

"This Council has ended."

As the Council (presumably) got up from the royal courts, Chronos disappeared without a trace.

He had left the Immortal Realm, en route for Blackstar.

((Shut up I got impatient.))

((Hey...I think Ashanti and Sira are about to duke it out...those two are too much alike to be putting up with anything from one another...))

Chorno's Decree of the Council's dismissal rings out as Sira issues her proclimation.

"Damned that God...Suppose arguing with you will not help anyone. I'll have to do a stop junction...the Highers aren't going to like this one..."

Ashanti marches in, and looks at the remaining "Elders" left, short Chronos, defiantly in the eye's.

"I, Ashanti, Goddess of Death, use my status and reputation to issue a Stop junction on the closing of this Council Session."

She feels the hot stares of the Elder's behind her, especially Refrika's hot gase...

"I have reason to believe this issue has not been debated to it's fullest..."

With those opening statements, Ashanti starts her Fillibuster

Pumping out more and more destructive energy, Noten was basically now ripping his way through to gain access to the Immortal Realm. It hadn't crossed his mind that this kind of thing may attract attention, all he was focusing on was getting through.

It showed too, as the form that he'd chosen for here was badly disfigured. For a face he'd settled on a mask that bore a slight resemblance to that which was worn by his disciple Buggane, and from the mask onwards it was as if his neck had just stretched out into a body, like a snake. His body was covered in long white hair, in an attempt to mimic some of Liyao's looks, and with it mostly covering his scrawny limbs too he looked more like a rather badly formed Chinese dragon than a God.

But Noten did not care - his form didn't matter, what mattered was that he was almost through. After what seemed like hours but was probably more like several particularily long minutes, he finally dragged his back legs and tail through. The tail had erupted in a bunch of feathers, and if Noten didn't know any better the God would've thought that he'd ended up accidentally wiping out the end of his body after applying so much energy so forcefully. But such a thing was impossible, he couldn't destroy himself like that or he would've accidently done that a long time ago.

Curious to see why Liyao had been so anxious for him to get here, the dragonesque Noten snaked his way around the Immortal Realm, looking for someone to tell him what he was supposed to do now. He knew of two Gods that Liyao had told him belonged here, as both of them had lengthy files in the EC's database - there was "DP" or "The Dark Psycho", better known as the God of Insanity, and "Paranesia", also known as the Goddess of Illusion. If need be, he could ask other Gods and spirits about them whilst he was here.

((I've decided to refer to Noten as a male from now on, simply because it's easier than constantly saying 'it' all the time Razz

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that Noten knows the two worst God's names to mention XD))

((Yeah >.>

Paranesia would probably cause him to be banished for fear of being a spy.))

Sira walked towards the chambers, following behind Ashanti, stopping at the entrance, watching and listening as Ashanti made her argument. Sira could see the fire in Refrika's eyes burning more than they usually did. If Ashanti held them up long enough, there might be a chance to avoid all conflict altogether providing Au'Mauri finds a way of convincing Father Mac.

Violet was still running around the Immortal Realm, collecting samples of dust, flowers and the occasional trinket. She'd had to bring a second bag from her parents house here. Only a few more minutes and she'd probably have to warp back to Blackstar. She sincerely hoped Laur had made allowances for her to portal to her labs. She wasn't looking forward to having to push herself otherwise, considering she's not yet as strong as any other Immortal.

Arnott had returned to the Immortal Realm after learning of his sister going there. He recieved a lot of angry looks as he bounded about the realm, looking for her, but something had drawn his attention when he'd smelt something he thought he might like and had wondered towards it, coming to a halt as a strange portal had been opened.

For several minutes, he'd stopped to watch what was happening, and for several minutes all he could see were some strange hands trying to pry their way through, and then falling back as the portal collapsed. Eventually, it pulled itself through. Arnott just stared at the creature. It was no Immortal that he knew, and as it were, it looked like none of the other Immortals.

Most Immortals took on a humanoid form in the realm, only a few, he'd noticed had any other form, like himself. This is why he was even more stunned to see a creature he didn't even recognize. Bouncing over to Noten, his tail swishing up and down, creating a strange rippling effect, he stands on his hind legs in front of Noten, his paws in front of his chest, turned slightly in a classic squirel pose.

"Howdy stranger. You're not some kind of parasite are you?" he asks with a grin on his face, as that's what he thought the creature looked like.

Noten was shifting his feet from side to side as he attempted to balance his powers out properly - they seemed to work much better now that he was completely through, to the point that he was accidentally destroying the ground beneath his feet merely by touching it.

Fortunately, he managed to get it under control before anybody approached him, though a small creature had come close to catching him off-guard. It hopped up to him, quite energetic it would seem as it bounced and pulsated small amounts of energy.

"Howdy stranger. You're not some kind of parasite are you?"

Noten was surprised by the strange question - Liyao had told him that the only ones who could get in here were either gods or spirits. "A Parasite? No, I am the God of Nothing. But I do know a Parasite. She's a very interesting one." His neck extended downwards so that he could get a slightly better look at the tiny Arnott, as he was not quite sure what to make of him. After a few moments deliberation, he decided to try and find out a bit more about this person and see if they could help him or not.

"Which God are you?"

Arnott's face becomes slightly pained, considering his spirit form, and the fact he has to help Violet ascend before he can finally take a godly form. He'd looked at Noten with considerable interest, whilst Noten was also deliberating him. Finally, Arnott answers Noten's question, "I'm the spirit of Mischeif. What God or spirit are you?" he asks with one eyebrow raised...
____________

Violet, on finally gathering everything together, warps back to Au'Mauri's meeting house, with her two bags, now containing a variety of powders, books, trinkets and scraps of paper.
