Deciding Who will be the Owl Sensei

Okay, WOHA.

*gets between 3kul and Raven and hugs both of them*

Everybody take a few deep breaths. Yet again, I manage to throw a monkey wrench into things. *sighs* You sure you want to go on vacation Au'Marui? There just might be no Blackstar left when you come back if I keep this up.

All right. I suggested Raven inquire about reopening the discussion about the Owl style since she expressed an interest in it. Raven was nervous about doing so, but I pushed her, it's my fault if she sounds a bit defensive and nervous. I'm sorry, to both of you. Sad

However, she has raised a good point. We need an Owl sensei, so could we do something about it? I'd like to hear EnD weigh in on the issue (was he even contacted about being the Owl Sensei?)

3kul is also right in saying that no Sensei would be accepted without a demonstration of how they uphold their style. I believe we need to hear from all the parties involved.

Well, whatever, I was more concerned about somebody who may not be able to do the job properly getting to be a Sensei simply by default, but so long as everything seems to be going as it should I've got no problems with it all. Sorry for making your job difficult Embri, at least I'll be out of your hair by tomorrow though Razz

I do think Embri and Raven are right, we need an Owl sensi or the style will be forgotten. But I also agree that any candidates need to go through the same process as the other sensi's.

Maybe we should start the whole thing from scratch? Throw it open for anyone who believes they'd be eligible for the job to explain why, then pick possible candidates from there and then vote on them.

I agree with Danikat. The Owl sensei needs to be picked soon. Due to the lack of one, we cannot join as Owls.

The solution, we either take the Owl from the group and test, or we start fresh once more.

It's been a month or so since I last posted here, but still nothing has been decided. I think we should all get up off our ass' and sort this out.

So do we get rid of the Owl style, or keep it and get a sensei for it?

Alright, I suggest we just do a new poll and get it over and done with.

Current candidates for Owl Senseiship are:
* HisLordship... somehow Confused

* Shaon
* Yoshi

EDIT: Yoshi has indicated interest in the position via PM, given that he believes his own roleplay style to be very similar to the Owl style.

So now we have at least two legit contenders (three if you count rebels Wink

), which is enough to take this to a poll. We should probably wait a few days to give other people the chance to indicate interest (if you can't post here, just PM somebody who can).

If nobody else wants to volunteer themselves for this job, then I'd suggest that we go for a new poll sooner rather than later. A reminder to those of you who can't post here but want to volunteer, all you need to do is send someone who can a PM indicating your interest in the position.

EDIT: I'm PMing EnD to find out what exactly happened, just in case he really doesn't know about this at all, and after I've gotten his response we'll decide whether or not to take this to the polls.

Amazingly, it seems that EnD hadn't heard anything about this, so it's lucky that I decided to PM him about it in the end.

He's decided to accept the position, so as of now EnD is the Owl Sensei.

Apologies to the rest of you for the confusion, I honestly thought that he'd been contacted about this quite a while ago.
