Ok, rather than pile all this information into one enormous post, I'm going to list this information in a few posts, so that it's easier to navigate and read. Please note that most, if not all, of these characters are either deceased or otherwise unlikely to come back to Blackstar. As such, they will be largely unavailable for roleplays set in the present or any future timelines (although past timelines or alternate realities are always a possibility I suppose).
Contents
Pictures
I'd like to have pictures of my characters and items up at some stage (given that most of them are very unusual and hard to get a mental image of), but my tablet skills are pretty poor, so it could be a while
- HollowEyes (I drew this a little while after I got my tablet - traced off a pic I drew. The original pic looks way better than this...)
- Little Sister (imo one of the best pictures I've drawn of her)
Detailed Backstories
Whenever I feel like it I'll be adding a piece of HollowEyes' backstory to my thread in the Amphitheatre. It's not going to be in chronological order, which is absolutely not because I'm writing this as I think of it

RP CHARACTER: HollowEyes
Name: HollowEyes (real name "Byule", meaning "Without a Soul")
Age: Around 21.
Species: Parasitian (of the Leech clan).
Alignment: Evil (member of the Evil Council).
History:Born not only as a twin (which are considered to be terrible luck in Parasitian society), but as an 'unequal' one, HollowEyes chose to turn on his fellow clan members rather than fusing with his twin sister. For devouring several of his own people as opposed to his own sister, HollowEyes and Little Sister were exiled from their clan.
Following many years of wandering, they were discovered and captured by a rogue scientist, who was both egotistical (believing himself to be a saviour of humanity) and deranged. The scientist, one Eugene Serpells, utilized their DNA to create three mostly-Parasitian monstrosities that would serve as his underlings alongside HollowEyes and his twin in the man's sworn duty to aid humanity (which is on the brink of extinction back in HollowEyes' realm).
Finding his new lifestyle to be rather uninteresting, HollowEyes escaped alone with the help of the Spirit of Paper, whom he named 'Aoiame' (or Ayame for non-Parasitian speakers). She taught him how to use charms in exchange for a life of devotion to her, which HollowEyes misinterpreted to be some kind of marriage proposal. After spending a while with HollowEyes however, Ayame grew to like him enough to reconsider her initial proposal and allow him to leave her planet.
Not too long after having escaped the lab HollowEyes found sanctuary within the Evil Council, his own somewhat relaxed views on morality and ethics allowing him to fit in without too much trouble. He has made many friends in the Council and does whatever he can to help further the group's agenda.
After a brief incident in which he found himself kidnapped by his former 'employer', HollowEyes returned to the Council with his twin sister, who for lack of any better name quickly gained the nickname 'Little Sister'. She did not fit in with everyone in quite the same way that HollowEyes did, but she seemed to enjoy many of the member's attitudes towards killing and torturing other lifeforms.
The Council soon came to inhabit Blackstar, a realm created by one of its own, where HollowEyes was involved in a number of major escapades. He managed to obtain one of the relics left by DP (claiming it in the name of the Council), and has made a number of non-Council friends and enemies.
He's fought with his sister on multiple occasions, as she seems hell-bent on possessing HollowEyes. During one of these fights he lost his Third Eye to her, but has since gained a duplicate back after another. He also encountered Ayame once more, who seemed keen to resume things where they'd last left off (now interested taking HollowEyes up on the 'marriage proposal'), and as a result of this she gave HollowEyes a tree that produces the paper used in charms. Her assistance has proven useful to HollowEyes multiple times, though being a rogue spirit not keen to associate herself with Gods or the Immortal Realm she's not often around.
More recently he created himself a bodyguard from the corpse of a 100-year old cat and a hell-bound spirit, resulting in the creation of a loyal Nekomata named Caton.
HollowEyes currently lives in his office as the Second-in-Command of the Evil Council, more devoted to it's vile cause than ever.
Description: HollowEyes has two legs, four arms, three eyes and one large horn on his head. He is bipedal, and has a third eye to replace on his chest. As for his four arms, they are situated around his neck in such a fashion that they resemble a propeller or the blades of a fan, connected to an appendage similar to a collar. Thanks to a recent change, his arms are only blades from his elbows down - above that, they're just arms. His horn appears at the front of his head, extending upwards from where his nose would be if he had one.
Physical Abilities: HollowEyes can spin his arms to enhance his speed (on both land and in water) and jumping capabilities (to the extent of hovering or floating, but not flight). He has considerable leg strength, though his frontal horn is not really for attacking things with by itself. Thanks to a recent body-switch with a clone, HollowEyes has regained the use of his Parasitian tongue, which allows him to absorb the physical attributes and abilities of any living thing that he eats. As he despises his heritage however, HollowEyes is unlikely to use it.
Other Abilities: HollowEyes' third eye has similar abilities to his original third eye, but is much weaker. It can only focus on one mind at a time, and only picks up on very vague emotions. However, as it's quite a bit weaker than the original, it also takes much less energy for him to use it.
Due to the fact that they share the one mind, it is possible for HollowEyes and Little Sister to synchronize their thoughts, allowing for high-speed communication, shared senses and other helpful things. Unfortunately they are unlikely to ever see a need to team up and use abilities like this, given how bad their relationship with each other currently is.
HollowEyes is also skilled in working with souls and spiritual energy, and having spent years studying them has become quite adept at determining the best use for individual souls. Were he to be so inclined, he could certainly help somebody discover talents that they never knew they possessed, but more often than not he'll use this knowledge for his own benefit, breaking souls down to make charms or using their energy to produce a spirit item.
Weaponry:
Arm Blades - His four blade-like arms are his main weapon, spun in a propeller-like fashion to slice the foe by running into or beside them.
Charms - Charms are small enchanted pieces of paper that affect whatever they directly touch for those of you who don't know, and HollowEyes makes and wields his own. Generally, charms are used as enhancers to the user or hindrances to the foe, and most effects caused by them are temporary. Charms are able to be wielded by anyone after HollowEyes has created them (as they are really just magically-enchanted pieces of paper).
Currently his personal supply of charms comes from the Charm Tree, which is kept safely hidden in the Corrupted Cave and guarded by Ayame, a close friend of HollowEyes (she'd say wife, but he doesn't really see it that way). HollowEyes always carries a few with him in pouches strapped to the underside of his arm blades.
Chain of Despair (Caton style) - using his pet Caton as a medium, HollowEyes can apply a charm not too dissimilar to the one used for the old Chains of Despair to the head of his nekomata to turn him into a single Chain of Despair, complete with a large metallic jaw at the end. Just like the original Chains of Despair, Caton's Jaw form is designed to clamp down on a foe, with the chains generally used to either protect HollowEyes or entangle the foe. As the name would indicate, this weapon also affects the foe's morale, making them feel despair and woe as the jaw bites them.
Caton's Jaw form is quite a bit bigger than those of the original Chains of Despair and appears to be of a slightly different design, so it can double up as a shield if HollowEyes so desires it to. Also unlike the original Chains of Despair are the effects of Caton's Jaw, which last for several minutes after bitten, and can increase in severity if the foe is bitten multiple times.
Just like the original Chains of Despair, the Caton Chain and Jaw combination is highly resilient to any kind of magic, although when used in combination with the Ruby Dagger (ie: when Caton has the Ruby Dagger in his back), the Jaw created is totally unaffected by any kind of fire (magic or otherwise). The downside of using the Ruby Dagger and the Chain of Despair together is that it gives off a lot of heat and Caton must forfeit the ability to control fire for as long as he remains in Chain-and-Jaw form (in order to focus entirely on using it for defensive purposes). It's also quite easy for an opponent to tell when the Ruby Dagger is involved with the Chain of Despair, as the Caton Jaw's fangs appear to be rubies rather than metallic (though they're still as hard and dense as they usually would be).
It's probably worth noting that Caton is completely in control of this form, though he is able to communicate easily with HollowEyes via mindspeak like this and is infinitely more agreeable than the old Chains, so it's not like he'll go crazy and do what HollowEyes doesn't want him to do.
Notes: HollowEyes cares little about money (which may seem quite odd to most people, given that he's actually quite rich), but is a craftsmen at heart, and as such is very interested in rarities. The Chains of Despair themselves are a one-of-a-kind weapon, and as well as making his own charms HollowEyes especially likes to see and hear about the works of others.
The relationship between himself and Caton is more or less that between a master and his pet, with the bonus of Caton being more intelligent than the average animal. HollowEyes resurrected Caton with the express purpose of finding a way to better utilise the powers of the Ruby Dagger without actually having to give it up or spend several years learning the finer points of pyromancy, and was very pleased with the results. It may seem like a better idea to some people to pick something more powerful, like a dragon or a unisus like Embri, but HollowEyes prefers the smaller, easier to control Nekomata (at least, it's easier for him to control ).
His involvement with the Council may seem a bit unusual to most, as HollowEyes doesn't immediately come across as a typically 'evil' character. Perhaps it's because he enjoys the mental challenges of combat that are so often thrown his way as a member of the Evil Council, or perhaps he simply enjoys being a part of the most powerful group in the Dojo - regardless of whatever it is that motivates him to stick by the Council, it seems that he has no intentions of leaving it any time soon. HollowEyes currently holds the rank of Second-in-Command, and is responsible for overseeing much of what goes on in the Council.
As for his relationship with his sister... It could be better . She's only ever seen him as the key to 'completing herself' in the Parasitian sense, whilst he's always seen her as a sister, an individual person totally different to himself. Whilst he's not necessarily wrong in this aspect (they are technically exact opposites of each other), she's now stabbed him in the back more times than he cares to tolerate, and so HollowEyes no longer speaks with her. This would make the more formal Council meetings very awkward for HollowEyes, though fortunately for him Liyao usually sends some minion of hers in her stead (as just about anyone who knows her will tell you, she's not a 'people person').
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Caton
Age: 100
Species: Nekomata ('Forked Cat')
Alignment: HollowEyes (owner).
History: Caton has spent most of his 100 years in his grave, dead as a doornail.
However, on his 100th birthday, HollowEyes resurrected him with a combination of his own abilities and the Ruby Dagger. Since the cat was now alive and 100 years old, it became a Nekomata - a mythical creature with various useful abilities, amongst which included a strong affinity towards fire (the main reason as to why HollowEyes sought to resurrect a 100 year-old cat for those of you who are wondering ).
Since his resurrection, Caton has been nothing but totally loyal to HollowEyes, extremely grateful to return to the land of the living with more power than he'd ever had, in life and in death.
Description: About the size of the average cat, Caton walks about on his hind legs most of the time. Distinguishing features include his two tails (which came from the splitting of his original tail, the most distinguishing feature of any nekomata) along with three long scars framing his face and the Ruby Dagger, which is sticking out of his back. His fur is white and his eyes are green. He prefers to wear clothing whenever he can, and can usually be seen wearing a casual navy blue suit.
Physical Abilities: None worth noting, most of Caton's abilities are magical/spiritual.
Other Abilities: Nekomata are usually associated with ghostly fire, although Caton's control over fire is greatly enhanced by the Ruby Dagger. He usually leaves it where it is, firmly skewered into his back (this doesn't appear to cause him any discomfort or pain), rather than having to pull it out to use it like HollowEyes did, so it's more of an amplifying device than a necessity - Caton is still able to wield ghostly fire without the Ruby Dagger, though it's significantly weaker.
His ghostly flames are a pale blue in colour, and barely visible to the naked eye (similar to a gas flame in that aspect I suppose), though there's not much difference between them and regular flames (other than the colour). Unlike HollowEyes, who relied on Charms of the Liquid Flames to create lava to control, Caton can create his fire from nothing in almost no time at all, although he is limited in the amount he can make - even with the Ruby Dagger he's not going to make something like a pale blue sun in a matter of seconds (or ever, for that matter), but something like a forest fire is pretty doable.
Just like other nekomata, Caton also possesses the ability to control corpses like puppets, though he hasn't really had much of a chance to experiment with this just yet (although given that he lives in the Corrupted Cave with HollowEyes, it's not like he'd have trouble finding corpses to practice with). It's a pretty limited ability though, he can really only move the corpses about, he can't make them speak or anything like that, and he can't move something that's only half-dead.
He's able to take on two other forms as well - that of a much larger cat (up to about a metre and a half in length not including his tails) or that of a human. Given his preference for fighting using only his fire-based abilities however, he rarely uses his limited shape-shifting skills in combat.
Perhaps most importantly is the extra form 'given' to him by HollowEyes - utilizing the same charm magic that allowed him to create the original Chains of Despair, HollowEyes is able to apply a special charm to Caton to turn him into a single metallic jaw and chain. HollowEyes still calls this a Chain of Despair (despite the fact that Caton dislikes this name), though it has a few significant differences.
Weaponry:
Ruby Dagger - One of the legendary relics of the Dojo that grants Caton control over fire in all of it's forms. It can be removed from him at anytime, though HollowEyes seems happy to leave Caton as the weapon's 'sheath'.
Notes: Despite his high level of intelligence, Caton's grasp of language is still rather poor, as he's only been able to talk since he was resurrected, and he speaks in a rather rough manner (mindspeak however allows him to get around this). He seems happy enough to serve as a weapon and a pet to HollowEyes though (whom he refers to as 'Boss'), as this is the kind of lifestyle that he's used to.
Like HollowEyes, Caton seems content with the simpler things in life, and as long as he's got plenty of lamp oil to drink and meat to eat he's happy (human flesh and fish meat are easily his favourites, though he's yet to try a kind of meat that he doesn't like). He enjoys his control over fire too, but he prefers to use it for combat purposes only rather than for any other reasons.
Strangely enough, it seems that just like a regular cat Caton hates dogs.

RP CHARACTER: Little Sister
Name: Liyao (she's still known to most people as Little Sister, and she'll still answer to this, though she doesn't necessarily like it)
Age: Same as HollowEyes (Byule), around 21.
Species: Parasitian (of the Leech clan).
Alignment: Noten (God of Nothing), and to a certain extent the Evil Council.
History: Born an abomination amongst Parasitians, Liyao (Little Sister) and her twin Byule (HollowEyes) quickly found themselves cast out of Parasitian society for simply being what they were - twins.
She and HollowEyes spent several years wandering the Parasitian Homeworld, during which time Liyao expanded her range of abilities by consuming a variety of powerful creatures (as any Parasitian child would), before being abducted by Eugene 'The Saviour' Serpells. The rogue scientist immediately enlisted them to help him in his cause - to offer the people of the nearby Human Homeworld a safe and peaceful sanctuary to live in. However, Serpells was blind to what people actually wanted, and couldn't understand why they didn't want to come and live in his fortress. Being the young genius that he was, Serpells decided to create a small group of creatures from Liyao and HollowEyes' Parasitian DNA, ordering his 'Protectors' to attack those humans who opposed him. Given her terrible personality and attitude towards others, Liyao ranked the lowest amongst the Protectors, though she actively enjoyed slaughtering the local populace whenever she had the chance.
It was during her time as a Protector that Liyao encountered and devoured Kumo Tsubasa, one of the few surviving creatures created by the Kumo Team (see Shaon's Kumo Jinrui's history). It was from him that she gained her arachnid-like legs, though she doesn't appear to have made use of any other parts of his genetic material (most notably, his working wings).
After being released by HollowEyes (who had escaped previously, but returned to rescue her), Liyao was pretty much forced to join the Evil Council. She found that there were a few tolerable people here, and she was allowed to do pretty much whatever she wanted, so for a while it was good.
However, it wasn't long before she became dissatisfied with her lot in life, remembering her ultimate goal - to devour HollowEyes and become 'whole' as they should have been in the first place. On numerous occasions she's turned on HollowEyes, the most notable of which would be when she successfully wrested the Jaws of Despair from his control after the war against the people of Gameware. Not long after this, she teamed up with the Jaws in an attempt to warp themselves along with the Blackstar Dojo to the Parasitian Homeworld, though initially she was unaware of the full details of this plan (having been told that the warp would take only them to the Parasitian Homeworld).
This attack inevitably failed, and after HollowEyes learned of this betrayal, he excommunicated her. This wouldn't be the last that her brother heard of her though, as thanks to a warping accident that followed, Liyao found herself in the realm of the God of Nothing, Noten. For reasons she doesn't entirely understand the God basically does whatever she says, though as Liyao's not one to look a gift horse in the mouth she used the God and his abilities to find HollowEyes, once again attempting to devour her twin.
Yet again she met failure, as her brother managed to outwit both herself and the rather clueless God. She did, however, manage to salvage another win out of this battle, gaining the powerful Third Eye for herself.
Now she spends much of her time in the Temple of Nothing, a ship controlled by Noten. Here she is revered by other worshippers as 'the Divine One', though not all of them necessarily approve of their God holding her in such unusual high favour.
Little Sister's motives for remaining with Noten for so long are a mystery to most people, though a number have begun to speculate that she's become interested in gleaning the secrets of the Gods.
Description: Half the size of HollowEyes (HE is the 2/3 twin, LS is the 1/3 twin), she has seven eyes (all of which are on her face, however all but one is usually covered by her hair), no arms and six spider-like legs. She appears to be albino (white all over, red eyes) and has hair as long as her own height. She is able to move her hair around as if each lock was a limb, and is also able to grow it at will.
Physical Abilities: Reasonably fast on her feet, Little Sister's main physical ability is the use of her hair - she can use a few strands for delicate work, or twine large amounts together for combat purposes. Like any respectable Parasitian Liyao is also able to use her Parasitian tongue, which allows her to absorb the physical attributes and abilities of any living creature that she eats. Useful though this may seem, she doesn't like using it unless the prey proves themselves to be worth the effort (Parasitians often use this ability early in they're lives until they find a form that they are comfortable with, and then stick with it). This doesn't mean that she's against meaningless killing though (that's something that she seems to enjoy quite a bit).
Other Abilities: Little Sister may not be very strong physically, but she can produce an ear-piercing shriek that would either discourage many an attacker or warn HollowEyes of her danger.
Each of her eyes has a separate ability, now including her right eye, which has been amplified with the powers of the Third Eye. It is probably worth noting that Liyao did not gain any of her abilities from eating fellow Parasitians.
Red Eye - Liyao’s left eye is totally red, with a small, sight-shaped pupil in the centre of it. It appears to have a kind of 'x-ray vision' which allows her to view the internal structure of other organisms, and she uses it quite frequently. It does not however, work on anything else (i.e.: she can't see through walls, or non-organic beings (robots, etc)).
Mimic Eye - Liyao's centre beady eye in the cluster of five eyes on her forehead is a shade of dark red. When activated, it flickers rapidly, continuously processing information and allowing her to perfectly mimic the physical actions of whatever organism she is looking at. If this organism has limbs that she does not, she can compensate with her form-shifting hair. Additionally, she can switch this ability on and off with relative ease, meaning that she is able to improvise on her opponents movements, and is not trapped with copying everything that they do.
Minuteman Eye - Liyao's left eye in the cluster of five on her forehead isn't often used, as it's power is fairly limited. It's a deep red like her other eyes, and its ability activates the moment she consciously focuses it on something. The Minuteman Eye can process visual information much much faster than a regular eye, and allows her to react to movement much quicker because of it. The only catch is that for every time that she uses it, Liyao must close it and let it recharge for a few minutes before she can use it again.
Memory Eye - Liyao's right eye in the cluster of five on her forehead isn't often used, as it requires constant eye contact between herself and her target. Once her target is caught in her gaze though, she can force it to relive memories of her choice, all she has to do is mention whatever it is she wants them to think of. It's a kind of hypnotism, and the moment eye contact is broken, so too is this ability.
Sniper Eye - Despite the fact that it is a rather basic eye, Liyao rarely chooses to use the top eye in the cluster of five on her forehead. Whilst this eye is able to see things a great distance away, making it perfect for ranged attacks, it's impractical to use it for something as limited in speed and distance as Liyao's tendrils of hair (it's impossible to manoeuvre it fast enough at such a great distance). Projectile weapons on the other hand...
Dynamo Eye - Given that she didn't really understand how it worked, Liyao previously hadn't made much use of the bottom eye in the cluster of five on her forehead either. However, it seems that somebody's taught her the right way to use it, as she now uses it frequently. This eye allows her to see the flow of energy, and similarly to her Red Eye, can't see anything else. This eye works on all kinds of energy, magical, spiritual, elemental, etc., and whilst it doesn't have a time limit like the Minuteman Eye, it is fairly draining to use for a long period of time.
The Seventh Eye - Liyao's newest addition to her optical abilities, this is the Third Eye in it's most powerful state. Whilst HollowEyes could only detect trace emotions, Liyao can detect entire specific minds as well as this. Some are more distinct than others, so she is able to associate them with particular people, or particular kinds of people, whilst others seem to just 'blend in' with everyone else's minds.
Weaponry: Liyao is about as obnoxious as Parasitians get, and refuses to use any kind of weaponry that's not a part of her body.
Other Notes: Though Liyao used to be totally unable to speak, she has somehow gained the ability to do so after meeting Noten. Since she hasn't been able to speak for most of her life, she greatly prefers talking out loud rather than using mindspeak, though if she needs to she has no problems with using that either.
Liyao is often associated with spiders or snakes, sometimes both, as well as a Medusa. She's fine with all of these, as they're all deadly creatures in their own rights, and encourages people to think of her as something like that too.

RP ITEMS: The Charms of HollowEyes
Basic Charms:
These charms either enhance HollowEyes' physical abilities or hinder his opponents. HollowEyes more powerful charms generally rely on the abilities of animal spiritual beings from his realms, as he is not all that gifted in communing with the elements.
- Charm of the Demonic Squid (blinds the foe) - if applied to the head, enables the user to spit ink (greater accuracy), if thrown on the ground, black fog will billow out (greater area).
- Charm of the Vexing Fox (gives the user claws and fangs) - usually applied to the hands or head, it sharpens the fingers into razor-like claws and gives the user a set of needle-sharp fangs.
- Charm of the Petrified Beetle (turns skin to stone) - turns whatever part of the body it is applied to into stone. This charm can be used either on the user to increase physical defense or on the foe to hinder their movements. Thanks to an upgrade, when it's applied to HollowEyes' horn, it massively increases in both size and density.
- Charm of the Reflecting Waters (creates illusionary copies of the user) - generally used to confuse the foe, the copies it creates are capable of performing physical actions (eg: lifting, throwing, etc.), but will dissolve if any amount of stress is placed on their body (like being attacked).
- Charm of the Liquid Flames (creates a river of lava for a limited amount of time) - can be used offensively or defensively, or for both (as demonstrated by HollowEyes sticking them to the outside of the EC fortress), this charm is pretty self-explanitory.
- Charm of the Devouring Locust (destroys small areas of forest, grassland, etc.) - generally only has one use, the simplest form of the Locust charms that HollowEyes carries.
- Charm of the Cacophonous Cicada (alters vocal chords to allow for sound attacks) - applied to the throat, it greatly enhances the users vocal chords to allow a deafening chirp. The chirping can last for several minutes (ultimately as long as the user can hold their breathe), and requires a great amount of practice to perfect. It can double up as a disrupter to spells that require incantations or radio devices. When applied to a foe, it removes their ability to speak by altering their vocal chords in a similar way.
- Charm of the Irresolute Jellyfish (removes bones) - no matter who this charm is applied to (either user or foe), it causes their bones to disappear completely.
Summoning Charms:
These charms summon forth things from HollowEye's realm. Their strength is dependant on the bond between the user of the charm and the spirits that the charm draws from.
- Charm of the Ensnaring Vine (summons vines) - these vines will try to grab and hold onto the closest living thing, and are useful for immobilizing the foe. Probably HollowEye's weakest summoning charm, since as previously mentioned, HollowEye's isn't very skilled with the elements, and works better with spiritual beings of creatures.
- Charm of the Locust Fiend (summons locust fiends) - This charm really requires two users to activate it; the first of whom must be the user, and the second must be the one who the locusts are to devour (it can be activated by one person by themselves, but that's just stupid). The charm itself requires a few moments to charge and gives out a large magical blast-like discharge shortly after it's activation. The fiends themselves are reasonably unintelligent and weak, but they make up for these shortcomings with their insatiable hunger and large numbers. Loyal only to HollowEyes, they can devour any organic matter (but cannot devour inorganic matter, such as metals, rocks and the like). They can speak, but their language is a relatively unpleasant mix of shrieks and clicks, which HollowEyes himself only has a basic grasp of. HollowEyes has some of his strongest ties with the Locust spirits in his realm, and as such it can be considered one of HollowEyes most powerful charms.
Contract Charms:
Technically, all of HollowEyes charms are made with a contract, but I will use this part to list the charms I have made from the powers of other RPers.
- Netdroid Charm - grants the user the ability to alter the flow of time around them. However, it is important to keep in mind that the time must remain constant. For example, if the user speeds up time around themselves for 30 seconds, time must then slow down for 30 seconds to return to 'normal' time. The same logic applies if the charm is applied to a foe, they can be forced to slow down, but must then speed up for just as long.
Special Note: As HollowEyes doesn't spend very much time worshipping Net, he usually needs to make a sacrifice on the spot before using this charm.
Abnormal Charms:
Charms created without the use of spirit energy, these are generally pretty limited in what they can do.
- Storage Charm - allows the user to store an item of their choice inside for as long as they wish. It is a two sided charm (one side pale red, the other a pale green), unlike HollowEyes' other charms, and depending on which side you activate an item can be deposited into (red side) or retrieved from (green side) the charm. After being put inside a storage charm, the item exists in a kind of pocket dimension. Should HollowEyes lose one of these charms though then it is the same as losing the item itself, as they're essentially just magic bags. (As seen in the Welcome to the Inconvenience Store RP)

RP CONDITIONS: The Nature of Charms
As I've previously stated, the charms that HollowEyes weilds draw power from spirits of his own realm. However, he can't just try and draw power from any spirit - an agreement must be reached first. In exchange for limited use of a spirit's powers, HollowEyes offers a predetermined number of sacrifices over an agreed upon amount of time.
The Role of the Medium: Sacrifices:
Sacrifices can be defined as anything that is alive, and are a crucial part to the usage of charms. The power drain that a spirit will notice from lending power to charms is fairly low, unless many are used in a short period of time. Giving sacrifices to the spirit who lends HollowEyes power refills the power that was used. Some spirits may request specific kinds of sacrifices, whilst others don't really mind.
Generally, HollowEyes gives sacrifices on his own time using a special (secret ) method, however, in the event that a charm is being used to secure a sacrifice, a power boost may be given to ensure that the sacrifice is gained. It should be noted that said power boost is entirely up to the spirit in question, and is usually agreed upon prior to the leasing of power.
It might appear that the spirit doesn't really get much out of the deal, however this isn't exactly true. Recruiting a medium or a disciple for a spirit is a good way to either spread it's influence in the worlds of the living or make a show of it's power in the worlds of the spirits.
The Role of the Spirit: Leased Powers:
The leased powers that a spirit offers and the strength put into them are entirely at the discretion of the spirit. Generally, small amounts of power require less sacrifices, whilst larger amounts of power require more sacrifices. This amount is prone to variation given the status of the spirit and the medium (for example, elements require a great deal more sacrifices than most spirits, because their powers are much more varied).
Basically, the spirit holds all the cards, and all HollowEyes can do is say yes or no. Should HollowEyes fail to fulfil any part of the deal, the spirit can cease to lend him power at any time with no notification (hence the great importance of keeping up with sacrifices).
As for what exactly the powers lent do, that's once again entirely up to the spirit in question. The spirit does not lose these powers at all, however it is not possible to suddenly change the lent powers without breaking the deal. |

RP CHARACTER: The Saviour
Name: Dr Eugene Serpells, a.k.a. The Saviour
Age: 28
Species: Human
Alignment: Good, Humanity (ie: more likely to help out humans than non-humans).
History: Born on a planet known only as the Human Homeworld in a distant part of the multiverse, Serpells' early years were troubled ones. In a world populated only by those who couldn't afford to escape, crime and poverty were the most common aspects of life. Upon discovering an ancient (possibly) religious document, a young Eugene Serpells decided that one day he would set things right on the Human Homeworld, and save the masses from themselves.
Through unknown means, he managed to become associated with a group of scientists working on a line of killing machines dubbed by most as the 'Kumo' series at the very young age of 18. He viewed this project as a way out of his previous life back on the Human Homeworld, but his ultimate goal to save the humans back there remained, and were often the object of ridicule around the lab. Eventually, his ideals wound up getting him fired (although he continues to insist that he left for better things).
After somehow managing to obtain a spacecraft, Serpells wandered around his small corner of the multiverse to look for a planet to serve as a new homeworld for the humans. Unfortunately, he quickly learned that the Human Homeworld was a one-of-a-kind planet - everything else seemed totally inhospitable.
The only other suitable planet was already inhabited by a strange race of creatures that absorbed genetic material from whatever they ate - Parasitians. Considering that they seemed to eat anything and everything, he decided that they were far too dangerous to co-exist with, but from a scientist's point of view they were absolutely fascinating.
By what is generally considered as a stroke of pure luck, he happened upon the only Parasitian on the planet who wouldn't eat everything in sight, and his twin sister. Taking both HollowEyes and Little Sister with him, he soon began to try to get them interested in his cause, however, much to his dismay, they didn't seem interested in the least. Of course, Serpells wasn't going to be put off so easily, so he simply imprisoned them.
Over the next year, he experimented on their genetic material in various ways, and found that by combining it with what he'd learnt with the team working on the Kumo series, he was able to complete his own version of a Kumo. This new lifeform was advanced far beyond what he believed that his former colleagues would be capable of, however, they didn't seem so sure, and ignored his advice.
Not to be stopped from completing his goals, Serpells continued to experiment with the genetic material obtained from the two Parasitians, and after several large investments were made to his cause (ie: robberies), he set up the Sanctuary back on the Human Homeworld, which was to become his base of operations.
Eager to begin saving people, Serpells began to tell them how much better life could be if they came to live in the Sanctuary. After someone in the crowds he was addressing got violent, his first experimental lifeform stepped in to save his life, but killed the aggressor in the process. From then on, Serpells was viewed as a lunatic and a potential tyrant by the masses, hell-bent on enslaving the human race.
A resistance began to form to drive him away, but they were only human, and despite their large numbers they only just made an equal match for his Parasitian-based lifeforms, whose numbers had now increased to three. Along with the Parasitian twins he'd caught a couple of years ago, he called 'The Protectors', which he intended to symbolize the fact that they would only kill members of 'the Remnants Who Will Not Be Saved', which is what he believed the resistance fighters to be, in order to protect the other remnants of humanity on the planet.
After two years of fighting, the leader of his Protectors, HollowEyes, somehow escaped, leaving him with just four Protectors. Although they were significantly weaker, they continued to whittle away at the resistance's numbers over the next five years, until Serpells had managed to locate and recapture HollowEyes.
Having almost no interest in Serpells cause, HollowEyes allowed the leader of the resistance (which was now merely 5% of it's original numbers) right into the Sanctuary, where he confronted Serpells and finally made him realize that he was not wanted on the Human Homeworld. Through a narrow escape involving the destruction of the Sanctuary, Serpells and the Protectors, along with HollowEyes and Little Sister, managed to survive.
He finally allowed HollowEyes and Little Sister to go free, and for the past year or so has spent his time flying around the multiverse in his ship, the Observatory, focusing on his research.
Description: Serpells is of a quite slender for a human, and appears slightly malnourished, in addition to being a little on the short side (he's about the same size as HollowEyes, coming close to being 5 ft tall). His eyes are a dull blue, and despite his young appearance, his hair is mostly a silverish-grey colour (with several streaks of black through it). He generally dresses in a pale lab coat and other clothes similar to that, as his clothes are more for practical purposes nowadays than they are for show.
His state-of-mind is questionable, as whilst he is undenyably a genius and the multiverse's leading (and only) authority on Parasitians, he clearly has a few problems. He seems to have accepted the fact that he's not wanted on the Human Homeworld, but he'd go back there in the blink of an eye if someone wanted his help. He still views himself as a Saviour of sorts, and seeks to help whatever humans he can. Good luck to them if they don't want his help though.
Physical Abilities: Serpells doesn't really have any physical abilities worth noting.
Other Abilities: None. Despite spending a little over 8 years researching Parasitian genetics, he has never once applied any of his own methods to himself.
Weaponry:
Since he was brutally attacked by the leader of the Final 5%, Serpells now always carries on his body a few syringes full of Parasitian cells, which have been specially designed to be extremely volitile, and assimilate as many cells in the body as possible whilst randomly mutating them. However, Serpells doesn't like fighting at all, and will only use these syringes in a life or death situation. _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

RP TEAM: The Protectors
Name: Sao'tal, a.k.a. Older Brother
Age: 7
Species: N/A
Alignment: Good, Humanity.
History: See Dr. Eugene Serpells' history.
Description: Sao'tal has four stout legs and two long claws over each of his hands, as well as two large limbs sprouting from his back. His appearance seems to be largely inspired by the Kumo series.
He's generally bold and outspoken, and is more openly aggressive than his siblings. He loves physical exercise, and although he won't openly admit it, he enjoys a good fight every now and then. He also looks up to HollowEyes, as whilst he is certainly stronger than the Parasitian on a physical level, he has never once been able to best HollowEyes in combat.
Physical Abilities: Sao'tal is able to generate large amounts of steam within his body, and he can forced a harsh jet of steam out of the two hollow limbs on his back. He mainly uses this ability to enhance his jumping and running capabilities.
His body is covered with a heavy, plate-like exoskeleton, that lessens the effects of most physical attacks.
Other Abilities: Like his siblings, he has various Parasitian abilities that have been granted to him from research conducted by Serpells. Sao'tal has the Parasitian gift for languages, able to learn foreign languages within just days.
Sao'tal's regeneration rate is the slowest of the three, as his body is constantly covered in his heavy, plate-like exoskeleton. However, Serpells is able to help speed up his regeneration with altered Parasitian cure cells.
Weaponry:
Arm Scythes - Instead of hands, Sao'tal has a pair of long, curved scythes on his arms. Heavily based off HollowEyes' arm blades, the arm scythes have exchanged all flexibility for added density, making them both sharper and stronger than HollowEyes' arm blades, but consequently, Sao'tal has a lot of difficulty picking up or holding things.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Pilelia, a.k.a. Older Sister
Age: 6
Species: N/A
Alignment: Good, Humanity.
History: See Dr. Eugene Serpells' history.
Description: Pilelia is snake-like in her body shape, with a humanoid upper torso. She has a pair of arms, four small horns poking out of her head, three long spines on the end of her tail, and is a pale bluish colour. She looks almost see-through, but her skin is solid (most of the time).
The most shy of the three siblings, Pilelia rarely speaks her mind and almost never trusts anyone. However, she excels at espionage work and sneak attacks because of her quiet ways, and isn't afraid of a fight. She seems to like HollowEyes quite a bit, as she feels that he is quite similar to her in terms of mannerisms and such.
Physical Abilities: Pilelia is made up of a strange pale blue liquid which she is able to manipulate to her will. She'll generally stay in her solid form, but she is also able to go into a liquid form and move about like that. In this form, most attacks won't affect her, as there's not really all that much to hit.
Additionally, she's able to harden the liquid to an almost diamond-like hardness. In this manner, she changes her skin to become coated with barbs, a move that doubles as both an offensive and defensive technique.
Other Abilities: Like her siblings, she has various Parasitian abilities that have been granted to him from research conducted by Serpells. Pilelia too has the Parasitian gift for languages, able to learn foreign languages within just days.
Pilelia is completely unaffected by any form of liquid poison or toxin, even if it's attached to something like an arrow head, as she's able to simply manipulate her body around it to move it out of her or to somewhere else. As well as this, due to her being mostly made up of liquid, she has the fastest regeneration rate of the three.
Weaponry:
Tail Spines - Pilelia is able to shoot the spines from her tail as projectiles, and can regenerate them almost as fast. The spines are constantly kept at the most solid state Pilelia can possibly keep them at (although she can easily change this), and they're about 30 cm in length. Whilst her spines don't normally secrete poison or toxins of any kind, Pilelia can add these to them by manipulating a liquid toxin into them.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Tausk, a.k.a. Younger Brother
Age: 5
Species: N/A
Alignment: Good, Humanity.
History: See Dr. Eugene Serpells' history.
Description: Tausk has two legs and two arms, with four eyes and five tendrils sticking out of his head (three in the back, two in the front). Most of his body is a light blackish colour, but a large part of his stomach is loose white skin. At the ends of his tendrils, the centres of his palms, and the soles of his feet, are holes which he can open and close.
He is quite cowardly, and should he be facing an opponent stronger than himself he'd be more inclined to flee rather than to fight. Despite this though, he is definately the smarter of the three though and is an excellent strategist. Although he could probably defeat his older siblings without too much trouble, he is inclined to think otherwise, as he can be fairly self-doubting.
Physical Abilities: Tausk's skin has some very elastic properties, and he is able to inflate himself by inhaling large amounts of air. By using the holes in his body, he can direct powerful gusts of wind in whatever direction he desires. Additionally, he can alter his body temperature in specific areas to create hot and cold air. In doing this, he can also create whirlwinds, which can vary in size and intensity depending upon how much air he's inhaled.
Other Abilities: Like his siblings, he has various Parasitian abilities that have been granted to him from research conducted by Serpells. Tausk has the Parasitian gift for languages, able to learn foreign languages within just days.
His elastic skin is relatively easy for him to regenerate, however he is most vulnerable when injured, as he relies on his skin to be able to contain air. He can switch between being quadrapedal or bipedal to enable himself to move about faster and become a smaller target. He is also able to channel things other than air through his body, although he is most adept with wind manipulation.
Weaponry:
(none)
EDIT: Fixing spelling errors :/

RP TEAM: The Jaws of Despair Parasitians
Name: Vangohma aka 'Arms'
Age: unknown
Species: Parasitian
Alignment: Their own
History: unknown
Description: So far, Vangohma has only appeared as a child-like Parasitian (a head, body and eyes) with large metallic jaws, though he's able to sprout arms from any part of his body.
Physical Abilities:
Overheating - By rotating and moving his body at great speeds, Vangohma's can superaccelerate the flow of his blood circulation (though he doesn't need to be moving to do this, it takes away a lot of preparation time and saves a bit of strain on the body if he is). The internal friction created by this move causes his body to heat up in certain places. This of course causes him to become flushed (and thus his colour changes the most in the hottest spots), and sweat given off by his body instantly turns to steam.
Other Abilities: unknown
Weaponry: unknown
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: 'Eyes'
Age: unknown
Species: Parasitian
Alignment: Their own
History: unknown
Description: So far, 'Eyes' has only appeared as a child-like Parasitian (a head, body and eyes) with large metallic jaws, though it's able to sprout eyes from any part of his body.
Physical Abilities: As his name would suggest, 'Eyes' boasts several excellent sentry abilities.
Sentry Flower - What appears to be nothing more than a slightly unusual flower or patch of flowers is/are actually used by 'Eyes' to see locations great distances from his own proximity. Attempting to touch or approach the flower-like organisms will cause 'Eyes' to disconnect from them, which in turn makes the flowers wilt and die. More details to follow as they are discovered.
Mothen - Moth-like creatures created by 'Eyes', these insectoids are quite different to the sentry flower. They're intelligent creatures and can understand and obey several basic commands (though only listen to 'Eyes'). Whilst scouting, they'll avoid contact with any other lifeform (unless told otherwise) and move about as naturally as possible so as to avoid arousing suspicion. If they do end up being touched by somebody other than 'Eyes' though, their wings burst into a sticky powder and the rest of the body burns away. Their only distinguishing feature is the eye-like patterns that they bear on their wings, aside from that anyone would mistake them for a regular moth.
They can exchange memories of what they've seen freely between each other via a mental link, but they have to make physical contact with 'Eyes' to relay any information back to him (given that they can relay the information though, only one needs to make physical contact with 'Eyes' to get the information across).
Other Abilities: 'Eyes' is also quite an accomplished lip reader.
Weaponry: unknown
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: 'Jaws'
Age: unknown
Species: Parasitian
Alignment: Their own
History: unknown
Description: So far, 'Jaws' has appeared as a child-like Parasitian (a head, body and eyes) with large metallic jaws, and most recently, a mostly humanoid form. As his name suggests, he's able to sprout sets of jaws from any part of his body.
Physical Abilities: unknown
Other Abilities: unknown
Weaponry: unknown
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: 'Wart'
Age: unknown
Species: Parasitian
Alignment: Their own
History: unknown
Description: So far, 'Wart' has only appeared as a child-like Parasitian (a head, body and eyes) with large metallic jaws, though it seems that 'Wart' is able to extend it's body over quite a distance.
Physical Abilities: Not much is known about the nature of 'Wart''s abilities, though he has partially revealed a few.
Skin Temperment - 'Wart' is able to alter the density and condition of his skin, though it isn't quite certain to what degree he can do this. As he's demonstrated though, he is capable of changing himself into a rock-like substance with quite a great amount of density. More details to follow as they are discovered.
Remote Cysts - 'Wart' is also able to place multiple growths that can really only be described as cysts in remote locations with ease. These cysts are also subject to his skin temperment ability. More details to follow as they are discovered.
Other Abilities: unknown
Weaponry: unknown
((I know that there's virtually no details here, consider it as more of a placeholder than anything - for everything about of the Jaws of Despair Parasitians that is discovered, I'll put it down here.))

RP CHARACTER: Genkaku the Gei'ei
Name: Genkaku
Age: unknown
Species: Human?
Alignment: Paranesia.
History: Under development .
Description: Mostly human from what most people can see. Taller than average, though his build is quite scrawny, and he also seems to be quite malnutritioned. Most of the time he'll be seen wearing his traditional attire for worshipping Paranesia. It's basically a white robe that appears quite tight around the upper half of the body, though very loose around the lower half and the sleeves. Along the left hand side of the robe there is a long vertical pale grey stripe, and across that runs a second diagonal stripe. The diagonal stripe continues over his left shoulder and underneath his right arm. Where the two lines cross over each other there is a reasonably large silver badge in the shape of a fox's head.
Regardless of his clothing, Genkaku always wears a blindfold tied around his head, and despite the fact that he claims to be, the man doesn't really seem all that blind - truth be told he doesn't actually remember whether or not he's actually blind, and it has never occured to him to take his blindfold off.
The weirdest part of his appearance though is the large helix shell that he carries flat on his back, which is a darkish green. Although he'll never show it in front of strangers if he can avoid it, the shell houses a long third arm which appears fully functional as a limb (amongst other things).
Despite the fact that Genkaku's species bears a distinct resemblance to humans, they are quite different internally. They lack the proper muscular and skeletal structure to tense different parts of their bodies - sprinting, throwing punches and the like are all out of the question for Genkaku.
Physical Abilities: Genkaku is quite limber and flexible, given his total lack of body tension, though not all that strong. He's been known to exhibit some power in his third arm, though that's more due to it's size and the fact that he can swing it particularily hard rather than any actual strength.
Other Abilities: As an illusionist in training, Genkaku has many questionable abilities. The most useful of which is a simple appearance illusion, in which he can appear to be wearing any multitude of clothing (he uses this one quite a bit). Other illusions he's used include:
Russian Roulette: Named so because it 'sounds cool', Russian Roulette is a rather simple illusion involving some light and sound. In a nutshell, Genkaku can make it look like he's shot six bullets from his pistol when he's only shot one. He hasn't used this in combat much, he mostly used it to impress fellow priests at the Paranesia Temples when he was younger.
Riddle of the Doves: He seems to only use this one when he's wearing a 'hat' (illusionary or real). It requires some actual magic words and actions so that he seems mystical or something, which are as follows:
| Quote: |
"There are thirty-eight doves in my hat,"
*At this point, he flips the hat so that the opening is facing the 'audience'. The hat quite clearly has nothing in it.*
"I take out a gun and shoot one of them,"
He holds the hat with one hand, and with his other hand looks like it would if he were holding a handgun, though there's nothing there.
"How many are left?"
At this point, the hand holding the 'gun' emits a loud cracking noise. |
The answer of course, is zero, and all 37 remaining doves flock out of his hat. The only time he tried using this trick so far in the Dojo went just about as badly as it could go - instead of 37 live doves all he got was the dead one. When performed correctly though, this one was also quite impressive at the temple.
If you're wondering whether or not he has any useful abilities, well, you'll have to keep wondering . Genkaku's a bit of a work in progress.
Weaponry:
Other than the small pistol used in 'Russian Roulette', it's unknown just what variety of weaponry Genkaku carries with him.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
RP CHARACTER?: Entrails the Familiar
Name: Entrails
Age: unknown (currently deceased)
Species: Fox
Alignment: Paranesia.
History: Under development .
Description: A dead fox. Around her neck rests an oversized set of beads with a bell - the bell is shaped like a fox's head, and Genkaku refers to the necklace as 'Paratama beads'.
Physical Abilities: Being dead.
Other Abilities: Gradually decomposing?
Weaponry: Claws and teeth, I suppose. _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

RP GOD: Noten, the God of Nothing
Name: The God of Nothing. Noten is the name that Liyao (Little Sister) gave him.
Age: Noten doesn't remember, having erased all of his memories when testing out his powers.
Species: God.
Alignment: Liyao/Little Sister, whom Noten believes to be the mortal personification of his own will (simply put, for the most part, Noten's happy to do whatever she says). In this way, he can be considered as an EC-friendly unit.
Occupation: God.
History: Noten doesn't remember, having erased all of his memories when testing out his powers. It's a fair bet to say that Noten's pretty new to being a God though, as he doesn't know much about anything.
Description: Noten's physical form, when he chooses to have one, is more of a silhouette than anything. He seems to always be pure white in colour, occassionally burning.
In the Immortal Realm, he takes on a more definate form. Covering his face is a large haunting mask, and from the mask onwards it is as if his neck just stretches out into a body, like a snake. His body is covered in long white hair, in an attempt to mimic some of Liyao's looks, and with it mostly covering his scrawny limbs too he looks more like a rather badly formed Chinese dragon than a God.
Abilities: Noten is the God of Nothing, though he only claims to have one ability - "to make something into nothing". This is all Noten will ever elaborate on his powers, just what this 'something' has to be is not known, and given that it somehow gave Liyao (Little Sister) the ability to speak, it's very likely that Noten is being a too vague. This ability appears to be a concious one though, as Noten can touch things without destroying them if he wants to.
To get a better understanding of Noten's abilities though, it may be easier to consider nothing as something. For example, he can destroy just about anything by turning something into nothing, but if he applies his control over nothing he can use it more exclusively - for example, he could turn all of the oxygen molecules in a certain room into nothing, suffocating everybody inside. Applying his powers in a different power, he can turn back time to a certain extent in order to undo what's been done - if somebody has received a deep wound, Noten can make it so that 'nothing has happened' and the wound closes back over. For defensive capabilities, he can create a barrier which allows only nothing to get through, and so on.
However, unlike most Gods and Goddesses, Noten is incapable of creation. He is a purely destructive God, despite the fact that some of his powers may suggest non-destructive capabilities.
Weaponry: None.
Other Notes: Noten's temple, the Temple of Nothing, doubles up as a dimensional vehicle that can travel across ridiculous amounts of space in very little time. It does this by eating away at the fabric of reality, thus entering the dimension of 'nothing' (where bothersome things like time and space don't exist) and it is able to leave this zone just as easily (despite the fact that there is no fabric of reality for it to eat through to get out).
It's an incredibly complicated method of travel that makes almost no sense at all, and won't work unless Noten makes it happen.

RP TEAM: Noten's Worshippers
In truth, Noten has many worshippers who live within the Temple of Nothing, but only a select few truly deserve mentioning, as they are considered to be the elite.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Buggane
Age: Unknown
Species: Unknown
Alignment: Noten (God of Nothing), and by that extension, Liyao. Given that his alignment to Noten forces him to be obedient to Liyao, he can be considered an EC-friendly unit.
Occupation: First Disciple to Noten, the God of Nothing
History: Buggane is the oldest of Noten's worshippers, and has been around for the longest. Amongst the other worshippers it's said that he was a follower of Noten's from a time when the God was still a lowly Spirit, though Buggane doesn't talk of such things.
[History to be continued at a later date]
Description: Buggane is capable of taking on two physical forms, though to him these are merely like standing in two different ways - there is no shape shifting or anything like that involved.
He usually is in his spider stance, with six spindly legs poking out from the long shaggy fur that covers his body. The only other notable feature here is the mask that covers his face - the mask seperates into two pieces, one of which is a jaw piece that opens when he speaks, but doesn't actually move whilst he talks.
His natural stance is quite different, as Buggane is actually quite human-like in appearance. His body is still covered in a thick coat of fur, but long arms and legs extend out, and his mask has folded back a little to show part of his face. His spider-like legs really grow out from his back, and usually hang loosely whilst he's standing upright like this as he tends not to use them. Another notable difference in this form is the uncovering of his long ears, though these don't appear to give him any special hearing abilities.
Physical Abilities: Buggane is not a fighter, and does not possess any great physical strength. He is however incredibly fast in his spider stance, and has fantastic jumping abilities to boot.
Other Abilities: As Buggane is Noten's oldest worshipper, the God has bestowed upon him a few abilities with which to protect his fellow worshippers from harm. These include a weaker version of the God's 'healing' ability and the 'shield' ability. Buggane is described as 'the Shield of Noten' due to these abilities.
Buggane can make it so that 'nothing happened' to individual limbs and turn back the clock, but can't manage any more than one at a time. As for the shield of 'making nothing happen', he's limited to a rather small radius, which can really only fit about 5 people into it at a time (including himself) for a few minutes at a time.
These abilities may sound rather useless, but he can use both whilst moving, and has had years to perfect them.
Weaponry: As mentioned earlier, Buggane is not a fighter, and as such has no need for weapons.
Other Notes: 'Buggane' is not actually Buggane's real name, as all worshippers of Noten abandon their names as a showing of their dedication to the God. Liyao simply gave him this name because it made things easier, and since he holds her in quite a high regard he is comfortable with being addressed as such.
Most worshippers have mixed feelings about accepting Liyao as their leader, but Buggane has total faith in Noten and so he is totally obedient to her.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Tengu
Age: Unknown
Species: Unknown
Alignment: Noten (God of Nothing), and by that extension, Liyao. Given that her alignment to Noten forces her to be obedient to Liyao, she can be considered an EC-friendly unit.
Occupation: Second Disciple to Noten, the God of Nothing
History: Tengu has been worshipping Noten for quite some time now, though not nearly as long as Buggane. She is considered to be the most able of his worshippers, and has been rewarded with great power for her exploits in his divine name.
[History to be continued at a later date]
Description: Tengu appears to be entirely human, aside from her large bird-like head. It's unknown as to whether or not this is actually a mask or not, but her eyelids appear to be sewn shut, her hindered eyesight a symbol of her devotion to Noten.
Physical Abilities: If Buggane can be described as 'the Shield of Noten' then Tengu is almost certainly 'the Sword of Noten'. An accomplished fighter in every sense, Tengu is strong, agile and smart, and has worked hard to gain her position as one of Noten's top worshippers. She's more of an all-around fighter than any of the other elite disciples, comfortable in just about any situation, and for this reason many consider her to be the strongest. Despite the fact that her eyes are sewn mostly shut, she appears to have excellent eyesight, which leaves most to wonder just how good her normal eyesight actually would be.
Other Abilities: Unlike Buggane, Tengu has not been given any special powers from Noten.
Weaponry:
Nan & Nen - the twin blades of nothing weilded by Tengu, her most prized possession, a pair of the very few weapons forged with the powers of Noten. Similar to wakizashi in appearance (short katanas), they are attached to a thin steel wire at her hip and sheathed at either side of her. They can be used as short swords for close combat or thrown as projectiles if needed, the wires allowing her to retrieve the weapons with ease.
Both Nan and Nen give off a faint white smoke when activated, slowly disappearing as they charge up. When fully charged, the blades appear as little more than a hazy outline, and dissolve through whatever they touch - this aspect of the weapons is very similar to Noten's own destructive capabilities. The blades charge at a 2-1 ratio, so if she wanted to use them for 10 seconds she'd need to charge them for 20.
It should be noted that if the blades aren't charged though, that they aren't very different from normal blades.
Other Notes: 'Tengu' is not actually Tengu's real name, as all worshippers of Noten abandon their names as a showing of their dedication to the God. Liyao simply gave her this name because it made things easier, and though Tengu doesn't really care for any sort of name she answers to it all the same.
Most worshippers have mixed feelings about accepting Liyao as their leader, and whilst Tengu is totally loyal to Noten her loyalty towards Liyao is purely driven by her sense of duty. She doesn't really like Liyao very much (then again, who does? ).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Kappa
Age: Unknown
Species: Hydro-Powered Mechanoid
Alignment: Noten (God of Nothing), and by that extension, Liyao. Given that her alignment to Noten forces her to be obedient to Liyao, she can be considered an EC-friendly unit.
Occupation: Third Disciple to Noten, the God of Nothing
History: Kappa is one of the youngest of Noten's worshippers, and hasn't been around for very long at all, but something about her made the God hold her in reasonably high favour. She herself doesn't really understand why, and has very little knowledge of her own past.
[History to be continued at a later date]
Description: Kappa bears the closest resemblance to her namesake, appearing to be a small humanoid reptile. She's the size and build of a young teenage girl, her skin is covered in green scales and her long dark hair is usually tied back in some sort of decorative fashion. A slight dint in the top of her head holds a small amount of water, though she's usually wearing a lid to keep this contained.
Physical Abilities: Kappa is a brawler, displaying physical strength far greater than what one would expect. Her claws and teeth and are quite hard, and she's not afraid to use them. Her tough skin also allows her to take a bit of a beating.
Other Abilities: Kappa possesses a very unique ability - a specialized memory that appears to be specially tailored to allow her to perfectly memorize the usage of specific weapons, even if she never actually holds or sees them (provided that somebody is actually explaining the usage to her). She can apply this knowledge to similar weapons to use them, but she can't apply it to different or totally unfamiliar weapons without knowing how to use them. To give an example, if she understands how to use a club but not how to use a gun and she's handed a pistol, she'll most likely try to use it as a club.
Weapons Understood:
Twin Short Swords - both in using them as a short range weapon and throwing them as a long range weapon, Kappa learnt this from Tengu.
Weaponry: Surprisingly, Kappa doesn't actually carry any weapons of her own, she's usually happy to make do with whatever she can get her hands on.
Other Notes: 'Kappa' is not actually Kappa's real name, as all worshippers of Noten abandon their names as a showing of their dedication to the God. Liyao simply gave her this name because it made things easier, though she has a strong dislike of Liyao and only answers to her because of Noten.
Most worshippers have mixed feelings about accepting Liyao as their leader, though Kappa makes her stance on the matter quite clear - things were better without Liyao.
As she recently discovered after walking through a metal detector, she is indeed a robot. Her mechanism could be described as bizarre and obscure at best, as she's powered by a small internal hydroelectrical system. If her water is drained she'll shut down and eventually 'die', but she keeps a lid on her head to ensure that this doesn't happen. |
