Well, you're getting it!
Mine are bloody awful, but the way I do them is as follows.
1. Choose what it's about. Sometimes you don't really need a reason, but I find a slight plot at the beginning helps.
2. Choose someone relatively well known to put in it. Usually the more in it makes it harder to control. But it can also make it funnier.
3. Just try and be as funny as you can. The reason mine turn out awful: I have a very bed sense of humor, and it doesn't appear very often.

As for ego-scripts, check my signature for the link to an ego script challenge I had wit the 'greatest' ego scripter there is, Addman.....
Addman: Why are you using apostrophies like that?

GBE: It looks and feels right...?
Addman: So you're not trying to speak against my uber Ego Scripts...

Addman: Oooh, I found a bit of crumpett instead...
Panther: I'll kill you both for this!
Net: It's action time, roll camera....
Raven: Giggity!
Net: That's my line....
Raven: B-but, Addman and Panther...? Giggity.....
Panther: How do you think I feel, I can't breathe.... Was that your squeaker...?

Greetings Chronos, welcome to the forums. As for ego scripts, I rarely do them myself, but there are a lot that'll have you in stitches.
I am one of the Mods of the Challenge Arena by the way, where you can test your skills (I've heard rumors I'm a harsh judge  )

Also, please excuse the ego scripts. They tend to appear at random and no one can accurately predict where they will crop up...
