Yoshimasa vs. Venom Blade

[Jent]

*Seeing that some of the punches succeeded of hitting Yoshi. He grinned, but that soon faded as he saw Yoshi dive into the lake.*

Now you want to go for a swim.

*Going through his mind, Venom Blade went to ones of his other tactics when he dived into the water. Yet the different eyes made it more challenging to strike Yoshi under water, but much easier than attacking a fish or reptile with them.

Inside Venom Blade's throat, four passageways are seen. One to the stomach, one to the lungs, one to lung like organ containing Hydrogen gas, and one to the methane storage organ. He seals away the methane organ's opening, and a different one emerges. A black slime swishes back in forth in the sack.*

He he he. Yoshi is going to have some fun when he floats back up, if he does....

*Venom Blade sends out a stream of the black slime onto the trees, mostly on the one where the wooden dart had landed. He dashes to the edge of the crystal lake. Staring down at his feet, they become webbed and his hands. The tail grows an extra foot long, as a bonus. A nictitating membrane develops fast and covers the eyes then retreats. Many of the scales of upper and lower jaw begun to show tiny dots (Hard to see with the already black scales) on them.
A tiny hole now look noticeable under each eye, receiving infrared radiation from the environment. Early they were smaller and sent weaker pictures to Venom Blade. Now much stronger. He looks back at the trees, one of them has been bellowing black smog.*

"Five, four, three, two, one." *Taking in a gulp of air he dives down into the depths of the lake. Next a tree erupts in bright blue flames, the embers hit the slime on the other trees and a domino affects comes into play. Licking at the lush plant life, the flames continue their destruction, still blue as ever.

Venom Blade swims through the water like a crocodile as he searches for Yoshi.*

[Yoshi]

Yoshi saw VB swimming nearby in the water. His lungs were heavy with the effort of holding his breath. Oh no, I'm going to need air soon. Ah, the joys of having corporeal form. At least I can hope he won't see me exit. Or maybe it would be better if he did... Yoshimasa swam as cleanly and gently as possible to the surface, so that he would not alert VB of his activity. When he broke the surface, a grisly scene greeted him. All the beautiful trees were in flames, and the air was darkened by their smog. He didn't have to burn the forest... Yoshimasa picked up a burning branch which layed at his feet and examined it.

[Jent]

*Unlike Yoshi, he could last two hours underwater if he wanted to.*

Now where is my deer friend Yoshi is?

*Looking back and forth, left and right. Venom Blade couldn't see Yoshi underwater, however with his sensory pits. He can feel Yoshi's slightest vibrations through the water much like reptiles in the Crocodilia order have. He tilted his head up and saw a blurry warm body moving upwards and heading to the burning land. Venom Blade played along and acted like he didn't notice him until he broke the surface of the lake. Darting back up till he was three feet surface then he swam slowly. Emerging out of lake in a quadruped fashion.

When Yoshi lifted the flaming branch, Venom Blade when back to a biped fashion. He scanned the dead forest and the sky. Darken skies, ash blanketed the entire forest floor, and heat radiating off the fires. VB smiled as his plans unfold.*

Why Yoshi, haven't you gotten used to forests being burn from the inside out before?

*Lengthening his right claw, he lunges behind Yoshi at quick sprint.*

[Yoshi]

"You know, I really hate it when people burn trees for no apparent reason. I really like trees, they each have a unique story to tell. To me, burning trees is like setting a person on fire, and that's not very nice. In fact, most would count that as an unforgiveable crime. Of course, you don't think that I would be that cruel..." Yoshimasa parried VB's claw with the burning branch and thrust his staff directly at his stomach. "Or do you?"

[Jent]

"Everything has a story, I know. But that doesn't mean I have to listen to every single complaint the trees tell me in my life. The most annoying I burn down, or if needed for something."

*The unused arm didn't have enough time to react to Yoshi's strike. He thought Yoshi was going to keep saying something about life still. Slamming in his chest hard, Venom Blade didn't place any strong armor on his belly and little on his chest earlier. So the attack almost made him throw up and caused a long, painful, stinging sensation.*

"Oof.... You, cruel. Ha. With your attitude you couldn't kill an insect... unlike me."

*Blocking out the pain as best as he could, Venom Blade cartwheeled sideways to the right to get behind Yoshi. Then launching two deadly hits at the major weak points underneath the shoulder blades of Yoshi. Hoping he would hit the most critical weak point of Yoshi's body.*

[Yoshi]

Yoshimasa was caught off-guard and both hits landed on their mark. He fell to the ground from the pain. He tried to lift his left arm, but it hung limply. "I don't think you're a very good judge of character. Its true that I wouldn't kill an insect, that would be cruel. But I have bo qualms about killing you. You are filth, and a murderer. And I was hoping for a civil fight, oh well. Now we will see who is better at avoiding further damage seeing as whomever is hit next will likely fall. Who will triumph? It is truely captivating." A small grin crept across his face and he stood up.

[Jent]

"I'm impressed that you took those hits well for your age. Though, the true damage from the two strikes maybe will affect you later on in this blood bath."

*Venom Blade steps back a couple feet, also spitting large quantities of the black slime around himself and little Yoshi. A few embers from the other fires lands in the puddles of slime. The slime starts to boil, and releases more smog as a side effect.*

"You have slim chance of surviving due to your stupidity at the start of the fight, Yoshi."

*Like the first batch of slime, blue flame sprouts from the disgusting dark mess.*

[Yoshi]

Before the slime ignited, Yoshimasa used his staff to pole-vault over a small expanse of slime to right beside VB. "My stupidity? No. Not stupidity. It could not be called stupidity. You see, I am frail and to charge forward and counter absolutly every move you made would have tired me out quite quickly. I did what I could. That is far from stupid." The slime burst into flames and Yoshimasa put the point of his staff up to VB's throat. "I won't kill you if you do not wish it. I will spare your life if you desire it. Or, if you wish to kill a poor old man, you may do that as well. Or you could spare me. These are your choices. Which is least painful for you?"

[Jent]

"But Yoshi, you shouldn't let your opponent get an advantage in a battle. Only some exceptions to this are normal training, and a few others."

*The flames lick at Venom Blade's leg, however the scales there absorbed the heat that tries to burn the body. While the leg's scales store the extra energy for a different task, his eyes notice Yoshi pushing something at his neck. A staff.*

"Sparing you would be the least painful. Though it be much fun as killing you. Yet you won't be a bother in my backside in the future, or will you? You may be old, but seem to be another type of creature other than human. Power over light? Most would be magic, some is tech, the rest could be genetics. As for killing me subject. Kill me? Why would I stop my long lived life now? After all, I lived for a few thousand decades already. Though I'm not Immortal, but I do something every several years that keeps from dieing. And a type of magic increases it's speed, not needed though."

[Yoshi]

The flames swirled around them, Yoshimasa legs were burned and kept degenerating. "I never let you gain an advantage, I merely made you think you gained the advantage. My strategies would have worked as well, if you had not burned the forest.", Yoshimasa gave a hacking cough and a small trickle of blood ran from his mouth. "Perhaps it would be wise if one of us did spare the other. Although, it may be slightly more beneficial for you to kill me than me to kill you. As for me, I'm suprised you are curious. I happen to not be human, you're right about that. And my control over light is natural, no actual magic or technology involved. Of course, the ability only goes so far. Light by itself can only do things to certain kinds of adversaries. I can blind anyone, yes, but beyond that its a mere triviality. I don't even think I have the power to kill you. So, what will it be?", he pushed the staff even closer to VB's neck as he posed that final question.

[Jent]

"You do have the power to kill, but it depends what defence I have for you to have a chance at it. "Although, it may be slightly more beneficial for you to kill me than me to kill you." If have the right knowledge Yoshi, it's the other way around. Killing you would please me, still it's a waste of time."

*He lowers Yoshi's staff from his neck.*

"Truce."

[Yoshi]

"Very well, you have no idea how happy this makes me. Fighting isn't the easiest thing for a man my age. Hahahaha! So, yes, truce." Yoshi puts the point of his staff firmly on the ground and extends his hand.

[Jent]

*He gives Yoshi a hand shake back.* "Very well. Though I have something my make this fight more interesting for you."

*He lets go of Yoshi and extracts his bite bag from his stomach with his tongue. The bag's zipper eagerly opens up for Venom Blade. He takes out two see -through flasks, a brownish belt, and light-green egg shaped item.*

"If you win, you get to keep two of three items. If you lose, you get to keep one. A draw means you'll get a flask and the green item." *Venom Blade hooks on the belt and attaches the flasks and the green thing.*

"The flasks contain the slime you have seen earlier. Having two layers. The first layer emits the smog, no deadly affects. But if to much gets in your lungs, then will cause the creature to be sick. Hallucinating, coughing, depression, sneezing, and few more things depending of the creature. But you can get an immunity to it over time. The second layer is what starts the fire. The slime will burn for a while, and about most of the time will be a blue color."

*Venom Blade gives a fighting stance.*

"Continue, or shall we stop?"

[Yoshi]

"Your offer is a tantalizing one, but I am tired and my body is weak. Perhaps we can meet another time and can continue with your wager. We are both a bit worse for the wear at the moment, and it would be foolish to continue. Thank you, it has been a nice fight.", Yoshimasa waves his right hand over his left and the arm glows brightly. He flexes it and stretches it out. He does the same with both legs. "Ah, much better! That was really bothering me. Next time, I'll make sure not to hold back." He then jumps out of the area of flame and waves his hand. The blue fire and smog start to give off a healthy green glow, "Much prettier that way, don't you think?"

((Well, I'd say that's about good. It was a good fight, TROT. Those eyes were a tricky move, congratulations on your insight. I'm eager to see the results.))

[Jent]

((Yeah. When Venom Blade lost his normal eyes, I was a bit shocked too (Even though he is my character). Good fight Yoshi.))

"The wager can be delayed, though new items will be offered as well as the old ones."

*Venom Blade stretches as well. The heat still didn't bother him like it did to Yoshi's.*

"It is some what pretty."

((Is the Judge ready to do the scoring?))
