Yoshimasa vs. Venom Blade

[Yoshi]

Yoshimasa leaned on his staff, the bright sunlight dancing around him. Trees surrounded him and his opponent and they caused the ground to appear a startling green. The sound of cicadas punctuated the air. A breeze came up over the lake as the light reflected off its surface. It would have been a perfect day for a picnic had a battle not been inevitable. "Such a nice day, don't you agree? After we are finished I should like to go for a swim."

[Jent]

*Venom blade pulled off his sunglasses off slowly, stuffing them in his bite bag. Cracking his knuckles, cracking his neck, and a few warm ups
he replied.*

"Sure." *Venom Blade change to a common mole in a tiny minute. He started digging in hard dirt, but he popped his head out of the hole to ask.*

"Ready?'

[Yoshi]

"Always, my dear man!", Yoshimasa replied. He then picked up his staff and leaned against the closest tree. It was a rather large tree, and Yoshimsas was standing on its rather expansive root system. He looked up at the tree, "A pity, really, to waste such a day in this manner. But go on, if you'd like that."

[Jent]

*Venom Blade vanished inside the hole. He starts to eats a few worms that got in his way while he tunneled through the earth. Scraping and clawing the the dirt and pebbles away as he dug. Making sure not to go upward yet so Yoshi won't spot the tunnels. After ten minutes of digging, Venom Blade constructed a maze like structure for thing that's a foot tall. Breaking though and making a new hole directly on the other side of the large tree the one Yoshi is close to. VB transformed himself in to a Nine-banded Armadillo. Checking to make sure he looks like a normal armadillo, he crawls out of the hole.*

This is perfect.

*VB walks slowly past Yoshi, letting Yoshi see him.*

[Yoshi]

"Are you having fun playing in the dirt? I must say, this is the perfect day to be playing like that. Of course, I would appreciate it if we actually commenced with the challenge instead of playing around like small children." Yoshimasa grabs a branch above him and swings into the tree. "Of course, I won't stop from indulging myself if you insist.", Yoshimasa gives a little wink as he says this. He then takes a small book from his pack and begins reading it. "Take your time."

[Jent]

*VB coked his head, seeing this tactic didn't work. He tried a different one.*

"Yeah I needed a quick dirt nap. Now I'll be serious." *Finishing his sentence, VB stretched and grew rapidly. Tiny limbs being replaced with reptilian humanoid arms and legs. Five fingers suited with retractable claws, and even nails on the five toes could retract too. His head grew longer and stronger, more like a reptilian humanoid head. Piecing, blood shot eyes stare at Yoshi while the rest of him got more complex. It took him five minutes to finish his 7' foot tall body. Then every color aspect on the outside of him other than his evils eyes turned ash black.

Opening his mouth wide, his tongue pulled out his bite bag from one of his non-digestive stomachs. VB searched through it patiently until he found a old scroll. Opening up, he read the writings of the scroll, the other side were Yoshi can see showed five different animals. Crane, Tiger, Snake, Dragon, and Leopard. Closing a placing the scroll back in his bite bag which he promptly swallows with ease. Pushing his right hand forward, he moved four of his fingers back and forth. Wanting him to strike first.*

[Yoshi]

Yoshi yawned and glanced down from his tree-top perch. "You bore me, do you really expect me to show any initiative here? You just keep wasting my time, first with your tunnels, then with your fancy transformations. Just get on with it and chop my head off so we can continue with our lives."

[Jent]

Decapitation... ok you'll get it.

*Venom Blade leaps into a tree nearby to Yoshi's tree. Flicking out his forked tongue, Venom Blade's eyes lock on Yoshi. He crouches down and building up energy in his legs. Kicking back the tree, he blasts off towards Yoshi. Extending out a claw for higher damage.*

[Yoshi]

Yoshimasa watches as VB charges at him. "Now that's more like it, little man!", Yoshimasa then leaps backwards from the tree he was perched upon and lands lightly on the ground behind the tree. "A little reckless, though."

[Jent]

*As Yoshi dodged his attack. Venom Blade plunged his claw, past the the center mark of the tree. Hanging by his nails and him laying vertically across the tree. "Crack." Venom Blade nails break with him kicking at the tree, doing a flip with breaking no bones. Landing to the ground and faces Yoshi.*

Your are falling for my trap old man. *Thought Venom Blade. The clipped claw starts to return normal size as VB pops his neck.*

"Yes, I'm still a bit new to this fighting thing." *Said VB, lying through his teeth.*

[Yoshi]

"Please, I'm not stupid, so don't assume I am. In the future construct more accurate or believeable comeback and avoid the patronizing lie. I don't like being patronized. Of course, maybe you want to make me mad. Just in case that is the case I think it would be wise of me to not allow you that pleasure. So, if you would be so kind as to DO SOMETHING, I would very much like that. I don't appreciate having my time wasted."

[Jent]

"Do something? Why you want me to attack first, usually it's the other way around.... Fine I'll do something."

*Playing dumb wasn't working against this guy. So a different tactic is needed for beating Yoshi. Firing a few nails a branch above Yoshi's head, weakening it. Sending out his tongue and it coils around the brittle branch. Bringing it half way in his mouth he chops off the end with his teeth. Venom Blade dissolves the stick until it looks like a dart. He coughs slightly, and sends a tiny flame inside the dart. Next he rockets it off towards Yoshi's head with his tongue, however the dart avoids him and it lands deep inside a bunch of leaves on one of the trees.

Returning his attention back to Yoshi. He lunges at hims with both hands. The right to the abdomen, the other to Yoshi's left shoulder blade.*

[Yoshi]

Yoshi held his staff out, point first in the direction of VB and fired a blinding flare from the hand holding the staff which travelled along the length of the weapon causing it to be focused strait into the eyes of his opponent. "Now, now, do you really expect an old man to do all the charging and bellowing when he can just as easily wait for his opponent to do the honors?"

[Jent]

*The flare stuck his eyes painfully and halting Venom Blade's attack. Rolling backwards until the tree behind him made contact with his head. Hoisting his reptiod body off the forest ground, he brushed some of the sand off his scales. He mumbled curses under his breath, noticing that this summer forest is helping Yoshi too.*

Control over light? Most likely, or a type move of a pyro power. Now with my normal eyes K.O by Yoshi I have to settle with these. Still, there is no chance of Yoshi beating me!

*Venom Blade swapped his blinded eyes with the extra ones. Connecting the veins stung him slightly and a few things. These new eyes had a different color tint in them, solid yellow with a elliptical black pupil. He stares at Yoshi with his new eyes in both angry, and trying to adjust to them.

The spectrum of Venom Blade's eyes are different than a humans. Seeing Yoshi with thermoreceptor cells on his eyes.*

"I could Yoshi, but do I have to in order of defeating my foes or friends in combat? Not all the time."

*He begins to walk sideways, circling around Yoshi. Then after a couple circles, he sends of waves of punches towards Yoshi.*

[Yoshi]

Yoshimasa dove out of the circle before most of the punches could be delivered, but several still landed themselves on his left arm. "And some action, finally!". He then dove into the cool pool and swam into its depths.
