The Dream Weavers


What can I describe Weavers as? They are the creatures that give our minds a chance to rest and then function correctly by forming dreams for us while we sleep. Every night, thousands of them in spirit form drift down to earth and perform their work without us ever feeling a thing. In return, we unknowingly give the Dream Weavers pure Drei Power both their diet and source of power. Without them, we would be confused and disorientated and without us, Weavers would cease to exist.
You’d probably never give them a second thought, but chances are if you do pass way while dreaming, your spirit shall become a Weaver to serve in the land of Eneima Elish, the Dream Weaver’s Kingdom. There is little choice but to serve and work for the High Aurad Council that controls and maintains this world that is caught between earth and heaven. Ignoring your duties of weaving on earth can slowly result in your death and you are forced to remain caught between heaven and hell for an eternity as a lifeless spirit. However, if a Weaver does happen to age to a thousand years, he or she shall finally be allowed past Eneima Elish to Heaven itself.


Name: Nandini

Age: 539

Gender: Female

Species: Dream Weaver

Description:
She has the body of a young woman in her mid-twenties. The colour of her fur is a light yellow though her round markings are a darker yellow. Her ears are short for Weaver and seem to float about her head. She has a small ruff of fur at her chest.

Physical Abilities:
Nandini has some experience of hand-to-hand combat and like most Weavers, would use a mix of this and her claws.

For tight situations however, she can call upon two massive axes that destroy most things in her way. They use up a hefty amount of power however and are also quite heavy but luckily they act as handy shields when the enemy refuses to disintegrate...

Supernatural Abilities:
Like all Weavers, Nandini can call upon the most basic of her Weaver magic to fight.

Her own supernatural abilities however, lie in her massive weapons. She can gather light in these and can either release a massive but uncontrolled blast or it can protect her against nearly all types of black magic. She is unable to use this ability during the night but she can make some use of the moonlight to form weak but protective bubbles against attacks.

History:
Nandini died as a human when she was about twenty-eight years old. She severely regrets this however because of the two twin children and the husband she left behind.

When reborn as a Weaver though, Nandini discovered a talent for the occupation because of the massive amounts of Drei power she held. Refusing to co-operate however with the High Aurad Council who tried to force her into the work, she disappeared for nearly ten years in the kingdom in a vain hope to find a way back to reality. When it did dawn on her there was no way of getting back to her normal life she grudgingly returned to the Aurad Council and apologised.
From there she quickly ranked herself up to the most elite of Weavers, a Brui and was even offer a place into the council. She still bears a foolish grudge though to them and refused it, happy enough to work as a Weaver for the reminder of her life.

Personality:
Generally confident and outgoing, Nandini is quite opinionated and likes to have her way. When she doesn’t, her temper can be sparked and she flies into a vicious rage that can for days while the grudges for a lifetime. For dangerous and relevant situations however, Nandini is generally quite cool and serious, taking things in her stride while rarely surprised.
Known Weaknesses:
Nandini, despite her serious nature, can sometimes boil over at the most critical of times and let an oversized head get the better of her if her will isn’t done. This often causes unrest in team efforts that require all members to be calm and collected at all times. She prefers to work alone even in team efforts because of this, thus ruining the actual effort in the team.

Her more obvious weakness is the lack of power during the night. Nandini is unable to use her weapons to full capacity and is also magically weakened because of her inclination towards sunlight.

Name: Caleb

Age: 67

Gender: Male

Species: Dream Weaver

Description:

Caleb takes the form of a young teenage boy. The colour of his fur is blue though the swirled marking are a darker blue. His long ears stand straight up, a rarity for a Weaver. His jaw line is emphasised by curled bits of fur.

Physical Abilities:

Caleb is actually quite weak physically and knows little combat skills. His basic idea of protection is to hold out his arms and slash his claws at whatever happens to move through his half closed eyes. Usually relies heavily on support of his team mates.

Supernatural Abilities:

Again, Caleb is weak in this area and only knows the basics of Weaver magic.

He has still yet to summon or even discover his Drei weapon.

History:
Because of his genius intelligence, Caleb was considered a child prodigy in his human years. Unfortunately enough, he died at fourteen before putting any of this to use. His memories of his childhood are vague since for some reason, he lost some of his memory while becoming a Weaver. He has a dark feeling though that the memories aren’t as happy as they seem.

Because of his weaknesses, he was almost cast off to become a Daira, the lowest of the Weavers that handle all the manual work done in their city. Luckily for him, he still had his intelligence that promoted him to the next as a Charaun. Since then he is working on gaining experience in relatively low case jobs on the edges of Eneima Elish. He has still yet to step outside of it in solid form.

Personality:
A sweet but timid person, Caleb is easily knocked down and can be quite sensitive. He has a quiet humour strangely enough though. His genius intelligence often leads him to over complicate matters and conversations so he has a lacking social ability at the best of times.

Though he doesn’t show it that much, Caleb is able to ponder on and find a way to deal with situations in the blink of an eye. Because of his tendency to run not fight however, he rarely puts his opinions into those situations.

Known Weaknesses:

Aside from all those listed above, Caleb just in general does not have any talent for fighting and is easily swayed to changing his opinion.

Name: Saige

Age: 823

Gender: Female

Species: Dream Weaver

Description:
Saige has the body of a small female child. Her fur is a pure white though tinged by a grey green in certain types of light. Her only markings are a dark green and spiral from her red head jewel. Her long smooth ears reach nearly to the ground.

Physical Abilities:
Saige is untalented though an experienced fighter to deal with in this area.

Supernatural Abilities:
She, like all Weavers, can perform basic magic though for her it is quite advanced.

Saige can summon a small but powerful Drei staff that ends in a dream catcher at the top. With this she can basically catch and hold onto Drei power and either store it for later, or release it to create large energy based creatures that move by her will and attack anyone who dares to threaten her.

Her final ability is to heal the wounded at fast rates. She can deal with nearly all species and perform a large range of treatments using her Drei power. The downfall being it is inefficient and wasteful of her energy.

History:
When she barely more then six years old, Saige died to become a Weaver. Childish and inexperienced in any kind of work or life, she was disregarded by the council for nearly fifty years to work as a Daira. By accident however, her unique healing ability was discovered and she was quickly handed over to the Council to be trained in private for nearly a hundred years because of her special case. Training in such a situation, Saige quickly became wise and experienced and despite her young form and lack of physical ability, became a Brui. She then began to focus in Medical arts and studied it quietly as her years as a Brui in her spare time. Centuries passed and Saige was first in line to join the Aurad High Council because of her loyalty and strength towards the Council. Now, she is one of the only Weavers to pass 800 years of life in a Child’s form.

Personality:
Though in a child’s form, Saige is one of the most mature of Weavers because of her upbringing. She is quite level-headed and approaches any problem with quite and calm thought. It is virtually unheard for Saige to raise her voice, let alone lose her temper. One of the only things that irritate her after centuries of life is bland insults to her size and age.

She is indifferent character and usually unbiased to anybody she meets. Her word is law however and she does not tolerate anyone disobeying it. Strangely, she has quite a thirst for knowledge and has passion for studying and reading so that her intellect is above normal.

Known Weaknesses:
Saige does have a weak body and can barely defend herself against any sort of physical attack. Her child form forces many disadvantages onto her also.


Final Notes

I prefer to call them Weavers but their real names are Dream Weavers. In case you didn't notice...
