"Fifteen men on the dead man's chest--
...Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!
Drink and the devil had done for the rest--
...Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!"

Acair sung loudly as he swung nimbly from the mast of the Poisedon, his green mop of hair being tossed wildly by the wind, and the ponytail swinging to and fro in the back. His ivory claws dug into the oak wood of the mast, creating small footholds for the canine pirate. All paws were covered with leather gloves, and his brown furred wolf body was covered by a flapping red jacket. The chorus rang loud and clear, each voice came from a scattering man below. The Captain's mouth was spread into a wide toothy grin as he watched a ship that was a head of the Poisedon.

Said boat gleamed like a diamond in the high noon-day sun. It was made completely of metal- something completely new in this part of the world, or, anywhere for that matter. Acair's crimson eyes soon shifted to his crew below.

"We're 'eaded for 'er, Cap'n!"

"Good work!" Captain Acair called back to the shipmate as he grasped a nearby rope. He dangled from the rope before jumping to the deck and wiping himself off. “Get to them cannons, men! We’ve got us ship ta’ catch!”

A resounding cheer from the crew.

This would be a good day.

Vex stood on the deck watching the waves. The sea rustled his crystal blue hair, making it fly around his matching eyes. A small amount of the crew were afraid of him, some even thought he was a demon. But he liked his current appearance. His hair was messy, but pretty and his eyes were slit like a cat, but the same colour as his hair. His skin was pale, almost translucent. He wore a white billowy shirt, and black trousers. He had one piercing, in his right ear lobe. He thought it looked cool, so he'd gotten it pierced.

Maybe someday he would change again, as a morpher he had the power to, but for now he was happy. Besides... he thought grumpily to himself. Alongside the captain I almost look normal... He smiled then, and returned to work instead of gazing off out to see. Vex was known to be a bit of a day dreamer.

Surge had been napping on a bench not far from the sandy beach aftr having a rather good days worth of money collecting, as he liked to call it. He'd made enough for a small fish and chip lunch with cool can of orange, and now he was lying it all off in the suns slight warmth. As he lay there he recieved a few disgruntled grunts and moans that he'd taken up all of the bench, but he wasn't too concerned. These people were English, they weren't going to complain too much.

He'd been there for about an hour before he decided to swing his body back up, and relax with a newspaper, one that he'd found discarded earlier. It was quite a large one, this day being a Sunday and all. Everyone knew the Sunday papers had more in them than others, namely because more people had more time to fill on such a day. He was engrossed in something about yet more political scandal when someone pointed out a ship bearing down towards another ship.

Turning his head, he noticed someone staring through one of those over-priced, run down telescopes out into the sea. Ignoring this, he turned back to his paper, quietly reading to himself...

Up in the sky, a black dot circled around and drew ever closer to land and sea as it quickly lost altitude.

As it got ever closer, people would first be able to see that it was a not a black shapeless form, but a black and red one. The second thing they would be able to see, was that it was not shapeless at all. In fact, large narrow wings extended to either side of a long, slightly serpentine body and tail.

Once it got to a height it was happy with, it's wings and gigantic body did a good job of blocking out the sunlight with it's shadow.

It was a large red and black dragon, this particular dragon being known by the name of Furnace. His bright red and slitted eyes watched the two boats as one began to chase the other. It was always fun to watch this kind of thing, and would often yield something to eat. He just had to be careful not to swallow too much water.

Captain John McBloon of the P.S. StarChaser (Psychotopian Ship) can't believe his crew was able to pull of that raid. The vast amount of the crew of the Posiedon had been asleep, and those that did remain on guard were easily destracted by a small marble the team rolled before them. After that point, taking back the Royal Psychotopian jewels had been easily accomplished.

Capt. McBloon, however, wasn't cocky. He knew the Posiedon was a faster ship, and he'd need to continue to have favorable winds for a while yet if they were going to disappear from the Posiedon's legendary trackers.

Just then, Cpt. McBloon heard the one thing he had been dreading all morning. "Ship off the starboard sten cap'in, and she's catching.

"Alright men, this is where we earn our keep!" McBloon said in a hoarse, commanding voice. "We sink that ship, or we Die Trying! We are Madman! Now, prepare the cannons, helmsmen, see if we can we can turn in front of her, the Posiedon will take a while to move it's cannon's to the forward firing position, assuming it has any!"

If ya see 'un, get firin'!" He winked and strode off to command his crew. "Keep 'er goin', Bailey! We need them movin' to run them into tha' shallows! Then it's hell fer them!"

"Don't die trying, please. It's hard to find a decent crew these days."

A womens voice called out from the front of the ship. It was a few seconds before the ships figurehead- in this case a mermaid- came up on deck. She had had a master craftsman as her creator, and even then they had worked long and hard on her.

She had pointed ears, and her hair was turquoise and came down to the bottem of her ribcage. The scales on her tail were dark blue, almost black, and her skin in contrast was a very pale, washed out blue. She had seaweed green eyes.

Her name ShootingStar, named after both the ship and the fact her chosen weapon was a bow and several arrows she had made out of driftwood and seagull feathers. Most people thought it was bad luck to have a women on beard a ship, but figureheads were meant to be lucky.

"Now, how do you want me to help, Captain?"

*Shirlea looked slightly green. Her bright pink hair was moving with the wind which irratated her slightly. It had taken her ages to get it looking perfect. The ship hit a large wave and she almost threw up again. She hated rough sea. She always preferred flying.*

~Angels were never meant to go to sea!~

*She let out a large sigh and took her grip off the side of the Poisedon and staggered back onto the deck. The big man had told her to stay with the captain and she did so. She had no idea why though. Maybe she had to save someone or something. She didnt really care. The sea annoyed her greatly though... She pulled the scarlet coat closer around her and wished that she was wearing more than her red tank-top and blue jeans.*

A young man, barely in his twenties, sat astride the railing of the Poisedon, watching the goings on with mock indifference. His blazing red eyes shifted constantly between the captain, the other crew members above deck, to the ship they were chasing down, and back again.

Xol, as he liked to be known, was a fairly recent addition to the crew, and spent much of his time on board wondering just why he was on board. Eventually he would tell himself that someone must of seen some potential in him, and resume whatever menial chore he had been assigned.

Still, he reflected, bein' a pirate is way better than anythin back 'ome
