Finally completing his most recent job (Implement code onto a Program on [CLASSIFIED IP ADDRESS]) , Mushi lays back on his chair and smiles. "Who was that who sent me that job anyways?" He wonders. "I mean, The security for that single file was extreamly high..."

After an hour's worth of meditation, BrainZ reactivates his suit and heads to his computer. After pressing a few buttons, He sends a program to the BSFileserver, Then pulls out a cord and connects one end to his suit. Before launching the program, He posts about it on the Blackstar Dojo Fourms.

"Hello fellow Scientists, Robots, And Cybernetic creatures. After seemingly a lifetime of work, I have Disigned The Blackstar Dojo Virtual Plane, Or, As I simply like to call it, HACX.

Simply put, HACX is a virtual world that is disigned to look much like our own by defult, However can easily be changed and configured to look like... Well... Anything.

Pleese note that creatures of full organic nature (IE Humans) will need to obtain a pair of special VR gloves and a VR Visor. Theese are not required for beings that have external ports on them, Or creatures of full robotic nature. Just connect a USB coard to yourself, Thats all"

Smileing, He tries out his new proggie. "Welcome, BrainZ" a voice says to him as he dives into the Virtual world...

There was only a few more left. It was a long time since this drive got cleaned, and quite a few files were scattered all over, but MDefrag, sapient AI, was putting it in sequential order in record time. "And... done. Time to check the messages. Daily performance report, that's great, weekly newsletter, maybe later.... An invitation? Let's see... a virtual world, huh? I think I'll check it out. " And with that, he loaded up the program in a virtual machine and connected.

"No, no, this won't do."

A colleague looked up from his work, "What's up?"
"It's this damn program, it's going crazy."
"Why don't you try debugging", the colleague mocked.
"It won't work, Jeeves. What the hell is going on now?"

Suddenly the program went into overdrive, it seemed to be modifying itself. Line upon line of code was analysed by the program and either modified or discarded.
"It-it's the AI, it's adapting..."
"Don't be silly...", Jeeves started, "Oh god, we need to get the AI programmer on the phone."
Jeeves picked up his handset and dialled a series of numbers, someone answered on the other end.
"We have a problem, the virtual world is changing. We think the AI...", Jeeves said, "...Yes we've tried debugging, this is no time for jokes!"

(( BWAHAHA))

"I know that! Look, try debugging again, I'm coming over to see what I can do to help. Don't try to shut down "

The AI programmer hung up on Jeeves and walked quickly to her car. If her guess was right, then the AI had realised it could shape the virtual world to it's will, and it was using people's minds to fuel itself. If a robot connected...then, she had no idea what the AI would do.


She started the car and carefuly drove at two miles nder the speed limit as she raced towards to the place which she had received the call from.

[Cloud]

"So, what did she say?"
"She's coming over, apparently we should try the debugger again.", Jeeves sighed.
"Is she serious? If it doesn't work the first time then it's not going to...hold on it's working..."
Jeeves looked up, alarmed and said in disbelief, "Are you sure Geoff?"
"Yeah it's working. Although it doesn't seem to be finding anything wrong with the modified code."

The debugger sprung to life, stopping at regular intervals, waiting for the user to resume. Geoff pressed F5 each time, making the debugger continue until the program terminated.
"I've just had an alarming thought.", Jeeves said.
"What?"
"Who's in the virtual world?"
"A couple of robots, oh and also the first subjects to test if the program is safe for humans."

Realisation hit Geoff, whoever was in the program must be subject to the new code. The virtual world could have changed beyond recognition without anyone knowing.

Cloud woke up suddenly, something was wrong. He had been in the virtual world for just over a week now without any problems until now. His vision seemed to be going blurry, although it could have been the virtual world itself that was becoming blurred. Suddenly everything went black, even the world's physics seemed to disappear. A command prompt appeared in the top left of his vision, it flooded with unknown letters and characters. It was the debug information being sent to the console, the console being everyone who was plugged into the world.

Within a minute the world was back up, everything seemed fine. Cloud was disturbed by these series of events and decided he had to report it. He clapped his hands, the exit signal, but nothing happened. He was trapped, there wasn't even a single admin on at this time so he was stranded. Only one thing for it, Cloud got up and walked out of his hotel room. The hallway was deserted, very strange for six o' clock in the afternoon on a saturday. Usually the halls were vibrant with activity; Room service rushing around; People walking down for food. He got in the nearest lift a metre away, its doors strangely left open as if inviting Cloud through them. He pressed ground floor, he just had to get a stiff drink to calm his nerves.

Amander strolled through the front doors, flashing her securety card as she dashed by with her white hair in a slack ponytail.

"Right, will somebody please explain what's been happening?"

Her grey eyes ran over the modifed codes and shook her head. She had helped build the codes and construct the AI, but this was just scary. What she was seeng was not what she had helped to construct. She shook her head in disbelife.

"People, we have a problem. Every one of you knows there are 5672 different words of code that, by themselves, have helped build the program that people are currently inside and each one of you knows what they do. Atleast, it started with 5672 different words.

People, HACX now has more that 10000 different words of code and counting. I don't know what these new words do, but some of them seem to be almost identical to some of the words we were hoping to add in a update that was cancled."

She called out, a pang of worry entering her mind as she thought of what might be happening to the test-subjects who were inside the program at that very second.

BrainZ welcomes MDefrag onto his Virtual world. A minute after he does however, A large Amoeba comes out from the ground. BrainZ looks at it and smiles "I was wondering when it would begin the cycle of Artifical Life..."

To MDefrag, the login seemed to go well enough. Although the text console seemed odd, it didn't bother him too much, as he worked with those all the time, and when it went away, he concerned himself with conversing with BrainZ, returning his greeting. When the amoeba appeared, he was somewhat surprised, and readied himself to fight it. However, as soon as BrainZ mentioned artificial life, he relaxed. "So, this isn't one of those violence simulatoins that are so popular? I must say, a nice change of pace." MD walked closer to the ameoba, as if he was trying to see some hidden detail in the blob. "Now, if this is part of a food web, is it producer or consumer?" Considering for a moment what it might eat it if was indeed not a harmless peice of flora, MD backed up a bit, in case avatars one this creatures menu. This world didn't seem like a total shoot-out, but it was still too soon to rule out any ideas of aggression.

Ash, the AI technican, was signed on in admin status. She did not have to enter the game, but could view it and progect her voice inside it. Shge couldn't more stuff without entering, and she knew more about the game than BrainZ, who had taken all credit for himself.

"Attention all test subjects and players; please sign out immidetly. This is the admin Ash, and I repeat, please sign out IMMEDIETLY. This is not a drill."

The message repeated itself, again and again. She leaned backwards and smiled just before the AI hacked into the building and locked the doors, barred the windows and covered the ventilation shaft. They were locked in, but still had oxegen and power.

BrainZ looks around the room. If his robotic body could make facial expressions, He would Chuckle. "Do not worry. The AI is just tricking us." He smirks "Watch me blow the door to Oblivion!" He shouts.

BrainZ fires a blast of code through the center of his claw's at the door. "Your TERMINATED!" He shouts. But nothing happens....... Scratch that, After a minute or so, Something does happen. He gets shot with a lowpower laser from the door

"What? How? I am logged in as the highest level of Admin, Level 10, So why cant I blast the door down?"

".... Well... I guess we're done...." Gerard mumbles "I will be disconnecting with robo-no...." ... Gerard waves a hand infront of Robonorn, Who currently SEEMS deactivated, Apart from the fact that all the little LED's on him show him as active and his eyes happen to be glowing a odd, Bright, Golden Yellow...

".... I will leave him here for a bit, Then come back and disconnect him. Cya you guys!"

MDude just looked from the door to BrainZ and back again for a while. Then he decided to say the Super Obvious Statement: "Yeah... that didn't seem like things went as they were supposed to." Giving up on that door for now, he looked around for some other exits. "What part of the world is this anyway?"

"BrainZ, I'm removing your admin status. I can do that sort of thing now. You claimed you had built HACX by yourself, but in reality you just sat around getting in our way. We can't have that sort of person hanging around when we're working on an update for HACX."

Ash focused her voice in that certine area in the world as something began to form. Ash was coming in game to play about with her new admin powers and give the only test-subject who hadn't been able to log out due to an error level 25 Admin status. He had earned it. She'd changd her name from Amander to Ash.

"Test-subject Cloud? Please come outside the hotel your currently staying in. I'm Ash, and I think you deserve to become an Admin."

Her voice ran out in the elevator that Cloud had stepped in. It hadn't been difficult to locate him and send the message into an area in which he could hear her.
