Josh vs Guthux

Now completely soaked through with sweat and slightly singed hair, he was grateful that the dragon ws angry enough to yell at him rather than just burn him completely, which certainly would not have been nice. He was about to stand up when the dragon brought its head down towards him. His forcefeld had been called back to a smaller size when the flame had ceased, not wanting to fall unconcious defenseless.

One option remained, as if the flame wouldn't harm the dragons underbelly, then, he knew trying to impale it might fail. He created a rectangular force field around himself, just a bit taller than he was himself. Now inside the dragons mind, he forced himself to stand up, if a little weary. He wasn't sure if he could hold it of for much longer.

Opening a small window in the forcefield, he nervously goes to touch the dragon, as he does, he quickly withdraws his hand, the mouth is still ridiculously hot. Knowing there was no other way, his tattoo flares up, illuminating the inside of the dragons mouth with bright purple, blue and silvery white hues. Screaming slightly as the pain wrapped around and spiked through his head, he bites his lip as he closes his eyes. He forces his arm out and holds onto the dragons mouth for all its worth.

The burning now searng across the underside of his hand is nothing in comparison to the headache he's feeling. As he holds onto the dragons mouth, the ligh eminates and becomes brighter, still causing more pain. He has to fight buckling to his knees. As he speaks, the light changes colour more rapidly. is voice is more authoritative, "Release me dragon! Release me now!"

"As you wish."

The dragon whipped his head around, gathering momentum until he could stand the pain no more. When this moment came, he kept his word and released Josh... with a hundred mile per hour velocity.

((I should have seen that one coming! and now, lets call mine the last post, as it technically goes over the limit, but, you wouldn't post! ))

As Josh flies through the air, he finds very little time to contemplate just how much of a predicament he's in. The only reaction mustered is expanding his forcefield around him to its maximum strength and distance, which, with the amount of energy he's putting into maintaining its strength, is only two metres around him.

Colliding with the arena's in built forcefields to stop interferance from outsiders, and to stop others from fleeing, Josh is quite literally jolted around quite unpleasantly. He would have sworn he felt his internal organs swap places, which is never a good thing. Crashing down towards th ground, the forcefield softens the initial blow, but the lower part of it disipates first, causing a secondary fall. he rest of the forcefield follows suit quite rapidly, his energy now depleted.

Josh momentarily stands up, the tattoo still shining brightly. He looks up at the large dragon, a little woozy, and he can see its aparantly multiplied. His body then gives in to the pain that is racing all over his body, further intensifying the headache, he falls onto his knees, taking a deep breath, and closes his eyes. For a moment he sways, and then collapses forwards onto his chest, one hand on his head, clenched tightly, the other in front, opening and closing as if he's trying to grab something, but instead grasping only charred gravel...

Believability: 10/10 – As far your profile for Guthux goes, I see no problems with this.

Powerplay: 0/-10 – I can’t see any problems with this

Personality/Flair: 10/10 – While this may be the first time you’ve used this char, his personality shines through your descriptions of his thoughts and actions.

Cleverness/Inventiveness: 10/20 – You get marks for having Guthux being ‘kept’ in the Arena for a challenger, however I unfortunately did not see anything that was very inventive as far as your attacks were concerned

Grammer/Spelling: 9/10 – I did spot two spelling mistakes, apart from that your speliing and grammar is perfectly fine.

Believability: 10/10 – Despite the forcefield, you still showed Josh as believing himself to be in trouble when faced with something as mighty as a dragon. Well done.

Powerplay: 0/-10 – Didn’t see any problems with this

Personality/Flair: 7/10 – Hmmm… Since this is only the second time I’ve seen Josh, I’m not too sure. However, his sudden change from being frightened and nervous to being authoritative showed flair

Cleverness/Inventiveness: 15/20 – I liked your forming a slide with your forcefield to send fire back at the huge dragon, very clever and inventive.

Grammer/Spelling: 7/10 – A few repeated words and a few spelling mistakes, nothing too major but occasionally making it hard to read.

Well, well, it seems we have a tie.

EDIT (after discussion with fellow judge): Unless either of you wishes to have another Judge to decide the tiebreaker, perhaps a 'sudden death' would do.

You both are allowed one more post each, and make them good . As I'll be weighing the tie breaker on this one post. Should you choose to do so that is.

Not one to let up until his enemy was incapacitated, Guthux contemplated how to hit his opponent next. As a large dragon, his speed on the ground was somewhat limited. He could take to the air, but that force field would have kept him rather confined.

In a sudden inspiration, Guthux flipped over sideways, holding one wing out like a giant fan. The gust created by this fan was almost equal to the amount of force that shook the earth when he came back down.

"This fight is over, human."

Josh heard something in his head, but he was far too dazed to figure out what. It was shortly after that he found himself being buffeted backwards towards the wall. As he lay there, pinned against the wall, he found himself unable to muster the energy to move. He also found very quickly that he was running out of air, as the force being created was making it impossible to inhale properly.

The last thing he wanted was to die, but, the lack of oxygen was helping to diminish the severe headache he was suffering from, testament to this fact is that his tattoo now began to diminish, losing its brightness quite rapidly. Coherent thought slowly coming back, perhaps a little too slowly, he knew he had to figure a way out of this situation within a few seconds. The tattoo's energy, now having switched off, he had enough residual energy to reform a small forcefield.

One choice, he forms it in front of his face, protecting his eyes, head, and most importantly, the ability to breathe. Gagging, as the air current pounding into his face was broken, he was able to take several deep breaths. As he opened his eyes, he found that he was seeing red and blue spots in front of his face. Wearily, with his left hand, considering he was laying on his right arm, he tried to swipe at these dots, and realized they were actually in h vision, this was not a good thing he decided.

It didn't help with small rocks and pebbles colliding with his body every so often, it certainly hurt quite a lot, he was fairly sure he might be bleeding, although, his body wasn't receptive to feeing other than the coldness generated by the gusts, and the fact he was pinned against a wall. He pondered exactly why he was against a wall, which he found himself giggling at, as his mind went the wrong way about 'rebooting' itself properly. He remembered there was a large dragon somewhere around. Well, large wasn't the word. Quite large might have covered it he thought...
