you could simulate WII conrtols with a keyboard and mouse. it's VSIM Technology, from "Die by the sword"
| Quote: |
| Die by the Sword is a computer swordfighting game developed by Treyarch, and published by Tantrum Entertainment (a sub-brand of Interplay Productions) on February 28, 1998. The title's main selling point was the introduction of the VSIM control system, which allowed players to independently command the movement and swordfighting of their ingame avatars; running, jumping, and turning with one hand, while simultaneously slashing, stabbing, and parrying with the other. |
it's kinda cool! _________________ http://zerrer.deviantart.com/

Wiimote simulators? How interesting...
Check this out: http://www.blackstardojo.org/viewtopic.php?t=1020
It's an LoZ fanfic I did (before Wind Waker came out) after I got completely immersed in the OoT world. Any and all comments are welcome
I thought I'd share with you all as a celebration of the new Nintendo console launch . _________________ Baker of the radioactive three-eyed flying purple cookie eating brownies!

ZELDA FANFIC! *has a seizure*
Crap, this makes me want to put my story... D:
I read something on DeviantART earlier that I totally agree with, and I was about to type it in my own words, were it not for multi-window browsing. Speak of da Devil!
[quote=AngelKatie]
I suuuck because I don't update like I say I will!
But you know what sucks more???
People ---- people who buy next-gen gaming consoles WHO DON'T REALLY WANT THEM!!
See, I understand that consoles like the Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 are going to be in high demand when they come out - (well, not so much the xbox... I keep seeing stacks of those everywhere) - that's the nature of the beast, as it were.
I was a little disturbed that people were basically mauling each other for PS3s - there was a lot of muggings and general violence over them. I also knew that the PS3s were selling for thousands on eBay which make such little sense to me - but I guess if you REALLY want one and have that dough to spend...
No, what ticks me off is this - people buying these consoles purely for the purpose of reselling them at ungodly prices.
What's so wrong about that? Nothing is wrong with it from a business point of view - in fact it's rather smart.
But I can't help but feel frustrated knowing that these consoles are hard enough to get ahold of as it is - why do these people have to go out and slim the chances by buying them when they don't even want to enjoy them??
Some of them even have the gall to flaunt it around, too --
I recently entered a promotion on Amazon.com to be randomly selected for a claim code to buy a Wii. The promotion itself sucked because it wasn't like you were getting the console for free - just a chance to buy one. Anyway.... the selection finishes, I didn't win - that's fine. But no sooner has this happened than someone goes and posts on the forum saying:
"I won a wii. I didn't really want it - but it's cool I won."
......Excuse me? What?
Completely disregarding those my age, and myself, who wanted the wii personally I can't help but think of parents out there who are scrambling to get their kids these gifts for Christmas. People are claiming that these parents have kids that are spoiled brats, but I don't think that's the case. My Santa presents were always the one thing, as a kid, that I could get that were amazing. I could ask Santa for a game system and it was okay - and maybe, maybe I'd get one. It made me believe Santa could do anything - it instilled the Santa magic in me. Certainly Mom couldn't afford it right? I know better know but what's gonna happen when these kids wake up and don't get the console they've been wishing for? I hope they'll handle it well - by all means I'm not saying the kids aught to throw a fit if they don't get one....but how many kids aren't getting them because of these money grubbing asses who buy them purely for making the wads of extra cash?
Anyone heard of smashmywii.com? These guys went out, stood in line, bought the wii, only to smash it to pieces with a sledgehammer when they got outside. It's a stunt I know - to get reactions. But a child somewhere could have used that console! That console could have gone to Child's Play for god's sake!
Rant rant rant.
I think I'm done.

O_o... tentacle rape and Zelda? I never thought I'd hear those in the same sentence.
How about this one for ya: Christian Zelda. It was just so, so wrong... _________________ Baker of the radioactive three-eyed flying purple cookie eating brownies!

Guess who also just got a wii?
That's right, I did. And right now I'm using it to browse blackstar. This thing is not so easy to type with... _________________ ~Goron~

Congrats, Goron, and yeah, it's not so much fun to type with... when are they gonna make a Wii-board?
I DEMAND A WIRELESS WII KEYBOARD, NINTENDO!
Then we can justify making a layout just for Wii-browsing. Yeah. :3 _________________

Damn, I can't browse the net with mine, the connector to the Wii is completely different to every other console and the modem, and we've yet to find a USB to Ethernet (or the other way around, I forget) cable that can connect them :S.
Anyway, congrats Goron. What games ya got? .
And despite my earlier comments, I'm actually rather liking Red Steel, it's kinda like a cross between an arcade shooter and an FPS with added swordplay for bosses _________________ Baker of the radioactive three-eyed flying purple cookie eating brownies!

As soon as I get the chance I'm going to go get some new games, all I have is Wii Sports/Play, the ones it came with (SUCKS). Besides Red Steel, anyone got any suggestions?
The Wii's got a built-in wireless adapter (WiiConnect 24), so I'm using that. It's the first time since I got wireless that I'm actually thankful for it. The browser is downloadable from the Wii-Store (you need a connection to get to it), and is powered by Opera. It feels so Mac-ish. >.> But if you're going to get the internet channel, I recommend you do it with the next month. After June 30th, the internet channel will cost 500 Wii points... $5 American.
From what I can tell, online play is going to take a different type of adapter... or something like that. *Goes back to wikipedia*
And the Wii has two USB ports for... things... I wonder if it will take a keyboard... hmm... I'm at school right now (not using my Wii ), but I'll try it when I get home. _________________ ~Goron~

If you don't get Zelda I'm going to send Addman around to maul you and break your cookies... or was that maul the cookies and break you? I can never remember what Addman says half the time.
Get all the classics as well, such as Mario 64, Lylat Wars and many more! I sound like a spokesman for Nintendo now. *shuts up* _________________
