Massive power failure

Well, those of us in the United States are aware of the massive windstorm that swept through Washington on Thursday night...My little city of Bellevue made national news, apparently. Over 1.5 million people without power immediatly after the storm. Well, my house is currently still out of power, no repair crews anywhere to be found. I am using the computer of a friend only a few miles away who has power. I'm actually supposed to be doing homework but I'm taking advantage of the opportunity to get a message out. Yeah, our house has not had a single amp of electricity since Thursday. Even if I do get a generator, I still use cable and won't be able to access the internet until they get the power lines out of the street and back onto their poles where they belong. Rolling Eyes

Until I am able to come back to active duty here...which could be, by the estimates, up to a week more...For the roleplays I am currently participating in, or at least 'was', I am giving permission to the other participants to make me an NPC until I return. So sorry for holding all you guys up, especially in the Vampiric North RP. Now I gotta go and do a damn webquest on AIDS Evil or Very Mad

Wow, guess your reduced to level of primitives. You'll have to scavenge for food, and depend on your own resourcfulness.

i live in washington too, but i live on the other side of the mountains.
i wasn'tt affected besides the fact my dad works in seattle and comes back only every weekend, and he dosn't get paid 'cause his shop has no power.

hmmm... Hmm.... HMMMMM!!!!....

Apparently, A few days ago, Steam (www.steampowerd.com) 's account database server went offline due to a powerfailure. Sucky too, As I wanted to buy the Halflife 1 collection with Team fortress Classic, AND I wanted to play gmod.... So for that entire day I couldent play my many games that where on steam...

This is all Im going to post about that. And yes, It is related to the powerfailure. Reread it if ya dont get it Wink

You do know that Steam can be put to Offline Mode so you can play the games you have on it, don't you? Well, it doesn't work for most people but I have had success on getting it to work with my awesome ingenuity and brain power. Wink

Yeah, the dumbass Pugit Sound Power dudes finally got round to our neighborhood and hooked us back up. But, the dumbass Comcast workers are still nowhere to be found, meanwhile their internet cables continue to enjoy the sweet taste of asphalt. Idiots.

Sucks to be you EnDSchultz, sorry to hear that you still got no proper internet, you can't trust anyone these days, I lately just found out that no one plotted my Grandfathers grave and my Grandmother had to direct the Headstoners to the right place, I mean, does that sound like competent workmanship to you?
Anyway, I hope your internet is up and running by Christmas, hoepfully. Or, if it's already Christmas in the states, by Boxing Day. Razz
