Twas the Night before X-mas...

"Captain Goron eh? Well captain hold on." Alakin grinned as he piloted (badly) the Manta Fighter towards the Puma.

"Yes, Captain!" Goron yelled to Alakin as the loading ramp closed. He stumbled into the gunner's seat and took a look at his console.

"Also... learn to drive!" Goron said as he manned the 110mm. He sprayed a bit of suppression fire on the ECers below, not aiming to harm them, but rather to "herd" them.

"What can I say? I'm in the holiday spirit, and I give the gift of not killing them."

((Feel free to present us some challenges, Evil Council. Not just fighting us, but random occurences for instance. Despite the fact that we kidnapped him, Cornelius is still your character, and if I recall, you deciding his death has been the norm.))

"It's not my fault I can't drive this! I don't take driving lessons, you know!" Alakin complained as he narrowly avoided crashing the Manta into a forest.

*Angel totters out onto her balcony in the main cave and rubs her eyes, the sound of gunfire from the cave entrance has woken her from her snooze and she is NOT happy.

she swings her self over the stone railing, a new addition since Ajaxons arrival, and flaps lazily across the space towards the entrance. only after getting out side does she realise she is barefooted and without armour.

the sight of the retreating vehicles and the pursuers crashing through the woods is slightly baffling but she just flaps higher to get a better view. she goes to call her fellow EC members and ask about it but her comm device is also back in her rooms,*

jhokan tri'th bakka reiyu- *a stream of awful sounding swearwords tumbles effortlessly from her mouth, strong enough to curdle air. not only has she been rudely awoken, had NO coffee and come out bare footed but also there are no Corneliuses around to kill! waiiit... she begins searching thoroughly and spots him in the Guardian registered truck.

she growls, now fully awake, and swoops towards Seph on him motorbike and flies along side*

What's going on?! why is Cornelius not DEAD YET?! *she yells over the wind and noise*

Sekhmet tilts her head in puzzlement at Panther's reply. Sarcasm was not the usual response to being shot at. Levelling the laser cannon at the other feline, she called out, "Lookss to me like you're outgunned. Cease your purssuit, or you will have more than scorched fur to worry about."

"Snap! Get in the gunner seat, I'm driving!" Goron said as he tore the wheel from Alakin and took his place in the pilot seat, "Alright, buckle up for safety!"

The Manta performed a mid-air roll, and pulled up above the forest. Goron set the ship into auto-pilot for a moment, stood up, and walked over to the sys ops panel. He scanned the area below, locking on to the Puma. Noting the obstacle in it's path, he returned to the pilot seat.

"C'mon, we've got work to do," Goron noted to Alakin.

"Goron to Puma, come in. You've got a dangerous obstacle ahead. I would suggest an alternate route, but that forest looks pretty dense. We'll try to clear it out for you."

The Manta soared low over the forest, decreasing its speed as not to lift the Puma off the ground when it passed over.

"I'm going to do an overhead fly-by of the roadblock. Your job is to blow them away with anyone of our weapons," Goron instructed Alakin, then on a more conservative note, " except the nuke. Don't try that."

[Sephirothsicase]

*Seph pulled the bike to the left and started up again with a large roar, going around the side of the ogres as the arm slams into the ground that Cloud and he had been only five seconds ago.*

Hold on Cloud!

*Seph leans forward and pulls out of a large pocket attached to the bike, a large rifle, He places it over what he thought was Clouds lap.*

Take this. We'll need it.

*He placed a futuristic looking helmet over his head and pulled the red visor down, he revved the engine loudly before shooting off after Goron.*

[Cloud]

((Hey, a rifle! I still assume that the Manta Fighter is only just a step in front of us.))

*Cloud smiled a little, he knew the fun had just been cranked up a notch. He picks up the rifle and begins to aim it at the Fighter, most notably the gunner. *

*Meanwhile*

Cornelius: I really should be getting back. The EC will be annoyed at me for not dying. The last time they covered me with jam and set loose giant ants after me, I was in agony for 3 weeks before I finally succumbed to death.

*Cornelius had been with the EC for a long time so death was the only thing he knew. He hoped that there was a heaven since it would be filled mostly with many copies of him. This was the only reason he stayed with the EC, death had turned into excitement for him.*

((Yeah, pretty much. ))

"Damn Transportation Fairies..." Kiba mumbled to himself, realizing that the Black Forest was not next to the Wilds... "They need to mind their ow- What the hell?!"

The getaway vehicle screeched to a stop infront of a few large rocks. He slammed the wheel with his paw angrily- an EC member had gotten here first. "Feline! Do you see anyone? We need to keep Mr. Cornielius from getting killed as much as possible."

Panther swished her tail angrily. "Really? You think you can get me that easily?" Her wings slowly sucked themselves into her back with a sickly slurping noise. She crouched down, bit her feet, and started rolling around in a ball- much like an armadillo. She spun towards Sekhmet; aiming to ram her.

((The Manta fighter's actually quite some distance away, near Kiba, and the gunner (which is now Alakin, I took over driving) seat is inside the cockpit.

But I'll give you benefit of the doubt. The Rifle has a kick-ass scope and infrared targeting with armor piercing rounds.))

((Yeah, we're really the peacemakers. White Mage Magic you say? No, I've got me a A903 Manta Ray Starfighter! Ye-haw! ))

((No, we never said we were peacemakers, we're balance keepers. And in this case, we're keeping the balance in our favor.

And I personally beleive in a combination of technological and mystical arts. Unfortunately, my character is really only the tech side. I would very much like it if we might get some mystical arts going here from someone else.

Hey, don't look at me, I was kidding when I asked to be picked up in this thing. Heavy combat operations only, it's not like we have more than one of these!
