So I have to gloat . Got it yesterday, and got Wii Sports, Wii Play, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Red Steel.
Wii Sports is extremely fun, especially when playing against someone else . Although I did hit my bf accodentally with my controller while we were playing baseball heh.
Wii Play is ok, it's actually not quite as fun as Wii Sports, but oh well.
I've only had half an hours worth of LoZ play time since we got the thing, however I'm finding it very good .
Haven't played Red Steel yet, but I hear the controls aren't very easy to get used to. My bf's description was: imagine the controls for the Warthog in Halo... only not, as useful as that was _________________ Baker of the radioactive three-eyed flying purple cookie eating brownies!

*joins the club*
My step-dad went and got it as an 'early christmas present' for everyone, but that's really just his excuse to buy himself one. Not that I care, considering that I get to play it too (for about a week until I leave ). We've got Wii Sports, Wii Play, Legend of Zelda and Call of Duty 3 (I think, or some other army one that sounds similar to that).
Wii Sports is pretty fun for multiplayer stuff, though I don't get how so many people in America have managed to break their windows and stuff whilst playing - half the time it doesn't even matter how fast or hard you're moving the controller .
Wii Play is a good game to teach someone how to use the controller, and I'd say that's pretty much it's only purpose. It does have a few interesting games, but some aren't all that great.
Zelda is fuelled by pure awesome (as always ) - I think we've played close to 20 hours now and we're maybe halfway (probably not even that though).
I haven't played Call of Duty 3 or whatever it is myself, and I probably won't unless I get extremely bored between now and Saturday, so I can't really say what it's like. _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

One of the reasons I'm not getting one is because I think I'd play Zelda 24-7 and never get any work done. The other reason is because I can't afford it. _________________

You sound worried about Red Steel, but wh? Who WOULDN'T love a samuri fighting game with guns?
Congrats on the Wii! Can I play? _________________ If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed.

I wanted a Wii, but I was a little iffy about all the damage reports people keep complaining about. (That, and my dad would be so pissed if I broke his TV... *shudders* ) IMHO, the XBOX 360 is better. MWAHAHAHAHHAH!
*cough*
Still, you gotta love Zelda. How's that crazy dungeon with the magnetic rocks and stuff coming along? It looked good in the previews. _________________ Don't blink. Don't sleep. Monsters are falling from the sky. |

...Heh... Hehehe... MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! My evil scheme is coming to fruition! Soon, you will all have the so-alled 'Nintendo Wii'! Then, thanks to playing too much Zelda, you'll all get RSI and no longer be able to RP, ensuring the EC's domination of the RP community! MUAHAHAHAHAhahahaha..? Damnit! We're not supposed to play it, 3kul!
*Looks around at all the various EC members, who were now playing Zelda on the Nintendo Wii.*
...Ah, screw it. Anyone up for a game of.. Of... Hey, is Zelda multiplayer yet? _________________
Bah, Give me 2 days and a load of napalm...
So you dominate the RP community of only you. Good luck with that!
Zelda's not multiplayer, and I doubt it will ever be. _________________ ~Goron~

Actually you don't have to move it around that much, the sensors are pretty sensitive... All I've managed to do is hurt my shoulder from playing bowling. The proper games are perfectly fine to sit down in front of .

Damn you 3kul, damn you! I've only just started chasing that monkey.
On the other hand, pure awesome... oh yessss....

I don't know how people manage that, there's a strap on the controller that you're supposed to put around your wrist so that doesn't happen. They must throw their arms around too hard when it's not attached, so it goes flying out of their hands. The only reason I hit my bf was because he was standing right next to me when I was batting .
... Not at that dungeon yet

Congrats on the Wii! Can I play? Wink |
Course you can Kat, you just have to draw up plans to come to England, I'll meet ya at the plane station, then you can play .
... But you have to help me overthrow the monarchy and the prime minister first
As for Red Steel, I had a go on it. It's a lot easier to get used to than I thought it would be, and is awesome. I also get what he meant by the Warthog controls now, moving is very similar to driving the Warthog. The gun aiming is also extremely accurate...
Now I have to go destroy all those gaming mags that gave it bad reviews cause they didn't like it _________________ Baker of the radioactive three-eyed flying purple cookie eating brownies!

Both the Four Swords that was built into the Zelda: A Link to the Past GBA game and the Four Sword Adventures game for Gamecube were made to be played as multiplayer Zelda games.
As for how I'm going with the current Zelda game, it's hard to say where exactly I'm up to without spoiling too much. I'm aiming to finish the game before I go away on holidays though (from the looks of things I think I'll be able to), so I can let you know when I've finished it.

Exactly. The people who have accidents with hurling their controllers through the TV or nearby windows and stuff must be pretty dumb, most parts of Wii games that I've played so far rely on accuracy, not power. For example, absolutely tearing your arm off as you swing in Wii Sports Tennis does not grant you some kind of almighty smash (although the way I've seen some people play I have to wonder what they're expecting ), the player next to you who makes a casual arm movement gets exactly the same amount of power. If you get tired from these kinds of movements, then I imagine that you'd struggle to endure through other such strenuous exercises, like eating a meal or moving around the house. As for the batteries, you don't need to wait for them to charge, all you have to do is replace them with new batteries when they die. _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

...Why the hell did Spook spot that when I didn't 0.0? Damnit Swix, your Wii has made me stray off the path of what is truly important: Gratuitous amounts of Smut! _________________
Bah, Give me 2 days and a load of napalm...
