I've been meaning to start a new comic for quite a while... And this is what I came up with. The definition of Kamaitachi on the Wiki is:

| Kamaitachi (鎌鼬), or "sickle weasel" is the name given to a bizarre Japanese folk tradition. It refers to a phenomenon where people would be suddenly knocked down by a strong gust of wind and find that they had been cut. The cut was supposedly so fine that it did not hurt at first, but would invariably become infected. This phenomenon was dubbed, "kamaitachi" and blamed on malevolent kami who thirsted for human blood. Kamaitachi were said to be born in triplets, and the three siblings act together in their attacks; the eldest hits the victim so that he/she falls, the second slashes with the sickle and the youngest partially heals the wound in order to make it harder to recognise. |
It ends up explaining about half of the comic- It revolves around the daily lives of three Kamaitachi. Magical weasles. *chuckles sheepishly* It'll start after the Christmas rush is over (otherwise I might forget it in all the crap that happens this time of year...  ) and everything settles down a bit. Onto the character profiles! (More will be added as this comes along.)
Tsubasa
Status: First-born, The Wind.
Gender: Female
Blood-Type: O
Chinese Zodiac: Ox
Personality in Four Words: Honest, Steady, Trustworthy, Born Leader
Description: Tsu (as she prefers) is everything one would want in a leader. She'd very calm, and can change battle plans in a blink of an eye. She usually wears a short, black kimono-turned-punk outfit. She is also rarely seen without glasses- it isn't known if she actually needs these or not. Her favorite game is japanese chess (Go). She adores spicy foods, but hates anything that's too sweet.
Appearance: In addition to the clothes above, Tsu is a light tan weasle with a black stripe from her nose to her tail. She has the ability to adjust her wings from nonexistance to really, really large. They look like a dove's wings, except they have a claw at the top joint and five intermingled with the feathers.
Metaru
Status: Second-born, The Blade
Gender: Male
Blood-type: B
Chinese Zodiac: Monkey
Personality in Four Words: Hotheaded, Takes Risks, No Respect for Authority, Party Animal
Description: Metaru is what one would except from a class clown. His disobediance often leads him into alot of trouble- especially since he has the nasty habit of gambling. And drinking. At the same time. Tsu and Chou are the ones that have to fend off angry mobsters and pay his bar tab. Despite his crazy attitude, he'll do anything for a friend, and anything to get back at someone. His favorite game is Go Fish. He dislikes most foods (a very picky eater), but he'll do anything for something really sour or salty.
Appearance: Like Tsu, Metaru is light tan. He has a brown raccoon mask as his marking, and two rings on his tail. He seldom carries his Sythe around, but he can summon it at will.
Chou
Status: Third-Born, The Healer
Gender: Male
Blood-type: A
Chinese Zodiac: Rabbit
Personality in Four Words: Softie, Child-like, Too Trusting for his own Good, Blissfully Ignorant
Description: Chou means butterfly in Japanese, which aludes to his personality. He's flighty and day-dreams often- usually involving his stuffed fox, Kawaii; he carries the ratty thing around constantly. His favorite game is Tag. He eats almost any food, and adores sickly-sweet things (AKA candy, which he can be bribed with quite easily).
Appearance: Chou is a pale tan color with grey/brown spots in various places. The thing that stands out, though, is his blond hair. He isn't too vain, and rarely spends any time on it, so it often juts out in weird angles. During battle, he carries a glowing latern with the Japanese Kanji 'Ai' on it. ('Ai' means love. Do I have to explain everything?!  )
I'm sorry I don't have any pictures up, I'll do a few later. ^^ More lists!

Sounds interesting, hopefully it'll be up and ready by the time I get back  . I'm just a little confused though - is the comic to be called 'Kamaitachi' or 'Kamitachi'?
