((I'm like apprentice flypaper! :O ))

Panther sat under a tree in the surrounding area of the Training Dojo, skylarks and other avians twittering to one-another. The one called Menelvagor had sent a PM ghost asking for assistance in training, and the changeling had accepted. She'd been a sensei before, to the rabicat, Leporidae, who wanted to enter the Council of Evil. The training was succesful in more ways than one. Lep disbanded the Guardians and entered the Council, an occasion celebrated with batches of imitation Pixie Punch and much Cornelius slayings.

She unsheathed its claws and inspected them with a scrutinizing eye, whislit singing.

I don't feel the way I've ever felt.
I know.
I'm gonna smile and not get worried.
I try but it shows.

Anyone can make what I have built.
And better now
Anyone can find the same white pills.
It takes my pain away.

It's a lie. A kiss with opened eye-

A snap of a twig and the rustling of bushes interrupted her singing. "Come forward, new apprentice." She said indifferently, waiting for Menelvagor to come forward. It couldn't be anyone else, the inexpierience showed by his tripping footsteps.

Menelvagor stumbled into the clearing, spotting pan He walked forward and bowed politley to Her.

"hello ,Teacher. How did you know it was me?"

Menelvagor grinned, Straightening up he said.

"Nothing in particular. Perhaps just some basic training in combat and maybe shapeshifting. Or is shapeshifting not a learnable skill?"

Menelvagor sat down waiting paitently for Pan to speak.

((Good, just remember that 'straightening' is an adverb, only pronouns and the beginnings of sentences are capitalized.))

Panther though for a moment. "Shapeshifting is a very difficult skill to learn and is usually only implimented when the subject is very young... It takes years to learn when one has matured. I guess it could be possible to alter one's structure into fooling the technique... The only person who I know that could do that is Rai." She smiled inwardly, this could end up like Leporidae's training- the apprentice running off to retrieve something. "If you want, you can undertake the quest of getting a potion from someone to alter you body's main compostion. I'd rather save that for later, though, as you might need basic combat skills first." She took a fighting stance and swished her tail abruptly. "Try to strike me in the stomach."

Menelvagor's grin broadend.

"Yes ma'm"

Springing forward he attempted to hit Pan with a spinning back kick.

Panther crouched, grabbed her legs, and rolled around to where Menelvagor was standing before. When she stood upright, she ran for the nearest tree and swiftly made her way up to a branch in the middle. She sat on it, dangling her legs, and said, "Is that the best you've got? C'mon, I know you're better than that."

Menelvagor looked stunned.

"What the..."
He ran straight at the tree as if he was going to ram it, then at the last second he leaned back and ran several feet up it, grabing a branch and swinging himself up, he began to climb swiftly up the tree.

"Ah, chasing the opponent... It always ends up Cat and Mouse." Her fur turned a deep brown and her tail grew quite long and shed itself of spines. Panther's hands became more hook-like and latched onto a branch above. The rest of her stayed the same, albiet a small white patch on her chest. She placed each 'hand' over the other and found many footholds that any normal person would miss climbing up this tree.

Menelvagor continued to climb up the tree shouting as he went.
"There are few who can outclimb the wood elves"

He suddenly thought of a plan, he dropped from the tree with a cry and hit the ground, then he lay still.

Panther stopped as Menelvagor dropped to the ground, sitting on a thick branch. She cocked her head from side to side as she watched his still form; waiting for something to happen. Becoming slightly worried that he could have hurt himself and bring on a court case with... lawyers... she hesitantly made her way back down to him. "Oi, get up, get up!" The shapeshifter said, jabbing his side with her foot. "Get up before the lawyers come, eh? Lazy bum."

Swining his feet around suddenly Menelvagor struck out for Pan's leg.
Crying out as he did so "HA gotcha."

Panther zipped up into an overhanging brach, curling her tail around it and swinging upside down. "Now, now, that's not the way you should behave, hmm? You can do better!" She burst into a wide, toothy grin, as she swung slowly back and forth, arms folded behind her head.

"Okay teacher" Menelvagor grinned muttering "I still fooled you."
Then he leaped up grabbing the branch that Pan was on And began to shake it as hard as he could, hoping to dislodge her.

Panther still clung to the branch, more tightly than ever. "Hey, I didn't use this form for nothin', kid." She yawned and smiled again, this time dropping to the ground of her own will. After brushing herself off, she addressed Menelvagor again. "I've thought of something for you to do, now. I have accidentally left my favorite CD at home, see? And, now, I'm music-less." She pointed to her small CD player by the base of a tree. It was a monochrome color with a few buttons here and there; each label on them was slightly faded. "It's at Rai's place, I was over there last night. You know her, right? Eccentric alchemist? She's in a room at the Bunker. She'll give it to you." The shapeshifter cracked her neck and went to sit by her player. "Well, what are you waiting for? Get goin'!"

((Quick tip: keep Word open when you type your posts- copy and paste it over to spell-check, then paste it back here. And try to make posts a tad more descriptive. Nobody likes somebody who runs around making one-liners all the time! It makes me look bad... Put yourself in your character's shoes and describe everything, what they see, what they feel (externally and internally), what they hear; the whole kit-n-caboodle. ))
