Unfortunately for the both of you, because I do live in the States, I kinda have no choice but to conduct my business in the US Dollar...

The number of boards is bugging me again.
Is there any way to reduce their number, possibly?

In particular, I'd like to merge the Unexplored areas together.

I suggested that a while ago and got told most people prefered them seperate.

But I wouldn't complain if a few boards were merged.

The main problem I can see, is that only the Wilds is getting used for RP's... and that's a shame. Sad

Not sure what to do about it - do people prefer to have all the RP's in one section, or several?

Hmm, that's a toughie since we could try and start up a few regional roleplays to get more use out of them. Show people that they are allowed to use them.. Especially since merging the frozen regions and the desert regions will result in global warming and we'll all be DOOMED!!!

Personally I think it would be more practical to group the boards by function rather than location. So The Underground Bunker, Dojopolis, The Wilds and the two Unexplored boards could be merged into one public RP board. And then just make it a policy that people need to say where in the Dojo's landscape an RP takes place. Esspecially since so many RP's cover multple areas. Technically once DP introduced the idea of the artifacts Corperate Development 1 could have been split into 5 seperate RP's, each in the board relevant to its location (except we didn't have the Dojopolis board back then).

I'm a forum minimalist so if it was my board I'd also merge Bugs and Features into Announcements and merge Greetings into General Chat.
And following the theme of grouping stuff by function rather than location I'd put all the boards for a specilist group, such as the Corrupted Cave, The Sanctuary, The Norn Garden and the Guardians Citadel together, put the Hall of Records and the Genetic Repository together...

And by that point I've lost track of what it would look like. Laughing

Of course this is just my opinion, and I'm willing to accept whatever happens.
I just think that as useful as it is to distinguish where each building/location is in the Dojo landscape we need to make some consessions for our real selves who see it as a list of boards and need to keep track of where to post what.

Anyways, I support what Danikat says. In case you haven't noticed, we've had multiple threads (not just CD) in the wilds that make their way all over Blackstar (even off planet).

I agree with 3kul.. I fail to see a major issue with the forum as it is. I wholeheartedly disagree with merging greetings with anything else, since we get a lot of replies in greetings, and I'd much rather read greetings threads in a greetings section, and general chat thread in a general chat section. It certainly makes life easier.

If we did have any additional boards, then I'd start to worry. But since we don't, then there's no major reason to worry really is there. I think the forum is fine as is and should remain as is..

But then, that is just my opinion... Wink
