New Donation Policy

Ok, mainly because it's been a couple of weeks since the last donation (don't worry, Blackstar is in no danger of going down), I'd like to make a policy change that some of you *eye's Goron* might want to notice.

From this point on, I'll give you 500 Yen

per $1 US you give, without a cap.

Call it a one-way cash exchange (I will not convert Yen

into real money at this or any rate)

I was planning to give you money next time I get my loan though - in other words January.

Until then I don't have money to give unfortunately. Unless you feel like convincing the supermarket to give me free food?

Now, I have real life demands, so I'm not going to be able to conjur that much from this... but you can expect a sizeable donation around April.

I'm liking this idea lots. This has no connection what-so-ever to the fact that I want to buy some things for the kittem I'm gonna get for my birthday in January.

Nice idea, but forgive me if I rain on everyone's parade.... Blackstar does not have the resources to do much more than pay for it's hosting, at the moment. So don't get excited.

As well, "benefits" would require a number of things. Firstly, a membership of thousands, not a hundred. Hundreds of paying members. Plus, we'd need coders. Quite a number of them, to work on maintaining and building the forum. Artists. Beta testers, and Moderators.

Right now, I'm actually not sure what all of our Mod's do. Anyone care to share with the ignorant pony? Wink

So yeah.... if you're dreaming of a job running Blackstar, you might want to learn PHPBB and scripting and stuff like that, or work on your artistic skills, since those are the two areas that would most likely become paid, if (And it's a BIG IF) it ever happens.

Guys, that was a joke. As Embri pointed out, there are no benefits! You do this job for the reward of seeing the site alive... nothing else.
