It is often unclear for his clan have human characteristics and emotions, but also seem to have other darker almost demonic traits.

Description:
Erikarn basically looks like a tall human male, about twenty or so. His facial features are quite hollow and sunken, as if skin had just been stretched over bones in his face. Skin itself is at an extreme pale, border lining pure white. He's quite gangly but rather muscled at the same time.

His eyes are his most striking feature although. A gold-ish yellow, the pupils are slit like a cat's and remain thin constantly, even when switching from darkness to bright light when the eyes would usually focus.

‘True’ Form Description:
When Erikarn is in a blind rage or extremely emotional, he may be forced into this form, but by simply taking off the black bracelet he constantly wears on his right hand, he can also change to this form. While this happens, Erikarn either has no control over his body, working on pure instinctual rage or the demon possessing him controls his body for a short while. Either way, he only catches a few blurred images of what his true form does to the outside world.
His face and most of his body remain the same while in this form apart from a few changes. Arms mutate painfully to large and long sizes while his hands grow bigger, forming into claw like shapes. Large black feathered but ragged wings grow from his back, tipped by large claws. Finally, ram like horns, a greyish brown curve from his head.

Physical Abilities:
Because of his bloodline, Erikarn is naturally stronger and faster then ordinary people though not on an entirely different level in comparison with humans. From a very young age he was taught hand-to-hand combat and even if not necessarily talented in the field, is a strong and experienced fighter.

Supernatural Abilities:
One of his abilities his having near complete control of shadows. With a swipe of his hand, he can cause the shadows to rear up and become solid, or shift round his feet like liquid. Not only being a defence against other magical arts, he can command to kill others though this remains a last resort because of the difficultly he has with it.

Sensing other’s auras is another gift of his. After a moment’s concentration, he can tell much about a person, their alignment for example, or sometimes even their own supernatural abilities if it is flaunted enough.

Background History:
A little background first of all might be necessary.
The Dalsiel family, or clan, go back thousands of generations to early ages. A family in utter disgust at the world, vowed into darkness after being tricked into a harbouring an ancient and powerful demon in their lineage. This demon, born of the hate and fear of humans, threatened the existence of man itself. Thus it was sealed into the bloodline of the Dalsiel family but barely. Not only was the powerful seal able to hold back the demon for less then two thousand years but it also had horrific effects for the Dalsiel family. Though they were ‘blessed’ with magical abilities, they were also cursed with the hatred the demon had for humans and other irritations such as the fear of daylight. The worst impact was the people who actually had the demon sealed within them were often driven insane before their adulthood with the constant torture by the bored and repressed demon. These people were known as Davean, and bore a strange marking on their backs and were condemned to a lifetime of solitude and darkness. As soon as the current died Davean, he or she would be replaced with a new child born to suffer the harsh fate of this position.

And so this brings us to the present. The time for the seal to break draws closer, and the current Davean, or so it is rumoured, is the actual reincarnation of the demon ‘Sarmael’. Otherwise Erikarn. The last of Davean, he also unusual being the only of his family to stand against Sarmael’s torture.

History:
Erikarn’s story is one of solitude and darkness. From a young age, he was constantly under torture from the demon trapped inside him. When he was five years old, he was taken from his parents and kept ‘under controlled conditions’ for others safety. Five years passed, and when his Mother was allowed to see her son again, in a fit of rage at the way he had been maltreated like most Daveans were, killed her. His Father who was there also managed to escape but became insane because of the incident afterwards and so far has been treated in a place unknown to Erikarn.

His sister is truly his only ‘living’ relative in this world now. Though Erikarn has a fondness for her, his sister loathes him for what he did to their family.
But Erikarn rarely dwells on the awful things he has done, preferring to blame others, his demon for example, or simply not caring at all.
At the age of fourteen he became tired by being trapped by his family. He escaped their bonds and wandered round the land. He now spends most of his time evading his family that constantly try to capture him.

Alignment:
Though trying to do the ‘right’ thing, Erikarn has little moral sense and his opinion is often vague and easily changed by others. Though he does try to help when he sees an opportunity, his chaotic side often forces him to see things differently to other people leading him to do dark deeds.

Personality:
Erikarn has a rather erratic personality that changes when his mood shifts. He usually acts bored, uninterested in most things in life but this is literally an act. He does want to enjoy life more. But holds back for many reasons. In this state he rarely responds, barely lifts his head. He doesn’t even try. As if mentally tired from something.

His true personality only surfaces from time to time. It’s a confident, witty nature, but it’s rare to see in Erikarn. He preferred to suppress it in his younger days, and slowly it has been disappearing from him. This outgoing part of him somewhat reflects in whatever he does for he is unafraid to tease, mock, and insult no matter who the person.

The vicious temper he has is another part not often seen. But though he is an easily irritated person, the annoyance he feels is kept bottled up. This can cause him to literally explode with temper, or even ‘implode’ within himself at times when the pressure on him is too great. This necessarily isn’t his own fault, more so his demon taking advantage of his easy irritation.

Demonic side and exterior.
Though a powerful demon, Sarmael can rarely release himself fully without great effort so he prefers to control his host’s body with ease when he needs to. During this time, the host’s mind is suppressed and kept in darkness so deep, he or she can only catch the blurred images of what Sarmael does while in control of their body. Generally he

The demonic side of Erikarn and all the Daveans has been rumoured as terrifying, being modelled on the actual form of Sarmael.

Known Weaknesses:
Though is knowledge in the dark arts may great, Erikarn does suffer because of his magical abilities. The constant blinding pain he feels is just one side effect. Though numb to it after a lifetime, it still does affect him and even seems to worsen when he invokes his ‘magical abilities.’

His greatest weakness is the sun. He is unable to be in direct sunlight without his skin prickling and eyes blurring. Even just during the daylight hours, he grows tired more easily and has practical handicap with his demon magic.

Personalities’ weaknesses, Erikarn tends to forget easily pain inflicted on him by others. Unfortunately, this can lead him to follow others with cruel intentions, in the belief that they are still trying to help him.

Noted ‘Allies’:

Sarmael: A terrifying demon that bears a grudge against humanity and nature in general. Little else is known apart from his mythical creation, his ability to control the night and his cynical and misleading demeanour.

The Dalsiel Clan: A family shrouded in mystery; earliest reports of them go back nearly ten thousand years. Burdening the demon Sarmael, they have been cursed with control over the night and the trait of the yellow eyes with slit pupils that have been passed down the generations. They are spread across the world though few remain in this day, their numbers dwindling dangerously to about a hundred or so.

Layla: Bearing a grudge against Erikarn though ironically being the only person he trusts, Layla is a small girl of about fourteen with a vicious wit and leadership qualities.

Final notes:
Yeah. I’m a little clueless, so don’t bang me up about how this is awful and what not. Constructive criticism if you don’t mind.

((I like it. He sounds like the crazy love child of two of our other members, Seph and Raven. (Though you won't see them around often, there's a running joke between them.) The backstory is nicely written out- it's make a great subject for a tale in the Ampitheatre board. Albiet a little cliche (Being cliche isn't all bad... *points to her own shapeshifter and dragon characters*), it's still one of the most descriptive profiles I've seen yet. I know 3kul will be along soon with his crazy nit-picking abilities, so watch out. xD
