Here is an idea.
-Let’s keep this between folks with the Guardian bar in the left hand panel. (I wonder how long before someone who isn't a Guardian cheats and tries to start something on their own? outside of us.)
Don’t know if the "in character /out of character" thing was ever resolved, so, do what ever you need to, or feel comfortable with.
-In character, in a post have your character say to another character (copy and paste?)
"Tag! You're IT!" That, of course makes that Person (not character) IT.
(for example if I had done this in a recent post, it would look like this:-

Obed replied to Officer Aderes:
"Oh, I'm sorry, sir, with the lights out, I mistook you for a hooligan. Yes, please come in, My name is Obed, and I own this Coffee House. Say, by the way, I have something very important to tell you, and I wouldn't wonder but if our respective problems aren't in some way related."
As officer Aderes approached him, Obed reached out and touched him, saying:
"Tag! You're IT!"
(Obed fills him in on the whole "Warp Generator" problem as thy move back inside. assuming that Officer Aderes does so.) |
Or, if you want to do it Out of Character, you would do something like:

Obed leaves Linda and Officer Devante in the restaurant, as he goes to check out the sewer tunnels for signs of the Jaw creature.
((Hey, by the way GBE:- Tag, You're IT! *Tags GBEl))
Obed enters the underground, and immediately sees signs of 'Jaws'... |
-We should keep it in active threads, but if you go back and put it into a "dead" thread you should PM the new IT person so they know it.
-Please PM the person you just "Tag-ed", so they know it right away and can pass IT along at an early convenience.
-Then that person can use any character to pass along the IT status.
For example: then GBE could use Jho'lak to Tag another character (of a Guardian) that Jho'lak would, in character, interact with.
-Finally, copy and paste the whole post below here, in the "Tag Thread", so reading that thread will tell the whole story of the Tag Game.

"Officer Devante?" Whiteoak asked, "Could you come over here and help me get this young lady un-stuck from the ceiling?"
and with that he reached over to the policeman, touched him lightly on the shoulder and discretely said,
"By the way, Tag you're IT!"
