Bound in blood

[Raven]

The woman sighed contently. Her dark cloths had the metallic smell of blood on them for the first time in months. She licked her lips and tasted the sweet, beautiful taste. The scene of death around her was atrocious - dead bodies littered the streets of the small town and fires blazed. ‘How could I have stopped doing this?’ She thought to herself giggling joyfully. She started to turn and leave when she heard footsteps behind her, unnaturally quiet ones. “Good evening love. May I ask you why you are here… Sacriel?” The footsteps paused, and she heard a faint mutter that sounded like a swear. “Good evening Duibhe. Or, is it Raven now?” The gentle voice belonging to Sacriel asked the dark woman, Raven.

Raven turned around smiling icily. “You always know how to irritate me child.” she hissed at the girl. “Do you have a point to try and die, or are you just being a fool as usual?” Sacriel’s face because almost as white as Ravens. “I will not die.” She said loudly. . But even so it made Raven smile. It may have been loud, but it was completely hollow. Like a bamboo stick, painful and lithe, but so easily broken with the right pressure. “Oh?” Raven said, her voice light and playful. “Then you do have a point!” She smiled at Sacriel, who was trying her hardest to keep a hard look on her face. “Pray, tell what your feeble mind has come up with this time?” Sacriel’s eyes glared up at Raven. “I’m going to defeat you.” She said, not even believing it herself. ‘What am I doing?! I can’t defeat her! She’s too cruel, to powerful for me!’ Sacriel thought, panicked by her own weakness of mind.

Somewhere in the ruined village they hear a baby cry. “Oh, looks like I missed one…” Raven said, a smile growing on her face. “Time for dessert…” She hissed. Raven began down the slight hill towards the house with the child in it, but Sacriel move in her way. “I won’t let you pass!” Sacriel shouted at Raven. “Oh please, you would give your own life for that of a child that will die anyway? HA! I knew you were a fool, but this? This is just pathetic!” She spat at Sacriel, and pushed her aside. Sacriel was thrown into a burning hut. Crashing through the walls she came out the other side, burned and cut and landed hard onto the dead ground.

Raven had reached the hut with the child in it. A cruel, demonic smile lit up her face. The lust for the child’s life was evident in her eyes, in her pose, even the way she moved. “NO!” Came a frantic scream just behind Raven. “Ooops, a bit too late darling…” Raven picked up the child and stroked it head gently with her cold, white hand. “Oh, what a shame… you look like you were only just born…” She cooed to the little child. It was a girl she saw. “Filiolus lux lucis quod atrum! Redimio lemma una ut unus pro umquam! Deceptus is everto intus is parvulus!” Raven heard Sacriel scream at her. “Oh child, do you think a few words are going to hurt m-” She caught suddenly, her body became immobile. “What have you done!” She hissed as her spirit slowly left her body. Sacriel collapsed to the ground. “I’ve stopped you…” Sacriel started violently coughing. That magic had been beyond her. Blood spattered the floor below her as she watched the dark smog that was Ravens spirit inter the child. “God…protect the child…” With her last bit of energy she called some of her brethren to mind the child. And, with a last shudder of her pained body… she died for a final time.

Darkness. Nothing. Alone. Cold. Wait, something bright… what is it? Raven soared through the nothingness inside the child. ‘Can I reach it?’ She thought. She tried to go towards it, but it was impossible. So, she waited…

Consciousness. Breathing? No. I don’t need to. The light, it’s there again. Raven tried to reach it, but to no prevail…’Someday…’ she whispered silently to herself.

Pain! The sensation was delicious after such numbness. The light, it was around her! She could see! Three girls, they were hurting her. Attacking her. ‘How DARE they!’ She hissed to herself. Could she move? A little, but it was hard. These children wouldn’t need much energy anyway…She used the body, made them pay… they would never hurt her again. ‘Should I kill them?’ ‘NO!’ Screamed a voice inside her. ‘Who are you…?’ She said suspiciously before she was thrown into the darkness again… the oblivion.

Floating. The light is out of reach again. ‘I’ll be here forever…’ Raven thought to herself…

The light! It’s brighter then before, all around her! No darkness. Wait, she has a body! Raven opened her eyes with ease. ‘Such a delicious sensation!’ She though happily. Pain, choking. ‘Wait, what’s happening?!’ She thought. Before her was a young man, with yellow eyes with slit pupils. ‘A demon?’ She though. ‘No… but not human either…’ She grabbed his arm which was chocking her, and pulled it off, and slapped him hard enough to make a normal humans neck snap. “Hello darling… who might you be? Well, other then scum.” She hissed.

It had been possibly the first time that someone had dared to hit him. Shock ran through him. The slap, though unexpected would've broken his jaw if he were human. Stunned for those few seconds, he noticed her eyes. Surprise was a short emotion though, for he suddenly grabbed her, and pushed with a roar to the door. 'Don't... call me that, (OMG SWEAR).' Still, even if angry, his voice was barely more then a whisper.

Raven snarled. "I have a name you know!" She glared at him, ignoring him grabbing her. "Call me by it, or die." She hissed at him, her fangs extending and her eyes turning black.

'Do you think I *beeeeping* care?' His voice level raised on the swear, only to die into a whisper again. 'Try it... kill me.' He grinned wildly. 'I love people who I realize what *swear* they've gotten' themselves into dealing with me.' He let go of her. 'Slave, you aren't human, are you?' His yellow eyes studied her new features with interest. 'All the more fun...'

Taking a step forward towards him, Raven’s back seemed to grow. A large cracking noise was heard as black feathery wings grew out of her back and encircled her. "Come, if you dare." Raven said mockingly, enjoying him not knowing who and what she was.
Raven had awoken.

Aara stared through her own eyes. But she couldn’t move. What was this…this…thing?! “Who are you?” Came a cruel voice inside her. “I-I’m Aara. Who are you?” She said, her voice almost breaking with fear. “Ah… so you are my host? I am Raven…you are afraid? I can feel every detail… how odd. Do not worry my love… I will give you what you desire back. But we must share it…here, your body is once again your own.”

A blinding light, and Aara crumpled to the ground, her eyes unfocused and returning to their pale blue. Darkness surrounded her as she fell to the ground. Aara fainted.


*Note ~ Part of this isn't mine. It was a private rp with my friend that I just spliced in xD And I wrote this to (a) Introduce the form of Raven I've grown quite attached to, and (b) Kill off Sacriel I'm killing off Elizabeth as well, but don't fear! I'm making ONE character to replace them in the guardians. I just don't love them. They're too... Mary sue for me now So was Raven so I decided to limit her a bit. I'll write up the character sheets soon and replace the old ones.

Well judging by this story's quality (even if it's not all yours), I'd say you're quite ready to join a RP, Raven. Despite whatever you think about your Role Playing Skills, none of this is in any way bad.

Thanks darling. But unfortunately, I've inherited my mothers perfectionism for drawing and role playing as she has for clean things o.O As I said, as soon as I'm done editing, killing, and splicing my characters I will join a role play. But I never said I would be happy about it.
