((Since I've like, never used Grargs abilities, I figure this may be the best place for this.

Rule: One-on-one, and I want GBE to judge based on points. Oh and it should have a limit of one week))

*Grarg, the larger than average Dusky Grendel stood in the Challenge Arena. Her red eyes scanned the area as she waited for opponents*

Grarg not like fighting

*She mumbled to herself. Brock however had been insistent she learn how to use her 'heir' powers, so she'd come here. Whether or not Hathor would have approved the decision was something she guessed she'd never know, and she found it rather ironic that the heir to the Norn God of Peace had insisted she do this*

Grarg challenge all comers to fight!

*The voice of the Dusky Grendel rang out across the empty Arena*

Shadow stumbled out of a portal and fell flat on his face. He scrambled up and dove at the rift in an attempt to get back through, but it closed, and he was sent flying into a wall face first. As he stumbled back onto his feet once more, he noticed a large Grendel in the center of the arena, calling for a fight. Shadow decided as long as he was stuck here, he was happy to oblige.

The grendel trundeled into the center of the arena still dazed from his impact, and rose to a fighting stance.

"Hit grendel," he said with a grin.

*Grarg stared at Shadow as he walked up to her and got into a fighting stance. The tattoo on her chest, a heart with a rising eagle inside it should be clearly visible to the other Grendel*

Grarg hit new Grendel

*Grarg said, first aiming a sucker punch at Shadows left side*

[Zerrer]

zerrer comes down out of nowhere and lands in a corner of the arena. "you said all comers fight, not only one..." he throws a punch at Grarg stronger than even the hand..

((Dammit Zerrer, out! This is between two Grendels!))

As Shadow sized his opponent up (noting that she was considerably taller than he), he noticed a tatoo on her chest. The tatoo appeared to have a heart and an eagle.

Shadow had abosultely no idea what that meant, and as he pondered it, the Grendel swung around and wailed him in the left side. The punch threw him to the right a foot or two. It hurt... alot.

"Shadow hurt!" said Shadow. After he said it, he realized just how stupid it sounded. He shook his head and rose to his feet.

"Shadow angry!"

This one sounded a tad smarter. Shadow charged his opponent with his fist cocked and came straight up to her face.

"Shadow quite hurt!" he suddenly yelled, and ceased his attack doubled over in pain. He lay at the feet of Grarg clutching his stomach and letting out occassional burps.

~Cramps? Now?! I knew I shouldn't have eaten addman's "special" chocolate cookies for breakfast.~

((Zerrer, I did post rules OOC in my first post. I suggest you learn the difference between OOC and IC. Since you obviously didn't read the rules, I'm going to ignore any further attacks.

If your character wants to watch, then that's fine))

*Since Zerrer had landed near the edge of the Challenge Arena, and Grarg and Shadow happened to be somewhere around the middle, what Zerrer had taken to be Grarg had in fact turned out to be a hologram of the Dusky. It had been made so spectators too far away would still be able to see the action, however since Zerrer had smashed it, a large see through wall rose into the air and covered the two duelling Grendels*

*A sign on the clear screen flashed close to Zerrer, reading:*

This is a One-on-One Challenge. No interference

*Meanwhile, inside the arena Grarg had been quite surprised to find her punch had not only hit it's mark, it had also sent the other grendel flying*

*As Grarg had begun backing away from Shadows attack however, she stopped as he suddenly fell to the floor clutching his stomach*

*Grarg bent over, eyes suddenly full of concern*

New Grendel eat bad food?

*Grarg asked. Well, she was heir to the Goddess of Love and Nature after all, she should show any compassion she was feeling. Currently this was concern*

"Shadow eat detrius," he commented, "Grendel wait."

Shadow turned and sped from the arena.

A minute later he was back looking a lot better.

"Shadow happy. Hit grendel," he said, indicating that he was ready to fight now.

*Grarg watched the Grendel she now knew to be Shadow speed off, and patiently waited for him to come back*

*Once he did, and showed his readiness to fight, Grarg grinned she put both her arms up*

Grarg ready, Shadow ready. Hit Grendel

*Grarg then proceeded to spin around with her tail extended to about chest height*

Shadow dropped to the ground and the tail flew narrowly past his head, shaving off some of his mohawk. This enraged Shadow to no end.

"Shadow intensely angry!"

Didn't that grendel know how long it had taken him to get that thing just right? With a fierce growl he lunged at his opponent claws and teeth bared for a full-body tackle.

*Grarg was completely taken aback by Shadows suddeb change of demeanour, what was it she'd done to make him so angry? Needless to say, the Dusky was bodily bowled off her feet by Shadows charge, landing on her back*

*Grarg felt a low growl start up in her throat, followed by the tattoo she had on her chest glowing briefly. The Dusky's body began to change and shrink, becoming a large, scaly black snake. The snake still had the tattoo however, the pattern showing on the top of her head*

*The snake-Grarg began to coil itself around Shadow, squeezing as it went*

"Gack!" Shadow choked out as the snake began squeezing him. He struggled around, hopping abut the arena being squeezed by the snake. Realizing this was futile, Shadow lowered his head and clamped his jaws down onto... his own arm.

"OWWWWWW!" the grendel yelled, throwing himself backwards into a wall with pain.

A short and brief roleplay. A fairly amusing thread to read and judge. I’m not brilliant with words, but heres the judging:

Swix:

Believability: 7/10 - You roleplayed your character quite well (this being based on seeing the character for the first time on my part).

Powerplay: -2/-10 - I saw no major problems with your actions, the only thing to note was that you actively managed to coil around Shadow before he had any chance to either escape or respond defensively. This was the only thing, and perhaps wording is something to look at.

Inventiveness: 9/10 - The way your successfully handled Zerrer impressed me, rather than get enraged, you roleplayed a believable and insane response. I wasn’t sure about your character, since this is the first time I’ve seen her.

Personality/Flair: 7/10 - The fact that you stayed within your boundaries as a Goddess and the associated powers with her. There was no abuse of your power, but the care and compassion she had even though she was supposed to be beating up Shadow was good work.

Cleverness: 7/10 - Again, namely the way you dealt with Zerrer. Although, the snake attack is something I’ve not seen before, so good marks for that.

Grammer/Spelling: 9/10 - There was the occasional word or piece of grammar. Nothing too major to gripe about. I’ve ignored the spoken wording, since obviously the characters speech capability is limited.

Believability: 6/10 - I’ve seen Shadow in action before, and as always, a delight to follow his progress. Although I was unsure of his dissappearance.Also, the way Shadow turned up, and was automatically ready to fight.

Powerplay: -2/-10 - The fact that Shadow disappeared out of the match, and then returned. In normal rulings, I’m not sure, but it might have been counted as a DQ. But, I’ll let this slide to a certain extent.

Inventiveness: 8/10 - You added a bit of humour to excuse Shadow’s stomach pains. I’m not entirely sure where that came from, but the Mohawk comments particularly humoured me as well as the pitiful responses from Shadow.

Personality/Flair: 8/10 - As mentioned before, Shadow remained well within the personality perameters that I have seen for him. And as always, he delivers.

Cleverness: 6/10 - Not the best competitor that I’ve seen. Nothing major to gripe about.

Grammer/Spelling: 10/10 - There was nothing that I could notice that was wrong with your spelling or grammar.

Fixed. Yes, I do keep check and I've edited my previous post. I hadn't noticed, so my apologies. Perhaps even a nudge to me would have gained the necessary edit....
