((Ok. Not to spoil anything, but would LS die if a sword was to say, stab her in the abbonem (Or whatever little freaky body she has)? )) |

((Little Sister's lived through having her head cut clean off (a duel I once had with Raven), and given that she can also move her vital organs about as she pleases I don't think stabbing her in the body is going to be very fatal (though it would be damn painful).
So long as you don't powerplay, feel free to go all out against LS. Should you do anything that would kill her somehow though, I'll probably have HE step in or something.)) _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

((Alright))
Leporidae was thrown into the air as LS pulled on her lifejacket. Luckly, she is not acttualy wearing the jacket, but was holding it from when she decided to fling LS around to current. At the right moment, when she was above what she thought was LS's view, she letted go and used her wings to propel her across the sky. It felt good, since she hasn't used the old things in a while. A sure sign she has been ill-treating her wing exersises.
Carefully flying behind and above LS, she aimed her sabre to hit her abbonem/body/whatever. She flings it at LS, hoping it will at least give her the upper hand for a short while. |

~Hm?~ Little Sister suddenly felt the jacket go limp in her hands, causing her to momentarily cease tearing into Leporidae with her woven claws. Seemed that she'd accidentally hurled the Rabcat, though for some reason she couldn't see where her opponent had landed. ~I didn't swing her that hard, she can't have gone fa-~
Her train of thought was cut off as she was suddenly skewered by Lep's sabre. Shrieking in pain, Little Sister's hair slumped down and unwove itself - she hadn't expected this surprise attack, and she now had to focus on regrowing and healing a few of her vitals. Bending low with her head almost touching the ground, she glared at Leporidae for a few moments before her hair exploded outwards in all directions.
Now protected by sharp spines from all angles, Little Sister scuttled back away from her opponent, confident that without her sabre the Rabcat would have no means of attacking her until she was ready to go once again. _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

Leporidae letted LS go ahead and wait for the healing process to begin. She would of continued fighting, but a spar is a spar. Floating down. she rested quietly onto the ground until LS is healthy enough to continue fighting. At this point, Leporidae mostly won anyway.
((Should we stop here and gather all of my materials so I can continue to the next belt or do we continue and wait a few days to simulate healing? We can even do both if you wish.)) |

((Hm... Although this has been a bit on the short side, I think it's enough to fulfil the duel qualifications. You've displayed a pretty good range of combat skills, showing me how you make use of both your weapons (though it didn't really get down to fighting tooth and claw).
For future reference though, hurling your sabre was an incredibly bad idea. Firstly, it was a move that entailed a high amount of risk that was almost totally reliant on me agreeing to take what would be to some a fatal hit. I could have just as easily had Little Sister continue to watch you and see that you were about to throw the sabre, then simply dodge it or catch it, and you'd be one weapon down. Against a weapon like Little Sister's hair, this would be a pretty big disadvantage.
However, you were fairly confident that I would take the hit, and given that this was a test of your skill and not my own I would be expected to oblige to most of your actions, so your confidence in your move is justified (consider the above a free lesson ). Contrary to what most people seem to believe however, if something stabs you, you'd be very stupid to remove it, as it's currently holding back a bit of blood flow (try jamming a knife into a water bottle, then removing it, you'll see what I mean). As somebody who can move and heal her own internal organs with relative ease, Little Sister could heal the critical stuff, then focus a bit more energy on attacking you as she continued to heal the non-critical stuff. So regardless of whether your attack would hit her or not, hurling your sabre at Little Sister means sacrificing your only cutting weapon.
Mantis Belt bearers live by their weapons - without them we may not be that strong, but with them we're more than enough to rival Tiger belt bearers and any other combat based style. Try to keep this in mind, as even if you feel that it's only a temporary loss, since we're both Mantis Belt bearers (well, me the Mantis Sensei and you an RPer who aspires to be a Mantis Belt bearer) it benefits me more than it benefits you. Losing a powerful weapon to your opponent is virtually the same as losing the whole fight imo (just ask Raven ).
Anyways, enough of me lecturing and reminiscing, I should probably get down to telling you what you need to do next. Please get together everything you need for the Green Mantis Belt, run down to the Tribal Pool and grab yourself a Jade Mantis Talisman. Once you've done that, just put how you fulfil each of the requirements in the message box that opens up when you use the Talisman and it'll go straight on to me.)) _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...
