GBE Challenges You!

((Thats right, I'm issuing a challenge for he or she who dares enter the challenge arena and take me on. Please, to avoid too much clutter, pm me. First come first serve. We'll discuss rules that we want. Considering the only other available judge by default is Swix, if you wish to select another judge also, pm them after we've discussed rules.

I'm not putting up a particular character at this moment as I don't know who'll respond. But, here is a link to my characters for a fair match to be picked out.

Panther walked into the arena, eating a hotdog with ketchup. She looked surprised as fans started cheering wildly. "...This isn't the Corrupted Cave... Unless Fort did a remodel again." She tossed the half-eaten food on the ground for the rats to scavenge and ran towards the center of the challenge arena, quickly shapeshifting a pair of bat-like wings as she went. When she reached the middle she assumed a fighting stance, electrified by the idea of crazy fans and someone to fight with.



((Sorry it took me so long to post, I forgot about this. ))

((I've had to think hard about who I want to put up against you. It came to a difficult toss up, but I think I'm going to stick Collator up against you. I need to brush the dust of him...

Are we doing this by points, knock out or give up...?))

A cat strolls up to one of the rats and swipes at it, snatching it in one paw it begins to tear it apart and eat it. The other rats quickly scuttle away whilst the cat is focussed upon eating his easy catch.

However, the crowd goes silent as a large metallic being steps into the arena. He looks around, and then locks onto Panther, and immediately begins to scan her, getting physiological information, tactical information and genetic information.
Stepping forwards towards Panther, a gleam comes over his eye. The only visible emotion bing from his eyes as he has his mask firmly fixed in place covering the majority of his face...

As Panther noticed the large shadow towering over her, she courled her wings tightly around herself and turned around. "Whoa.... " Said she, blinking slowly. She snapped her wings back open and took to the air, hoving about six feet from the ground. The shapeshifter grinned as she flew wide circles around her competitor, waiting for him to strike.

Collator looks up as Panther leaps into the air and begins to hover. Attempting to read the uppermost thoughts on her mind, namely where she was going to move to, and her next moves, and using the data he'd collected, balanced against known flight paths of animals and creatures he's studied in detail, he plans where to fire.

Raising both arms, he charges small balls of plasma and begins to fire at and around Panther, attempting to knock her out of the sky...

Perfect!

Panther shrunk suddenly and enourmously, nearly dissapearing from sight. Her fur had gained a sleek brown color while her feline tail shed and kept its scaly skin. She scrambled around on tiny feet, zooming for the wall of the arena. The shapeshifter lwould let the rodent's instincts have utter controll until she reached the edge, where she would morph osprey and attack from the skies.

Watching Panther drop from the skies, morphing into a rodent like creature, he begins to walk after her, stopping several metres from the wall. Raising one hand up, he charges a fairly large plasma blast, and pulling his elbow back past his hip, he shoves his hand forwards as he releases the plasma blast towards Panthers position.

Panther's body burst into a ridiculous amount of brown feathers as she nearly reached the wall. Her front forelegs sucked back into her bady as her backlegs became long and stick-like with four toes; each armed with a sharp talon. Two long bones burst from her sides, which soon covered themselves with muscles, skin, and feathers. The shapeshifter's face bulged forwards into a cylinder, then hardened at the end. The edge became a sick yellow color before curving downwards into a distincive bird of prey's hooked beak.

She scrambled into the air and flapped her wings. Only then did she notice the scent of burning feathers and flesh.

((One: Sorry for my extremely delayed reply.))

Collator raises an arm in Panthers direction, and extending his fingers, the four of them shoot through the air. Attached to them are thin, but very strong metallic wires. Two of the fingers form what can best be described as hooks. The other two are angled at a point just above Panthers position, in order to drop down and wrap around her.

Panther was soon wrapped in Collator's wires, which annoyed her greatly. She snarled as best an avian could and began to change again. Her skin roughened like a buffalo's skin, except grey and a lot less hair. Two long, floppy ears sprouted from the side of her head while her beak grew into a long hose. Her wings and legs fattened into stumps; all trace of feathers was gone now. As the elephant's instincts kicked in, twin tusks exploded from her mouth, sharpening at the end. She swung her head around to her opponent, who still had the wires attaches to her.

In her burst of sudden confidence, she turned fully around and pawed at the ground angrily, giving an equal glare to Collator.


((*cough* An example of my procrastination. Sorry. ))

Collator had not anticipated this form from his opponant. Knowing that the wires would not be able to hold the creature for very long, he begins trying to tangle Panther's legs with them. All the while, he takes up a sturdy position and prepares for the creatures charge, his other arm prepared to push against the force...

~Nice weapons, little robot. What batteries do you take?~ Panther taunted, trumpeting into the air. She lowered her head and began to run at a very fast pace...

…When she tripped over the wires. She skidded on the ground, heading straight for Collator.

((When are we putting a dealine on this exactly...?))

~Time until impact: limited. Options: Engage hostile, re-direct impact energy. Prepare to launch..~ Collator sticks out both of his hands in front of him, withdrawing the wires as quickly as he can whilst the creature charges him. Taking a stance leaning in towards Panther, he prepares to take the impact.

Knowing full well that he would not be able to take the full force easily, he prepares to leap backwards with the additional force of Panther's charge. ((Its up to you how this bit plays out, but if you collide, he'll kind of tumble, but drag you along, or, you'll kind of propell him into the air with the additional leap....))

After much prodding, poking and screaming at me by GBE to do this, I present your much belated scores!

GBE:

Believability: 10/10 – It’s Collator and Felix… what more can I say? . The wires not being able to take the weight of an elephant for very long, very good and believable.

Powerplay: 0/-10 – I see no powerplay, though I’m sure it’s hard to avoid that with a character like Collator.

Personality/Flair: 7/10 – You can tell it’s Collator by his constant scanning and anticipation attempts.

Cleverness/Inventiveness: 17/20 – I liked the throwing of plasma at a flying enemy in a circle, as flying enemies are rarely predictable. The wires get you marks too, I haven’t seen Collator do that before.

Grammar/Spelling: 9/10 – Yet again, those few spelling mistakes let you down. Apart from that your spelling and grammar was perfectly acceptable.

Believability: 10/10 – I see no problems with your believability, Panther was was Panther

Powerplay: 0/-10 – No problems with this either.

Personality/Flair: 8/10 – I could tell you were getting annoyed, trying to snarl as an avian!

Cleverness/Inventiveness: 18/20 – Turning into an elephant while up in the air and surrounded by wires you can’t get out of? Brilliant.

Grammar/Spelling: 8/10 – I saw a few spelling mistakes but nothing too major.

Total: 44/50

There you have it, Panther wins this round. But I wouldn't worry too much about it, both of you have improved considerably since you first started this .
