Puppet Training

((CRAZY SONG BIRD GET! I assume that you intend for me to get the bird now.))

Little Sister lazily reached out and grabbed the bird, feeling somewhat smug for outsmarting the little devil. She felt a strong desire to wring it's puny neck for all the difficulty it'd put her through, but she decided against it, as it was getting late and Xuxi would no doubt be already expecting her back.

Chadon pulled a low swoop over Xuxi as they came in to land - it seemed pleased to be done flying with this overly controlling female for now. A large woven hand extended out to the ghostly feline, the small song bird tied up with several thick strands of hair. Another thinner strand of hair passed a note forward to Xuxi.

[So with this, my task is complete?]

Xuxi smirked as she looked at the note, then bit the bird at its neck. She laid it between her paws and twisted sharply- which produced an audible cracking noise. She held onto the bird and read Little Sister's note again, cocking her head to one side, as if listening to something no one else could hear. "Yes, but the training contiues. There are still four other puppets to get accustomed to, remember?" She winked, then started digging. After a cloud of dust and dirt settled Xuxi held a orange lizard puppet in her mouth. She spit it out and began commenting on it. "The next one: Kasai, a medium-sized lizard with the attributes of fire. Call him a primal dragon, if you will." She waited for Little Sister to perform the standard ritual in summoning the puppet's spirits.

~Keh, what a waste of my time.~ Was all Little Sister thought as Xuxi snapped the bird's neck. Fancy having to go to all that trouble just to catch this ghostly grimalkin a plaything. Well, at least it was somewhat satisfying watching the bird getting what Little Sister felt were it's just desserts for giving her so much trouble.

Little Sister glowered a little as the spectral feline mentioned the prospect of more pointless tasks - she had expected to get good at this fast, and didn't enjoy having to put in actual effort to learn. She couldn't understand how HollowEyes coped with similar learning processes when he'd taken up using charms.

Xuxi then dropped a new puppet in front of her. She listened to her marionette mentor give an extremely vague description of this new puppet, and looked at it with a sense of dislike. Little Sister wasn't a huge fan of dragons, though she wasn't entirely sure why. Still, it wasn't like she had a choice, and she had paid for this new power, so she may as well accept it.

A sharp strand of hair pricked her tongue as Little Sister drew her symbol on the puppet's head - the mark that appeared to be a four-petaled flower from a bird's eye view, with two oversized leaves on either side of it, though this was actually what her eyes looked like. She then stood back a little, not really knowing what to expect from this one.

((New puppet, yay! It'll be interesting to see what this one does, though if you make LS go get you another songbird she'll probably lose it and demand a refund ))
