If Mough is witnessing this, she's either HE & LS' parents or perhaps some other extremely close relative (which afaik, she's not). Having twins born is one of those dirty little family secrets that nobody wants to get out, so most Parasitians prefer a private cover up so that their offspring can lead a normal life.

Additionally, were she that close, she'd have been within HollowEyes' freak-out range and gotten partially eaten.

The context is like

Mough hatches, notices several other eggs hatched (assuming that they generally keep them in the same place), peeks outside, and witnesses HE eating everyone. Hides.

I finally got the guts to post this. I thought you might want a few tips on being a comic author/artist/blah.

1. Tools. Every artist needs tools. I use a pigma ink pen micron 8 (for inking), watercolor paper (hold ink and coloring really well. It's great for sketching, too ), Prang/Roseart colored pencils, Anaconda size 2 graphite pencils, and General's charcoal pencils. And don't even get me started on erasers... A generic rubber is good for just about everything. It sounds like alot to buy, but it makes the comic all the better. Or, you scrap all this and buy photoshop. I perfer the traditional method.

2. Scripting. I usually go into Word and write a script for the page. Write the character, what they say, sound effects, ect. It's better than making it up on the spot like I did for the first few volumes of Project Doomsday. *nervous chuckle*

3. Music. It may sound weird, but music can really influence how you draw. Put headphones on and turn on appropraite music for the panel/page/whatever. I usually listened to Nirvanna, Green Day and Evanescence for angsty scences, rock for cheerier scences, ect. It really just depends on what you like.

4. ALWAYS HAVE AN ARCHIVE PAGE. PEOPLE GET EXTREMELY PISSED WHEN THEY HAVE TO GO BACK ONE HUNDRED PAGES TO READ A SECTION THEY MISSED.

Uuuuuummmmm....... *thinks* Oh, yeah. It's sometimes common for artists to use japanese kana as sound effects instead of english ones, it makes it more 'manga-like'. And it's cool.

When you draw, make sure you want to draw at that time. Don't force the drawings, even if it will be late. It's better to have a late, great looking page than a on-time, crappy looking one.

When you do the drawing, make sure you won't be disturbed. I hate it when my mom stands over my shoulder and keeps saying "WHAT'S THIS IT'S UGLY OMG HAH" and stuff like that. o.o

It doesn't make you a bad artist, it's just that most people like to sit down and not be disturbed when they draw. Myself being one of them. I definitely don't like being around people when I scribble, as it reminds me of how sucky I draw humans. Anthros, yes, people, no. WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?! *explodes*

Don't forget banners. A couple are good. Post them in as many places as possible, but not as spam. Work it into a conversation or something, then provide a link. People will want to click on something more than if an idiot runs around and pastes it everywhere.

While I figure out how the hell I can fix up the Shuriken website, I build a huge buffer~

I'd like the hex codes for the shade of green that 'GuildWarsTree' uses as a backround and the shade of yellow links use so I can fix up the main page with the Blackstar theme.

The first arc is 'Beowulf', and is about Mough.

The second arc's title is currently undecided, but will probably be 'Clipped wings' or 'flightless' and it will be Kumostory/Origins from Tsubasa's point of view. These two arcs will serve as a prologue of sorts.

The third arc is currently undecided, and is likely going to be an overview of Blackstar in general.

Arc and name ideas are highly welcomed. Filler pages are also welcomed as backup since I'm completely failing at setting this up

Third arc may well be a crossover with Kamaitachi, since I currently have 20 pages done on Beowulf and it's only just finished the prologue.

YES I ACTUALLY STARTED UPDATING SHURIKEN AGAIN. MY EXCUSE IS A WINTER BREAK. SHUT UP.

As a reward I colored this. In grayscale.

Why? Because it'll probably only be hinted to because I'm an idiot like that.

It's the same reason why the background is so plain (WHICH IS NOT BECAUSE I'M LAZY SERIOUSLY)

It's also done in tablet which is why Mough's head and the top end of the new guy is so crappy.

SO ANYWAY

This new guy is Azurian, which is Guardian in Parasitian. He is the original owner of HollowEye's armblades. The owner of the Third Eye, Sikomansu, will appear soon.

Three guesses at what Mough is shocked at.

Well, not quite yet at least. Interesting work so far Shaon, though I can only view two pages despite your 20 pages that you have ... Oh well, I'm sure you'll have them up soon enough.

New readers/members should keep in mind that Shaon's employing a bit of artistic liscense here (in other words, at any time I want to, I can basically say that she has done everything completely wrong and crush her little artistic spirit like a bug ).

I really, really liked how the paper version of this came out. It fit the mood well not to mention HE looked adorable and <333333

Also on that note I like the way I've been doing his new legs. He gains them during his massacre of awesome on my timeline.

So yes. Sikomansu likes to speak in really vague contexts.

If you haven't figured it out, their names are tributes to characters they were inspired by.

Azurian looks like Azurai the fire demon from Slightly Damned, though does not share his personality.

Sikomansu is, more obviously since now you can see her, based off of Psycho Mantis, the scary dude who can tell people's thoughts from Metal Gear Solid 2 I think. Excellent source for the third eye owner.

It was put on hold until I finished DH, and now that I've finished Tales from Terminus (AHAHAHA YES IT'S DONE YOU LOSERS) I'm taking a break from the series.

I'm moving the comic to Drunkduck, just so I can be like 'HAI LOOK POCKY I HAS A COMIC '
